Thanks Jim! Glad to have ya here
Hi Jeremy. Good progress. 35 hubs should go onto the 46 spindles. There might be a problem with the length, but they should go on. Your hubs might not be 35s but might be trailer hubs. That stub looks like a trailer axle. The other possibility is that the spindles might be from a truck with bigger inner bearings, or they might have been fitted with bearing adaptors to take the chevy hubs.
@@MartsGarage I think you might be on to something with the trailer hub idea look at that torch cut spindle , when I first showed the wheel. That doesn’t look like a car spindle to me. Thanks for following along Mart !

That was a good find on those Model T fenders, and what a deal! You might consider mounting a hydrostatic trans and rear end from a junk lawnmower. Extend the axels out and put chain drive to the rear hubs. Just a suggestion, I've seen that done. No doubt with your talent you'll figure it out. Really enjoying your videos, take care Jeremy and watch out for this heat!
@@juniornunley5412 I was thinking of that exact thing you described. It might be that or a small 3 speed transmission with a torque type belt clutch. Not sure yet. Probably whatever falls into my hands. Thank you much for following along!
When I first saw your scrap pile of old appliances, I thought "hell, he could build the "T" out of the sheet metal in those cabinets". I love working with it (except welding is difficult). I bought a sheet of 18 ga. for patch panels on a truck and that is a son of a gun to work with. You have done a good job of duplicating an old "T" truck, but if you don't. make it to drive, I agree with your wife about it being built for yard art.
@@ginfizz20 thanks for watching! I’m in the process of getting it to drive. I bought a sheet of 18 gauge for work on my 40 ford, there are videos of that as well. You are right, my break will barely bend it

@@juniornunley5412 I know that amazed me too! They looked the same, and they were. Just a different bolt pattern for the wheel, otherwise identical
Maybe you could make it a chain drive rear end. Some old large trucks were chain drive and so were some old model t truck conversions.
@@blaircrocker9845 yes I think something like that would be a great option and look right. Thanks for watching!
Crossmember, grille and headlights look great - factory even. Sweet deal on the fenders too!! For the motor/drive system maybe you could make something that looks like the early Mack (1910s - 1920s) chain drive rear wheels...

Thanks friend! What a compliment! I am glad you enjoy the videos. Thank you very much
if you planning on running chevrolet disc brakes on the t thats a wise decision the hot rod guys generally used 70's camaro rotors and calipers in conjunction with a corvete dual pot master cylinder im sure you already know this but in case you dont a single pot master cylinder isnt a really good idea because if you develop a leak from say fluid line or wheel cylinder you just dont have any brakes the dual pot cylinder will be a much safer option and you wont lose all braking ability for you it may be better to buy the disc brake conversion kit granted its about one thousand dollars but its a bolt on kit if you buy each part individually its cheaper and you will need a lathe to make a bushing chad over at this and that garage y.t. channel has a video on converting his 40 ford hot rod to disc brakes and names off most of the parts needed to do a disc brake conversion the video is recent also chad is pretty good about responding to comments and questions from viewers im sure he would be happy to give you advice
There could come a time when I do a disc brake conversion on the 40. If I do I’ll check out the video u mentioned. Right now all the drum brake stuff is still new and working okay. U are right with the single pot master cylinder and a leak, losing all brakes is a bit concerning. The model t is going to have pretty minimal brakes just enough to stop it. Maybe rear only.thanks for following along!

No that's a squareback spindle. (46-48, maybe 42) Look at Eliza's, they're round where the backplate bolts on. lots of disc brake kits were available. Many used chevy rotors.
Okay, I just looked and see what you mean now. Thanks for watching!
Hi Jeremy. That is a mish mosh of parts. The frame looks like 46-48. Could be 41 not sure. If you look the inner boxing pieces actually make a box. The 40 is just 2 channels. The radius rods are 46-48 they have that dip in them. The axle is a dropped axle. It might be 37-40 or 32-36. Measure the distance between the perch bolts and compare to Eliza. That will tell you. The ends of the axle look to have been filled. That was an old school trick. It might be worth something. Look for round back or square spindles. Round back are 37-40. The spring might be 41. Or 42-46. The top leaves have been fitted underneath to lower and soften it. With a bit of straightening it will be ideal for the T. For a roadgoing vehicle it would need a lot of straightening and improving on the alignment of all the parts.
Thanks Mart! I’m glad you watched this, I always appreciate your information and knowledge on these cars. I will measure and compare to Elisa and check for the square spindle base. I didn’t notice that the spring was different . I kinda quit looking after I made the decision not to use in Eliza. I did notice that the spring bushings were a bigger diameter though. Your last couple videos, you were having a lot of fun!! Enjoyed those
What a lucky find! Odd how they built it though...Door looks good.
I have no idea who started that project. I wonder if it was measured out correctly. After seeing that those were split, I pretty well knew I wasn’t going to be rolling it under Eliza. Then finding it bent. Good for the T though, and cheap! Thanks Gary
Get steerable front axle under it and other door be time to put it in the front yard 🤓🤗
Thanks John ! Getting closer. I don’t want anyone around here to see it till it looks kinda complete. See how many are fooled into thinking it’s real , ya know
