Omega Seamaster Professional 300m - Midsize Watches Wear Better Than You Think - 212.30.36.20.01.002
มุมมอง 21Kปีที่แล้ว
The Seamaster has always been a favorite of mine. I’ve purchased each iteration since the 2531 both in quartz and automatic. And while I love the Seamaster, it has always struck me as slightly too large specifically the latest model from 2018. This midsize version may be slightly too small for some, but considering the move back to watches in the 36-40mm size, this may be the perfect time to ch...

Tudor Heritage Black Bay 79220 (ETA) vs 79230 (In-House)
YOU said that Rolex is not ceramic, but it is ceramic on the subs. but the Tudor is aluminum with paint filled.
Just got this watch myself the main reason was I have a blue tag aquaracer and a black omega seamaster so the green compliments them both in the watch winder, personally the seamaster is the comfiest to wear all day. Great video btw.
Omega seems like it will always be the poor man’s Rolex.
Fabulous analysis and explanation, thank you
I’ll forever maintain that, while the modern straight text and Tudor shield look great on the dials of the Pelagos watches, the Tudor rose and smiley text looks more fitting on the black bay diver dials. I wish my BB54 had the rose and smiley text. Dang you, Tudor 😤 😂
It’s a shame they won’t re-release it
I have the exact same model with black dial and ceramic bezel. It is SO comfortable. It’s a keeper for me.
I miss it! Congrats!
It's disappointing that this watch has an aluminum bezel instead of a ceramic one, as high-quality timepieces typically feature ceramic bezels.
Ceramic on divers is rather new as of 2010ish. I actually prefer the aluminum.
Prefer my full titanium Grand Seiko diver.
So. Do you like the sub better then the explore??? Im looking to buy my very first Rolex
They’re both great for different reasons. I slightly favor the submariner, but I like that the Explorer is more under the radar.
Why didn't you get the non wave dial SMP?
I’ve reviewed that version in another video. It’s probably my favorite one.
Nope, O.H.M.S.S. IF YOU KNOW YOU KNOW.
Omega watches once again disappoint us with no Tfit. GS does the same with their new watches. Thank goodness for Tudor and Rolex. They listen to their customers, and that’s why I bought 6 Rolex watches for my family. I own four Tudors. I only have one GS and one Omega. No mas……
Got the 2531.80. Sometimes i wish i had the 2220.80. Ow well the 2531.80 is a stunner nonetheless. On top that i have got the 2254.50
Unique design???? There is nothing "unique or original" about it, wow just WOW, this is a homage at best. A 300 M depth rating and yet NO crown guards...DUDE if you were ever going to take it diving, you would need crown guards as you do hit things which happens. This is just a sad sad review. Oh yeah great conversation starter...."Oh it's not a Rolex but is working hard to be one....." yeah great conversation, why not just buy a Steinhart and be done with it. Oh and the name "Silent Service" oh yeah how original, no connection to any submarine branch but trying to co-opt the name to make it seem like a Submariner....just sad lack of any UNIQUE or ORIGINAL feature or design, and yet your "review" is just shilling, pure shilling like a carnival barker.
Just went on the wait list today with my local AD. Hoping for a call within the next 5 months.
Fingers crossed! I hope you get the call sooner than later.
Where do you work? So i can work too and buy myself a seamaster🤔
Hi! Great video, thanks for posting. If you still have the watch, do you know the width of the dial?? Thank you!
Do you think this watch would also fit to my 7inch wrist? Or do you think that this Tudor is too small?
It’ll appear small, but it’s all about what you enjoy. I don’t mind small watches at all. I think it’s classy.
Bello ma quel spessore non mi convince. no
Nicest seamaster in regard to size Omega makes now is the 39.5mm planet ocean. Perfect size as it is actually a 40.5mm which is the exact same size as the Sub.
Also the hands are longer than the original version
Literally the worst metal bracelet in the history of bracelets. It looked horrible when it was introduced in the Summer of 1984.
I pick up my Rolex Starbucks in 4/2024 after getting the call from AD. I waited 10 months and bought two other Rolex watches before getting the call.
That’s awesome! It’s worth the wait.
Tudor is the cheap Rolex and nothing is gonna change it. Omega is in many way better than Rolex especially when it comes to the movements and dial materials
Beautiful watch! Iconic design, great features, but boy is it bulky. I'm more of a datejust guy.
I agree. I wish omega would re-release the midsize
I already have OG 2531.80 and gmt variant of this(2535.80). Normal person would say that's enough, but I am looking for this 2220.80 version as well. But hard to find one with perfect alu bezel insert. Great timeless peaces. I like them more than the first ceramic models and the current ones. Bracelet is perfect to me, perfect proportions of both sides of bracelet, and the watch and fhe clasp, and smooth as silk, no sharp edges. And of course wave dial is unique, always different looking.
The Tudor bezel is, in my opinion, superior to the Omega.
Hmm. Cost no object I'd get an Explorer II Polar. But stupid money of Rolex these days, since it was just a couple years ago you could have had the Explorer II for under $7K and now it's crazy money, I'd have to put this Tudor on top. If they had a polar white dial option, it would be a no-brainer, IMO. Chunky for sure, but that may actually be some of its charm.
Was never a huge fan of the green bezel, but after seeing it in this video it’s really starting to grow on me!⌚️👀
Didn’t Bond have a Quartz one ?
Only in Goldeneye.
Just bought a brand new seamaster 300. love the watch except........the lume is really poor!!!! very difficult to read at night. The face indices are decent enough but.... the hands are barely visible at night. It was returned to Omega's Los Angeles service center and determined to be "within spec". If you do dive with your watch our wear a watch at night - this may not be your best choice. Oct. 2024
Picked up a 2023 version. The metal strap was too heavy for my wrist so have it on the brown leather strap. Loving it so far it’s a classic for half the price of the Rolex
I've got a Polar with the 3186. I think mine's a 2010 (G series?) Lovely watch.
Gives the GMT a run for its money.
Watches are funny things... I've known about this watch for a decade without much interest, and now I can't stop thinking about it all of a sudden.
Watches are like disease. I feel the struggle 😂
Hey, nice video. Might I offer a observation: your description of the Triplock Crown feature was a little unclear as it appeared you described the crown, caseback and crystal gaskets are what make up the Triplock system when in fact, the name refers to the 3-part waterproof barrier located within the crown assembly, hence Triplock *Crown*. Anyway, good luck and thanks for the video.
No problems with date wheel. 2024 build. 2 seconds slow per day, fits my 8.25 inch wrist well. I have a Forstner jubilee on it, polished center links dress it up.
Watches tell time.
Casino Royals was NOT the best Bond film! The best Bond watch is the Brosnan 2531.80 model.
I prefer the 2541.80, just because it was the first for brosnan 😊
$5000.00???? Recently I paid ( the Netherlands) 6700,00
love this watch but hate the steel bracelet. That's the one thing Omega does wrong. The rubber band on it looks perfect though
The black bay is not in same universe as the seamaster…….
Hello, good video. The grey price on this sub is 40-50% higher than MSRP from an AD !! Not similar at all.
$5,900?
Thank you MrMatias. It IS a "Y". 2002 it must be then. Thank you for helping me out. You solved a mystery of mine that's lasted since 10 September when I bought it. Whoever owned it before me sure took excellent care of it. Not a nick or scratch on it. And, I haven't had to rewind it once. It keeps time as accurately as my cell phone. Thank you! Thank you! Thank you!😋😋😋 ~Bobby
Young Jason Walker Laura Smith Sharon
Thank you so much for this review! Made my decision to get one even easier :D
Although not for me, the original bond era seamasters look so much better than all the modern ceramic SMP 300s. Enjoyed the vid.
Very nice if you got it recently it may be the MK2 with a lighter green more like the original non ceramic Kermit
I have the Japanese version as well. It’s been running consistently at +1-2 seconds/day. Totally agree in the clasp. Had the same criticism so thank you for the clasp recommendation! Will look into that
A diver's extension on a watch no one will wear for diving. Brilliant.
