That's a lot of disrobing just to play a record. A lot of fluff to attempt to justify the overpricing of what should be $10 at most. One of the reasons I've gone completely hi-res digital.

That is a good reason to go digital. I listen to quite a bit of digital vs LP's

    Hey there…
So I’ve only seen 1 other person do this in my 45 years of record buying/collecting. I always take the jackets out of the box and place them on the shelf next to the box. Specifically to the right. When you have 6500 LPs, who has time to play the Russian nesting doll game. I just want to take the jacket off the shelf and play music. Of course you need a little extra shelf space to do this on top of the plenty of shelf space you already need with this many records. In an alternate world of my choosing, we don’t need ‘boxes’ and the usual accompaniments, especially for just 1 special record. Just the very best outer jacket that can be made and the LP(s) would be just fine. And along with that the reduced cost for just those things. My thoughts on the box dealio.

Thanks for watching. I totally agree. I think your system is actually quite smart. Plus, the boxes will see less wear over time. Here's the thing, I have actually avoided playing a record because I did not want to mess with the box. I would just stream it instead.
