- Eliza 40 was able to get from Illinois to Missouri in the last video, but not without issues. We were experiencing overheating issues for the first time ever. I now believe that the timing slipped due to missing star washers on the points. In this video we install a new aluminum radiator as an added precaution and try it out. #ford flathead #40ford#overheating car#aluminum radiator #classic car#mechanical work#explaining retarded timing
Timing an a good rad is everything for these old flathead. Glad ur up an running, Jeremy. Later Terry.😊
Thanks for watching Terry! Eliza is feeling a bit better, I think
Turned out really nice. Enjoyed the build or restoration of the car.
Looks like that new radiator and the timing did the job on cooling the old 40. I'm glad it worked out. You take care Jeremy.

@@mywaymanufacturing2817 That 19lb cap seems wrong for a flathead. But, I don't remember the cap type that was on my 40.
@@supernovaVII yeah I think it should be about 4. That cap would raise the boiling point, but I don’t know how much. I’m going to research that some
