Time To Go
United States
เข้าร่วมเมื่อ 24 เม.ย. 2019
Finally, it's Time To Go! Time to hit the road. Time to explore. With two adult children, retirement for one of us and remote working for another, we are enjoying traveling in our Coachmen Prism Sprinter 2021 24CB Class C Motorhome. We have camped for over 30 years, with a progression of campers starting with a pop up camper, a Tioga C-Class and an older Tiffin Class A. The Sprinter Van is the perfect size for us with little restrictions due to the size of our unit. We spent months researching to find just the right fit for us. For the past few years, we have been hooked on following the adventures of RV You Tubers. We thought, "Hey, we can do that!" We quickly discovered it's not as easy as it looks! We are in the process of exploring cameras, editing software, etc. For now, we film with our iPhones and GoPro and edit with iMovie. We learn something new with every video. When not traveling, we are enjoying making videos of places close to home in the Florida Panhandle.
TOUR OF UPDATES AROUND ST. ANDREWS STATE PARK _ NOVEMBER 2024
There is a lot of construction going on in St. Andrews State Park in Panama City Beach, Florida! From the time you enter the front gate, signs of progress are evident throughout the park and campground. The lagoon area, which includes a boat ramp, fishing pier, picnic area playground and Heron Pond Trail, has been closed since early September for upgrades to include new pavilions, expanded parking areas and new sidewalks. Most of the projects are set for completion by March 2025. The roads will have no more potholes! One thing not mentioned in the video: The end of the Gulf pier is being repaired by March 2025! It's been closed for a long time!

Our first 3 Harvest Hosts stays have been both memorable and fun. I've decided my favorite locations by far include animals! Cows, chickens, llamas, dogs and any other four-legged friends make it fun! Here's info on the 3 locations in this video: Welcome Homestead in Baileyton, Alabama is a working farm that centers around Jersey milk cows. They also have chickens, dogs, cats, rabbits and horse...

Wow! We will be there in a few weeks and I can’t wait to see all the changes. Thank you!
Great news! Boat launch area is open according the Friends of St Andrews State Park Facebook page: *Park Update as of 11/17/24* “We've had LOTS of posts & inquiries about some things going on in the park, so after speaking with the park manager, I'm pleased to give you all some long-awaited updates! 1. The boat ramp, marina & trails are all officially back OPEN! Enjoy lots of new parking & upgrades to that area! 2. The Gulf Pier! The contract has been awarded to the company that will be doing the repairs. There is a pre-construction meeting planned for this coming week & repairs should be starting very soon. Aaron said that they will have more definitive dates to provide after that meeting. As always, thank you all for your patience & understanding, as the park staff navigates these new updates & changes along with you! Thank you for supporting the beautiful St. Andrew's State Park. ❤️ Further questions & comments are always welcome at the park office 850-708-6100. “
Awesome and thanks for sharing the tour of the park. Safe travels.
So glad you enjoyed it! We plan to post more videos as the updates progress. Safe travels to you also!
@@timetogo4533 You are welcome.
Thank you for posting this video, we live in Panama City and it's a much needed update for the park but had no idea that they were redoing the roads and such. I remember pre hurricane Michael and the campground had shade but now it's all concrete and asphalt (hot). The park overall is really nice.
The roads are going to be so nice! Excited to have a dedicated bike and walking path. It is one of our favorite parks for camping and day visits to the beach. We miss the shade in the campground for sure! Thanks for the comment!
Hello- We just purchased a Prism 2025 and were happy to find your video. It’s one of the only ones on you tube of an actual owner😊. We need to winterize and have some questions. If you’re available, would you please contact us.
Hi! Thank you for visiting our TH-cam channel. I'm afraid I will not be able to help with winterizing. We live in Florida and do not winterize. ou may find some useful information on the Coachmen Prism Facebook group. There are many owners there, and likely some who have asked the same question. You can search "winterizing" within the group and find posts and responses on the subject. You may also want to contact Coachmen tech support directly on the subject. They have been helpful to me in the past. Enjoy your Prism! We purchased ours at the beginning of 2021. We had a 40ft class A before downsizing to the Prism. Love the size of the Prism, as it can park, camp and fuel most anywhere. And, it is enjoyable and relatively stress-free to drive. Enjoy your adventures!
Great video, we really loved the area when we stayed there.
@@flatlandersrvtravels6056 It’s so nice there!
Quick question - we are looking into getting a 2025 Prism, and want to purchase the WeatherTech floor liners if we do. But when I check on their site, there’s a note that the center liner won’t fit the Sprinter RV chassis. Did you select the chassis option when you purchased them? Thank you!
@@TheRandomRovers Hello, yes, I selected “cab chassis” and “bucket seating.” My Prism is a 2021, and the chassis is a 2020. I checked the WeatherTech website and I see the note about the center mat not fitting, though mine fits fine. I don’t recall seeing that note when I ordered. But, could have been there. Maybe they would let you return it if it doesn’t fit? Mine fits fine and the mats have done of good job protecting from wet or muddy shoes.
@@timetogo4533thanks so much for the quick reply! Happy RV’ing.
Yes ,very nice ! I remember helping my grandmother as a kid at clipper grill by yellow cab co ,washing dishs ect back in the sixties❤
Best sunset ever right there! Colter Fawkin Bay
If you dont mind me asking, what Camera did yall use to the video recording? Thanks
Don’t mind at all! We used a GoPro and iPhone.
Leave the seashells alone! That’s the best part of going to the ocean
@@kendramoore819These seashells are the result of beach renourishment to restore the beaches from erosion. The pile of shells is part of the dredging operation in the Gulf of Mexico.
Awesome video! How long are the struts you used I think my cabinets are the same size
Thank you for the comment! The struts are 10 inch, 10lb Apexstone. I purchased them on Amazon. The struts have made a big difference and still going strong.
Much obliged
Any sea tortoise shell you have broken peace i want mam I am from India thanks mam
You can go early in the morning or late at night no one would know
Great video!
Thank you! Glad you enjoyed it!
Thanks for sharing !
Glad you enjoyed it!
Good job. We were there and this brought back found memories.
So glad you enjoyed it! Can't wait to get back out there for a longer visit. Really want to see moose next time! Thanks for watching!
Where did you take all the shells ? Can we look through them
The county took the shells. They wouldn’t let us look through them.
No skate park
Thank you so very much for this video! This is exactly what I want to do in my Class C motor home, and I wasn't sure if it was even possible. I'm going to do this!
Great! We actually made an adjustment by replacing the original Command Strips with Command Heavyweight Wall Hooks, which makes it more secure and easily removable. I’ll snap a picture today. We love having the TV there night. We could not get comfortable at the dinette to watch a program and even considered getting loungers, but this has been the perfect solution!
@@timetogo4533 Yes, please do add a picture. I had the idea that the hooks would probably work just as well if I could place a wire across the back of the TV and hang it like a picture on the wall. I could simply put the TV down on the bed when I'm underway. Do you have any thoughts about satellite TV for your rig? My chief concern is getting weather warnings when cell service is spotty, and there is no antenna TV reception to speak of in some of the parks I visit. For that reason, I stay in RV resorts most of the time when I travel, but those are getting pretty expensive! Also, do you have any good suggestions for storing your necessities while on a trip? The bathroom in my motor home is miniscule, and I'm a bit at a loss for ideas for storing the multitude of personal items I think I need when traveling. I've downsized from a 40-foot trailer to a 26 foot Class C, and it's been a challenge. Thanks for the update!
@@timetogo4533 do you have a picture with the tv using wall hooks?
@@kalonjisingleton I’ll post one tomorrow! I
@ I thought I could post pics here, but I see no option. If you want to send me an email, (timetogotravelusa@gmail.com), I’ll send you some pics.
Are dogs allowed on the beaches in Florida?
There is a designated dog beach by the pier at Pier Park. It’s about 12 miles west of the state park. I’ve seen dogs on the bayside of the state park, but I don’t know if they are actually allowed to be there.
www.pcbfl.gov/about-us/visitors/dogs
Awesome thanks for sharing. I’m heading there soon. 🔥🆙
Thanks 4 this video
💀
Glad you enjoyed it! We want to stay at Lake Guntersville sometime. We hear it’s beautiful.
Me and the wife were just in Huntsville a week ago and drove by this state park. We were camping at Lake Gunsterville State Park. We are also from Florida (central). Thanks for doing this video.
Modern people need to stop looking at natural things as a problem , and start looking at them as a renewable resourse . When the automobile started becoming more wide spred , they used crushed shells to pave roads with . Do it again ! Crush up the shells and mix them in with asphalt , and pave streets with it . Crush them up and mix them in with cement , instead of gravel , and build things . The Romans were doing that very thing . As everybody knows , a lot of Roman structures are still around .
Thanks for posting the video. We are planning a trip down there this winter, and your video really helped. Don’t sweat the prohibited sign. Like the previous say… electric driven isn’t the same as electric pedal assisted. That actually would be a violation of the Americans with disabilities act (ADA).
I know there’s a Junonia in there!
Renourishment project ????? They are stripping the area of all life and the food source for everything else. 🙄
As a Florida tax payer , looking at this campground makes me mad , that they dumped millions to turn a state park campground into a glorified RV park, where's the nature in this bulldozed nature preserve ?
It's sad that it is quite different than it used to be for sure, but Hurricane Michael took most of the pine trees in 2018. The back loops away from the water have a lot more trees.
Enjoyed the video also made a buddy Blaze a TH-cam star on site 92. We were there when filmed. .
thank you! informative and helpful.
I have a question. Law says you can’t take a living shell off the beach but yet they are killing all of them during construction?! Doesn’t seem right
I totally agree with you.
I totally agree with you.
Well I guess I have to disagree with all the raves. They destroyed this park with their updating. It use to be a lovely place to go camp. You were in nature. Now it is anything but a parking lot.
It is definitely a different place. Hurricane Michael totally destroyed the trees.
you installed them upside down, that's not the correct position for a gas strut
I installed as pictured in the strut information on amazon. The struts work fine as I installed. But it’s not problem to flip them. Do you know why most struts are installed with rod down? Appreciate your comment
@@timetogo4533 because when it's positioned upside down, the fluid will lubricate properly the mechanism. You can search for a full detailed explanation on youtube, there is a guy who explains in detail. Glad to help
Great! Thank you! I flipped them so the rod is down. I’ll be sure to add that info to the video or description
Why do they "own" them? Guess these are the ones you see in the stores?
What a cool location!
It is beautiful! My favorite beach!
This was a great video. I enjoyed it very much. Thank you for sharing!
Glad you enjoyed it! Grayton is a beautiful place!
Great video and very helpful. I just booked St Andrews for a few days in December and will be spending Christmas there. I was surprised I could get anything on such short notice. Come January 2024, Floridians will have the advantage of booking one month before the non-residents (understandable).
Glad it was helpful! Hope you have a wonderful visit! We have lucked out several times with last minute reservations due to cancellations!
Pretty sure the No electric bikers refers to bikes that are 100% electric and NOT the electric assist bikes. but would be a good idea to call
I've been to dozens of trail parks and Rails to Trails project and the all ban the use of fully electric bikes, but completely allow any electric assist bike. so as long as you must imput pedal power to get the electric assist, and as long as it is not above a certain wattage, there is usually not an issue. I'm planning a move to PBC soon and bringing my 81 year old dad who still cycles, but uses an electric assist bike. would be a shame if he couldnt ride there. hes been looking at the area trails for months now.
I agree that the electric assist bikes are acceptable. We have been back quite a few times and always use ours and see others with similar bikes. Happy Trails! Hope you enjoy PCB!
Very pretty; thank you! I really enjoyed seeing the beautiful pictures you inserted into this video!
Glad you enjoyed it!
What was your favorite part of the Tetons?
We were there for only a few days, so we didn't have time to explore beyond Colter Bay camp area. Loved that area for sure! Hope to go back sometime for a longer stay.
This looks like so much fun! Those sites are some of the best ones i've seen.
The sites were really nice! The fact that the stunning lakeside spot is so close to the campground in Colter Bay is amazing!
Thanks for doing this! It helps a lot. Our favorite park!
Glad you enjoyed it! It's one of our favorite park's too!
Fascinating and hope you do more like this!
So glad you enjoyed it!
Thanks for this walkthrough. We’re booking for next June and hoping for one of these waterfront sites.
Awesome! Hope you get a waterfront!
South Dakota is my favorite state. So many great things to see in SD. The Corn Palace is just one cool place!❤❤❤
We had a wonderful experience in South Dakota! From the Laura Ingalls Wilder sites in DeSmet to the Badlands and all the fun stuff in between! The Corn Palace was a fun surprise!
Great video! I went there with my parents & sisters when I was four, we were visiting my aunt & uncle. I remember looking at souvenirs! Hope they let Roxy in!
Roxy would have loved the smell of that popcorn! We didn't try to get her in, though they may have welcomed her! It was a fun stop,
Great review- thanks
