Oak Mountain State Park - Alabama's Largest State Park

Oak Mountain State Park, located in Pelham near Birmingham, offers 57 full hook-up sites, 27 sites with water and electricity, 60 primitive tent sites and 10 cabins. The fall leaves during our one night stay in November made the scenery especially beautiful around the lake and through the mountain trails. There are lots of things to do in the park, including guided horseback rides, marina rentals golfing, fishing, walking trails, BMX mountain trails and much more. They even offer night rides for bikers from September - May 1 on Tuesday and Thursday nights. For details on all the park has to offer, check out the park's website:

I heard they couldn’t even get to bottom of lake because it was so deep plus a lot people drown
