Another hack is to use Ai for the proposals. Copy the job description, then tell it to write a proposal based on your skill set. Don't just copy, paste what chatgpt gives you but edit the response. This saves a bunch of time, and has gotten me clients.

I've taken a year off from working 9 to 5 for 9 years and quite honestly, I don't see myself returning to this line of work anymore. For a long time, I wanted to build an income through other means like Upwork for example. This video helped a lot in what to do next with my Upwork experience.
Bro, you posting good content. very good insights. It is very expensive to bid on projects. I have 1-2 clients that can hire me on using bring your client programme. I will use your tricks man. It is solid. I liked the cover letter trick. Very tricky.
I landed my first 2 month assignment (which the client wants to extend already) with zero reviews, and just 2 weeks on Upwork, zero projects. Just a good work experience, and uploaded my resume without social media links and email address. But I also have 15 years of experience and worked 4 years in an executive position for start-ups. But still. You can do it.
Oh and the client has advertised they wanted someone with a minimum of 10.000 earning 😂 I had zero. Nul. Nada. My withdrawal (pending still) and tax ID is not even working (it keeps rejecting🥲). I think more and more clients are searching for qualified people, rather than cheap and fast.

the BYOC is great, but the downside is the client can't add a review nor will that job affect your JSS score in any way. It's essentially Upwork acting as a means of transferring payments.

@@preciouskennedy6370 Feedbacks! get feedbacks even if you hvae to do work for free. Keep your rates around 10 USD. Add as much portfoliios with Keywords in Tittle. Complete profile score. Apply to proposals. I wrote 2-3 proposals everyday, initially. But now, I don't touch proposals at all. All are personal invites for projects.

Quick qs bro, on Upwork it states hourly rate for the job. How do you figure out how long a project takes? Is it based off of how much time it took you or do they give you a time limit to complete and that will dictate your pay?

Hi Thomas, I recently got scammed where I was supposed to get $400 and I didn't know manual time is not protected so now my account is suspended. No one in upwork is replying to my emails its been 6 days no body is helping I don't know what to do.
What did they suspend you for?
@@cardinchen9389 my client scammed me upwork team would not tell me what happened, they just said "im not gonna get paid " "they will refund the money i earn from my account to the client" they said the client has committed fraud. But the still have suspended me and when I asked no response
feel like there's something you're not mentioning. Upwork told you the client committed fraud and now you're suspended? What was the job? What was the scam? You need to provide more details
There is no way that Upwork wouldn't contact you or get you your money for your work. Like they care about few hundred bucks, they are multi millionaire company. They would pay you your money if you did the job right or maybe they are still investigating if this was some sort of scam or fraud maybe they are trying to find loop hole in their system, that other person used to scam you but more importantly them with fake amount of money. This happens very rarely, almost never but it can happen. But again it's much more likely that you didn't read rules, terms, policies or that you didn't apply for the job in timely manner. And so on. Like they wouldn't purposely pay you $400 bucks come man 😂.
@@ThomasIm so there was a job posting where a client says he needs help with channel growth and monetization. I sent my proposal and we both agreed on a fee than i logged in my time to prepare a strategy soon after I submitted the work even uploaded the resources we are going to be needing for the youtube growth, everything was going okay I gave him a few extra free content plans he gave me a bonus aswell for that, 6 hours later my account got suspended I submitted an appeal asking them what happened, then they told me the client I worked with has commited a reverse fraudulent and they will be refunding the clients money back to the client billing. And they told me the client's account is banned and i am suspended till next week even after uploading all the required proof of work
