MEAHER STATE PARK

Meaher State Park, located along a scenic stretch of Mobile Bay, offers a beautiful shady campground, a boardwalk over the bay, fishing pier and gorgeous sunsets. This Alabama park is close to local favorite seafood restaurants, downtown Mobile and the Jubilee shopping area in Spanish Fort. The campsites are roomy and level and have full hookups. The park features 61 campsites and 4 cabins, all with water views. Construction is underway for more campsites. A wide variety of birds can be seen in the park, which is no surprise since the park is part of the Alabama Coastal Birding Trail. On our trip, we saw Herons, Snowy Egrets, Cardinals, Eastern Bluebirds and Osprey. We also spotted multiple gators in the bay!
