Yoo i watched the enitre video and i thought it was from a big youtuber. Needless to say i was shocked when i saw 115 subs and 45 likes. You've got potential big man! Subbed
Man that AWE touring exhaust sounds very aggressive and really good bro. I have a muffler deletes on my 2020 STI right now. Thats what it came with when i bought it last year. It nails the Subie rumble perfectly. A great video brother. Subies Forever.😊
@@STi_Alan Yeah that is very surprising about the stock exhaust. I was thinking about getting the Ark Grip exhaust or the AWE touring. Right now I might just chill because the muffler deletes I have on the Bluebaru sound awesome 😎. I need to get that 4th brake light @subiefest out here on the 23rd of July. I will be going, it's my first Subiefest. Like I said before, we are lucky to have the VA STIs brother. I turn 54 on July 13th this week. Subies forever. If you are ever out here in San Diego brother, look me up and me and the wife will go out to dinner with you. Subies forever brother. Great maintenance videos all the time. Oh yeah. Take care.
@@paulmarsdensr1095 haha there’s so many modification options in the Subie community it’s hard to decide! aww thanks man!! Have fun at Subie fest and Happy Early Birthday 🎂🎈
Nice work on the video. I have the same exhaust just with the black tips. It's the best sounding exhaust that can get loud when you get on the gas while on the highway or stay quiet when cruising in the neighborhood. 👍
I have an sti too and I'm looking to buy this exhaust as well. My question is on a scale of 1-10 how loud would you say this exhaust is? 10 being it hurts your ears.
I'd say if the stock exhaust is a 5, this exhaust is about a 7 in loudness, not too loud but definitely a noticeable difference. The main benefit I've noticed about this exhaust is the deeper richer tone and you also get a few cool pops on downshifts!
If you stand next to it during a cold start it is borderline hurt you ears loud. I tested with a decibel meter and got between 106-108 dba on coldstarts from 19 in away. I saw up to 113 dba reving it and getting some pops. The exhaust sounds great but it is one of the louder systems on the sti. This is because it does not use mufflers. The midpipe has a resonator and the two back pieces that looks like mufflers are actually both resonators. You basically get muffler delete volume without the drone.
For a cat-back or axle-back exhaust you won't need a tune but once you start changing exhaust parts past the catalytic converter (ex.turbo-backs) you typically need a tune if you want to do it properly
@@ethanding3504 I haven’t had drone when cruising at 2500-3500 rpms. I mainly only hear the exhaust when idling, accelerating and downshifting, otherwise I hardly notice the exhaust while cruising, which is good

Wow thanks man!! I really appreciate the kind words, glad to have you join my journey ✌
So cool to see! I’m super happy I found your channel, I’ll be staying tuned on the build!!!
Yay!! Thanks so much! Happy to have you along for the ride ✌️

That’s great! I was surprised how much the stock mufflers holds back a lot of that aggressiveness and subie rumble

Thanks!!
Excellent choice! Yea it’s great having the ability to get loud while not making all the neighbors upset lol
Sounds really good! Always loved the boxer sound.
Thanks!! Ikr!? The boxer has such a unique sound
Lovely sound 🤌🤌 Congrats!
Thank you!! 🏎️🎶
Sounds mean! I would recommend pb blaster for those rusty bolts, it seems to work pretty good.
Thanks!! I might have to try that out 👍
Nice job Alan! That's the exact same system I'm looking at for my 21.
Thanks Tony!! I think It's a great system that gives a balance between loudness and clarity. Definitely a huge upgrade over the stock one!
🤩 i am impressed beyond words.
Thanks! I couldn’t have done it without you!! 😊
@@STi_Alan you had it all under control, just on standby for backup.
You are my new hero now.
Yay! 🤜 🤛

That was a very nice job, Alan. Is it as loud as your dad's Mustang 5.0 GT?
Thanks Uncle Robert!! The sound levels are definitely pretty comparable now😆

Do you need a tune for the exhaust? I am new to mods and tune.

Need equal headers
No. A sti needs the rumble. Equal length more efficient or not.
Does it drone at all?
I haven't experienced any drone at all!
@@STi_Alan dang. I’m sold
@@STi_AlanI had invidia R400 now on my Sti, it drone inside when cruising about 2500 to 3500 rpm. Do you feel any drone when cruising between these?

please turn down the music bro, love everything else
