Dish soap and water are great when dealing with rubber weatherstrip installation. They lubricate without leaving a problematic residue for any subsequent bodywork needed; such as silicone does.
Yes, I do that when putting on motorcycle tires also if you can leave them out in the sun a few hours first it helps. That would have been my next step , had it not have went. My big issue now is figuring out if it’s only the river hole off or the whole thing

That’s expensive, my wing vent glasses were 80 and I can’t remember what the windshield cost. I probably mention the price, if I were to watch that video. I don’t know what to think about that vent seal yet. Hopefully when I put the wing glass in I find that it’s just the river hole.

Seems that all that rubber and interior stuff gets a bit tedious. Just keep working through it. Heard a guy once say, if you’re only working on one car sooner or later ya got to do all the hard stuff! Thanks for following along!
Well done Jeremy! Access to my garage is partially blocked right now, but I will try to get in tomorrow and take photos of the wind wing rubber and the point where the division bar touches the rubber. It doesn't really surprise me that the rivet hole appears to be in the wrong place in the rubber (if that is what it turns out to be) as there are a lot of errors in some of the repro parts. The shift knob looks correct to me-the color would be brown/maroon for the Deluxe and Sand for the Standard -I think silver would look great in Eliza. Great video!
