I have an Oppo 103D which I thoroughly enjoy playing my DVD-Audio/SACD's.......
Yamaha still makes some sweet integrated but they are spendy.
Hi, new vinyls here in Brazil costs starting from 50 USD. So, some Blue Note or similiar ones are unnafordable here. I've unboxed last week a 10 euros 2012 DOL/Vinilogy bought at Danish imusic. Although some people say all DOL issues are CD craps, I've been very satisfied to my DOL vinyls, it's like the bands are playing at home, loud and clear.
Hello, good evening, I hope you are well. I am tirelessly looking for an answer, I believe maybe you have it. I am 51 and I like listening to vinyl records, some vinyl recordings reproduce low volume audio and others louder. But when we listen to music from FM radios the audio is perfect and all at the same volume level. What is this device that is used on FM radios?
Belcanto e1x or the belcanto black x. Had a chance to listen to one hooked up to Wilson watt puppys and it was sublime.
I've got a pair of M2.4s, I wish I could trade somebody for the M2.2s instead because I'll never bi-wire.
What version of isonoe feet did you get? There's like a 16kg and 25kg version
I love the isonoe feet
"Im selling my audio gear"....... to buy new audio gear. 😂
A Leben integrated tube integrated might be a good a good match with the Zu speakers. The El 34 model puts out 30 wpc.
i had the same loudness problem and after it the motor broke ,, i replaced it with a 65 euro motor and it works fine again
Do you have a link for the motor?
Same question that others have asked, do you have a link for the motor? It was obviously made for something else (anyone know what?). The uk suppliers of the machine are asking £150, but currently don't have any in stock anyway. This is pricey for a vac motor (which are often around half that or less), but I can't find one of around the stated wattage of 800W. Any help welcome. Thanks.
@@colinbox9074 the channel owner wount let me link it .. i tryed like 10 times
Just checked your video out and they do make a difference . I have a pair 10 foot by-wire and the 2.1 also, though I'm looking to add another pair 2.2 x 10 spade tips . I have a adcom 5800 that I'm put the 2.4 on and the hk990 for the highs to a pair of polk a9s . Your thoughts . By the way .what are the speakers behind you ? Kef? Anyways I also had a pioneer set up in the 70s and have bought the same system again ,the sx9000 ,pl50 and cs88a speakers and have bought 5 different shure styles and cartridges and the sx1010 and have gone vintage for the nostalgia and because I like the sound . My gear collection is mostly all vintage cerwins d9s and at 12 and polk a9s and lsi 15 even teac reel to reel 4 channel 1/4 inch tape player / mixer ect , though don't use it as of now . Thanks for reading and any suggestions welcome 👍
Exactly what I need to know before purchase. Thank you.
LOVELY
I would like to get the L550, i have a Sony ta-f555esR jdm version and it's good for almost all types of music, good bass and space treble it's a very good amp and have have power not a class A
I'm a minimalist and after 6 decades of audio, trying all combination of amps, pre-amp, integrated amps. The magic started with Belles Aria a hand built, in the USA, an integrated amp by David Belles. He's has produced many Gems over the decades featured at various HiFi Shows driving everybody's speakers. I prefer to drive high quality 2 way bookshelf speakers for near field listening. Do yourself a favour and spend some time listening to Belles Aria, great phono stage, with several inputs for CD etc.
To play 3 instruments its does not show capabilities.... Its not big deal... Play all choir with orchestra its challenge and show equipment dynamic distortions weekness.... Speakers with any tube play like strings with connected to it tube its mean with distortions and tube character over neutral instruments colour . Also tube speakers are first symptoms going to be deaf.. Lack of local feedback in electronic give dynamic over neutrality...Mosfet cut transients .... this amp do not have real XLR ...
Why not just use the EQ tone controls inside of roon? Already in the price of roon
I think yer decision is feminine
Cool
lol ..yup 😊 I recently did an a/b test on two cds 💿. An old “original” Suoertramp Breakfast in America…and a newer “remastered “ cd 💿…..the OG was superior. And after that …I’ll get an OG copy of what I like if it’s available.
I just took the Schiit Lokius out of my headphone system ..the deltas are far too wide to give me the control that I’d like ..and even then when I used it, for really poorly recorded and mastered music …so I guess too each their own.
Very Nice
Great review! I wonder if i can keep my thick MNPCtech feet on my technics to fit this one or need to change back to the originals . Looks so good.
Naim Nait 2.
Same here with the increasing level of noise. Also had 2 of the 3 plastic motor mounts break - I never dropped it so that was a surprise. I did drop the plastic record clamp and that broke so I bought the metal one and it works fine. It came with a clear plastic record-sized disc to keep the underside of the record from getting dirty/wet again from the vent but that cracked so it was unusable (used a junk 10 inch record instead). Other than those, absolutely no issues 😊
i only buy original pressings now, nothing new. incredibly, a lot of hifi people are ok playing digital sourced vinyl?! the worst of both formats and none of the advantages.
my most memorable music experiences were back in the sixties on a one to two hundred dollar system . music listening in those days was all about the subjective state of the listener , not the external gear. but it was stressful to stay that high all of the time so i opted for some nice equipment . i ended up with a pair of Polk SDA speakers ,85 lbs each , a Carver magnetic field amp , a no name pre amp and a sony walkman professional that sat on top of one of the speakers .😂 when i told the salesman what my source would be , he looked at me bug eyed and gave me directions to the nearest psych ward . the room had a vaulted ceiling and was about ten by twenty with a couch strategically placed for optimum listening . the room size and shape was irrelevant as it became readily apparent that the speakers and amp could melt walls with astounding clarity .
I have an Emotiva setup at the moment PT1 preamp and BasX A2 power amp and will probably go with a integrated amp next time upgrading. I’m really interested in the Advanced Paris A12 or A10 I think either one would pair nicely with my Denton 85th Anniversary speakers.
NAH-GAH-OAK-AH. It's not Naggy-oka. Thanks for the review. I wish I had gotten this and not the Ortofon Bronze.
It's actually pronounced "NA-GOW-KA" if you want to split hairs.
Trust me you really don't want to wish that, the bronze is fabulous, maybe I have a dud Nagaoka 1210 but I just can't stand it sorry.
I have this cartridge and can confirm that it is top notch and well worth the price especially if you have an equally good phono pre to let it shine.
Yay more for us!!!
I have the Gregory Porter live Recording Edition. Sounds good, but there is audible hum and noise and the recording balance is not 100% my taste (singer to much in the background). 444€ is a lot of money, I expected better sound. I also got the Nina Simone "I put a spell on you" picture disk - this one really sounds superb.
Would this help for people with hearing loss?
ive never had the budget to do mucn more than Blue Jeans cable and such, I would like to try some Kimber Kable's. I just upgraded my amp to "mid fi" Rotel A11 Tribute, so im pretty excited about that. Enjoy your channel and content. Brian, Charlotte NC

Hey, welcome back haven't seen you in awhile Look forward to more content
Thanks...Things have settled down a bit. So I can start making videos again :)
I just bought a 1210GR and had it delivered last Friday. I also own a VPI Classic 1 30th Anniversary. I will look at the stand because it looks marvelous. My questions: So it seems that you can add extra feet that will fit under this new wood base, I'm looking at the IsoAcoustic Gaia III? Do you use your additional weight on the counterweight with your cartridges as I noticed that my numbers seemed off without it on counterwieght scale? I always use a digital scale and shure analog for tracking weight as a counter measure. How accurate did you find the technics white overhang guage, as I still use my Dr. Feickert to double check, is the needle suppose to be slightly over the overhang guage to match the arrow? Have you noticed that when you let down the tonearm lifter the arm slights dips, but recovers before going on to the record? My goal buying this besides sound was to quickly change between cartridges with a good mono cartridge in mind. Thanks for all you do with the videos and it is good to see you back in the mix again Dale.
Hi thanks for watching. 1. Any feet attach to the turntable. The plinth itself has no threaded holes. My butcher block acoustics stand takes the same "thread" as the 1200.The Gaia feet should work with the Butcher block. And I see no reason for them not to work with the TT and Plinth. 2. I do not need the counterweight since I can level the tonearm without it. However, I know that many do use it with heavier cartridges and/or headshells. For instance, if you want to use an Ortofon SPU, you'll need a counterweight. I'm not certain if the supplied counterweight effects the Technics lid closing. Some larger aftermarket counterweights do not allow the lid to be closed. 3. I aligned my cartridge where the stylus is even with the gage. However, I do not think slight deviation would be a major issue. 4. My tonearm goes down straight. Your tonearm set up may be a bit off. What cartridge do you have? Are you using the stock headshell?
@@archifi9978 I have three head shells and used a dynavector 10x5 stock headshell, Hana EH and a Denon Dl-301mk II. My Hana ML is on the VPI and I have several other cartridges that I will be buying headshells for. The arm goes down, but when it is at its highest point, when lowering, it drops, then smoothly goes down. My goal would be to apply the Gaia feet to the turntable and put the custom plinth around that. So, I get it, no false feet and the plinth is a wrap around, and what ever feet you have go through, thanks. I just didn’t want any obstacles in the way of the Gaias. This is a very good table with excellent bass, drive and pitch. I wasn’t sure if the bass was going to be as good as the VPI, but depending on musical choices, it’s better.
@@sidvicious3129 Hmmm you may want to do a search, there may be an adjustment for the lever-lowering mechanism.
@@archifi9978 Hey thanks again for the reply and yes, I have started to do just that.
hey ,I know this guy on Stevehoffman forums, nice plinth upgrade.
Thanks
Wow I would really love one in a walnut finish
I bet they cam make one
so beautiful plinth wow! i always wanted one for my 1210GR i wonder how beautiful it would be.
All black would look amazing IMO
Best upgrade: Bin it. Replace with a $30 mp3 player from China.

I am about to go place an order. I see he makes one for the sl1200 mkII in a nice wood finish which i especially love
Great tell him you saw the video..also post a pic when you receive it thanks
That is a very nice looking plinth. I appreciate the link and info. Maybe one of these could be in my 1210 Mk.V's future.
I'm guessing you will not regret it.
Those look really cool. How does it address cable access?
The rear does not hang below the Power or RCA outputs. So no change at all when connecting cables. Same Clearance :)
Looks beautiful. Well done. I’ll have a dedicated circuit installed for my audio system this coming weekend. Very curious to see what it does, if anything, to the sound.
Let us know if you hear a difference. I assume a separate line from the outside Power main into dedicated fuse box, then to your outlet?@@danijelsan81
@@archifi9978 only from the breaker box to the receptacle. Will I have stones hurled at me if I claim to hear a difference in sound? 😁
I bet it will be much quieter without any other lights, etc using the same feed@@danijelsan81
I totally commiserate with your current position. I have gone through a few systems since the early 70s and quite frankly I love audio as a hobby but I just wanna sit and listen to a nice simple basic system that is high and without all of the interconnects and power cords and tweaks and pokes. Currently looking at the Conrad Johnson Integrated system with built-in DAC. That system runs about 50 K, I’m going to have to check and see if it’s got an upgradable DAC but I doubt it. Thanks for that thought. Good luck!
Do not buy this Project record cleaning machine. The pump got damaged within the 2 year guarantee period. The machine then sounded like a 747! Ordered a new pump one for €150, but it seems that Project did not have spares! I kicked the Project in the butt. Terrible customer care. Buy a Humminguru.
No don't buy a humminguru as well mine got broken just after 2 years now. China c.. I have now a vevor ultrasonic and a pro-ject and if the pro-ject ever will brake too I upgrade to okki nokki one or record doctor X
You don't mention Hegel, yet that brand has a strong reputation alongside Naim for example.
Only one disagreement with your review - buy from a local dealer! Bezos wont help you with setup, or anything else. He doesn't need your business. (yes, I am a Naga dealer)
