Should be fun, I'm excited! In case anyone asks, I don't want it cause TH-cam doesn't feel like work. There's no responsibilities, no obligations, no real pressure - I can post what I want, when I want, and how I want. So I don't want to get paid for it. My business, my course, mentorship program, I'm grateful for it, I enjoy it, but at the end of the day, it's work - I have responsibilities, e...

I can't work a 9-5
มุมมอง 198Kหลายเดือนก่อน
I had a friend tell me the other day that he feels like a robot, clocking in at the same time, doing the same thing, every single day. If you're wondering why I work so hard - its because I'm afraid. Afraid of this not working anymore and me having no choice but to start working that 9-5. I can't do it - I think I'd go insane. $40,000 on upwork as a complete beginner - what I learned
Our generation was promised a better future and the older we got the less we started believing.
I work 9-5, but I work from home! I highly recommend a WFH job if you can find one. During down-time I rest, watch TV, or run errands.
Thomas ThNAKS
Brother Well done! Can you make a video or just reply to me how you learned those skills?
It’s not that you “physically can’t”. More accurate would be you mentally can’t.
What I’ve done is just pick a job with the minimum possible responsibility but pays just enough to cover everything in my life. I don’t care for holidays, or expensive clothes (tbh you can pick up legit branded stuff for cheap if you’re not afraid of thrifting), and I can keep my hobbies low cost; road cycling (bike cost 900GBP), gym, reading (second hand market or ebooks if you know where to look) music producing (if you know where to look then…almost zero) and gaming (PC and never buy AAA games, small steam library and I get 10,000+ hours of games that cost me like 50GBP combined by buying early access or games that are old). And if you know where to look, then yeah. That means I can switch off at work and use 5% of my brain while spending 75% of my shift reading books on my phone, I’m used to it now, I don’t have all the responsibility and I can almost slack off and just do whatever I want, sometimes having double my allocated breaks and nobody really notices. I never take my work home and it doesn’t follow me there either like some toxic career choices. Yeah they may pay more, but I think I’ve found my equilibrium between free time, stress level, and work/life balances For some people that may be torture or they may be more driven in terms of employment and wage, but it suits me I think.
Jobs are for dumb sheep and sheeple who like to be SLAVES who like to work for others. "Working" is a system made by the "elites" who want us all to be their slaves working our lives away until we die. Unfortunately, it's so easy to brainwash sheeple. Now, we have BILLIONS of sheeple who accept slaving 8 hours a day EVERY DAY of their lives until they're too old to do anything as a "normal" thing ! And NO. I'm not putting down who do menial jobs because I know some people are forced to do it but I'm just saying the idea that working 9-5 is the normal way for us to live is just plain stupid and so is those who defend this way of living.
I'm working 9-5 but at home remotely. The minute they tell me I have to come back into the office I will resign immediately.
8 hours a day is easy. i used to work 15 hours a day for only $1 an hour here in the philippines.
But you do have graphic design skills, correct? As in you do the actual work so it's not just an agency you're managing and outsourcing the work, but actually doing it. Is that correct?
Hello, I am a student Now wanna work in Upwork... I have been searching professional profiles for some weeks but didn't find one like you. who I genuinely wanna follow up.. can you be my mentor even if I should pay for it.. sir.
i think maybe a lot of people learned this narrative of “9-5 cubicle job until you retire” but in reality i meet a lot of people who are much older than me who had a varied life. recently i volunteered at a school and met the principle / headteacher. he studied design at university, worked as a technician for ten years, then worked in investment management for another decade or so, then became a teacher and rose through the ranks. and on the side on-and-off he taught saxophone in the US at summer camps. i was in awe realising life is really what you make of it. no one is forcing you down a linear path. i thought it was naive to think that way when i was younger but the older i get the more people i meet who have done all sorts and really made life unique.
White collar workers get more respect than low wage cafe workers. Office jobs aren't as repetitive as a cafe and you don't have to deal with all those pesky cafe customers. Find a job where you're not doing the same thing every day. "Choose a job you love, and you will never have to work a day in your life."
your journey is very inspiring and the anecdote about the black cup makes complete sense. Thank you for making the content you make
Good content right here, but It's the *wink *wink for me! haha
this youtube channel is like a visual copywrite. copywriting is changing and its disgusting imo
Good vid. Something that iman Talked about
What did he do to make money?
How about buying more followers. 😮
I need link to your course plz.
Just so you know, there are many people who work a 9-5 and ARE millionaires. My brother is one of those people, and I can almost guarantee you most millionaires have a 9-5. The secret is to not rely only on the 9-5 to get to that point. Obviously you can also do this as a solopreneur or an entrepreneur but it'd be much, MUCH harder. If life was a video game then this would be a level above hard mode.
I really needed to hear this. I'm not sure how TH-cam does monetization, but man, take the ad money. If you don't they will and I'm sure everyone here would rather you get something.
Its the same thing for me i cant work 9-5 jobs, in my mind is i am for something else but not for jobs And my dad is trying to find a job for me but i dont want to tell him that i dont want it
but . . but . . what if somebody offered you 200 grand for a 9-5? Would you take it then? :O
Thank you ❤❤
I make about 1k per month as an animator for youtube and I am so much happier than I would be at a 9-5 even if im making much less.
it is ok not to like 9 to 5. you can try to find jobs that are in different situations.
Thank you for your authenticity, refreshing video that I relate to. This is especially relevant for adults who actually have diagnosed ADHD. The 9-5 8hr days of disciplined workload is a setup for failure, "does not compute". Would be great to connect with you on for motivating each other and possible partnerships with revenue streams.
hi i'd like to follow your step by step to start off my up work profile how could i talk to you better about that ? gj man keep it up
if u had to masterize something in order to work in up work what would that be for u ?
I'm 23 and I am like tired of this shit
one review is better than none. God bless you for that statement
The job market is extremely competitive right now with fewer options all the time and the ever encroaching AI will only make it worse. In other words, if your just going to whine endlessly about actually working for a living with an inflated sense of entitlement, dozens of other workers are always immediately poised to take your place and leave you in destitution. Man up.
Bro the topic and everything your talking about is top notch but just hearing the sound of you constantly swallowing was driving me crazy, I hope you don’t take this the wrong way just giving you some feedback my man.
Cap. so much cap how do you believe
the way you phrase the advice is also pretty uncommon. Have watched a couple similar youtubers and no one is delivering this information the same way as you. I think thats what makes this channel so unique and valueable.
Good job I also doing this
I worked in bank before even with great co workers any job where you have to serve a line up a of people is going to be exhausting, as a bank teller you spend a lot of your day doing menial tasks that are not fulfilling or interesting, even the financial advisors some of them seem to like the job but you can still see how tired people are and how annoying it is to deal with all the bank polices constantly. Whenever I thought about my managers all I could think is how there was probably something they would have as a passion before they started at the bank but a lot of people mostly get stuck with average jobs for the most part which is kind of sad ):
You're not crazy. You're awake.
How to make someone pay without bringing any "real value" for your customers lmfao Genius!
just hold DIY workshops every sunday that'll be better than a course and it also saves time and you'll keep your integrity.
finally someone who have integrity, don't lose it boy.
I do 8-0..
I tell you why bro. You are just a genuine regular guy, experiencing regular relatable problems. When you see success, it's very intriguing, very motivating.
I can see your mindset slowly shifting. You're still doubting yourself too much. You can be a killer, a big dog, anyone can. I was the exact same like you, I can hear the exact same thought process I had, soon you'll realise your potential. Remember, you only make as much money as you tell yourself you can
what do you do?
Hello there it would be nice to have an app that allows people to find fellows alike to create an idea/business. With a cool list of different specialities a person wants to start it's also would be a great idea if there was some teachers from the fanbase for free who already knows their "job" and can invest some hours anyday they feels ready to teach/inspire of course it might be a subscription with hired people for that purpose. I think it would be a banger for people who don't wear 🕶️ on the rainy day. Some people have ideas how to make something useful and you can imagine how low the % who can do it alone..
You can social network to make money quick such as go to gym, dont be afraid to talk to people, make a community and theres many ways to make passive income online nowadays. People don't realize there are options everyday and it goes past you because we've been programmed to think 9-5 is the only way. Think outside the box instead if doing the things you're told to do.
They hate us
Never looked at it in this aspect. Great video!
You have no idea how you saved a life from a older guy who been on child support finally about to get off.Time to take a chance change this cycle thank you
