Hello friends (old and new) - My name is Christine and I love slow stitching and crafting. I look forward to sharing my creative projects with you to provide inspiration and ideas. I love hearing from you in my comments and adore being part of such a supportive online creative community.

Sharing this massive vintage fabric, linen, doily and fibre haul from Embroiderer’s Guild Destash Market.
I haven’t shared a #thriftythursday haul for a while so this should most definitely make up for it!
I hope you enjoy seeing all the wonderful finds including the incredible antique sampler that I purchased.
And so many gorgeous vintage linens and fabrics.
Lots of wonderful supplies for my slow stitching and fibre arts or fibre arts. #slowstitching #slowstitch
Plenty of goodies to use in my #roxysjournalofatitchery projects too!
Cheers,
Christine

Knew I should have gone. 😂 Great haul and congratulations on the subbies.
What just gorgeous fabrics, I would love to have a shop like that near me! I do hit my local thrift shops and can never pass by the fabric section! Great haul!❤ I find watching fabric videos very inspiring and relaxing!
What a fabulous haul. ❤
What a wonderful opportunity we don’t seem to have anywhere like this on the Goldie looking forward to all that you will create with these treasures much luv to you and yours 💕
I can see it would be hard to pass up these lovely things. I would have had a hard time keeping to my usual spending limit.
WOW this was a neat haul. I’m going to go thrifting now. Thanks for showing us.
Amazing haul Christine. Very envious! ❤
What a gorgeous finds. How big is your room to storage al things?🤭👍🧡💐
Wow Christine, what an amazing haul, yes, definitely fabric envy here - I’m sure you’ll have amazing fun using it all on your fabulous projects - all the best Sally 💚💚💚
Wow what a great haul Christine. We don’t have any of those type of great places for such bargains in QLD…
Had to come back. I love the boxed sets too, but I'm never able to take them apart and use them. They are so precious to me as reminders of a different time.
What a gorgeous collection, your giveaway are very generous and I love having been winner 🎉what amazed me you posted as a letter hip hip hooray ❤
Undefeated, Queen of Thrifting and Great Finds!!! Impressive treasures you found. Thanks for the inspiration, Christine. Hope one day soon, I’ll hop into a shop that has beautiful things! 🌸tess
Awesome collection.
That sampler is divine!! I'm sure it was waiting just for you; it knew it was going to a great new home. The Aida border pieces were used back in the 80s and 90s to make counted cross stitch bookmarks. It is really hard to find now in the states and quite expensive when you can get it. In fact, I just bought some and found that they sell it by the inch. Great score!
What a mega haul! 😲 A lovely variety of fabrics, yarn etc. Well done you!
What a lovely amount of goodies. I wish I lived down there to go to that destash. I wouldn't be able to resist them either. Lol
Beautiful haul, thanks for sharing, I’m sure you will make wonderful things with the fabrics and threads. Happy creating !!! 🧵🪡♥️
WOW 🤩 What absolutely beautifully, gorgeous selection of goodies you’ve got your self you lucky lady … TFS Christine look forwards to watching you use it for the next 20 years + oh boy I will be 88 if I’m lucky ☺️ xxx
Spectacular! TFS ❤
Yay 🎉 happy for you. Thanks for the video, it was nice to shop vicariously through you ❤❤❤
What a haul. You’re going to need a new room soon! Congrats on going over 6000!!!
The hanky was from uk. Salisbury plain is the home of ‘stone henge’ (ps it is pronounced as sorlsberry )
Lucky girl Christine!!! I had this destash written in my diary for 3rd August but forgot all about it. So disappointed. Oh well, I'm sure they'll have another one.
I jealous and I haven’t even watched you yet
What an amazing shopping spree💕. LOVE LOVE the beautiful sampler♥️♥️ - a treasure!! The herb garden piece also gorgeous (could the coloring be fading from the yarn with the washing🤷🏼♀️). Yummy fabrics and other goodies! Thank you for sharing🥰
Great haul. But plastic crinkling hurts my ears.
Lovely fabrics
I’m a wee bit jealous, but a big bit happy for you to find all the treasures. Truthfully😮, I have more fabric and embellishment amd notions to last me a lifetime. Yay for the opportunity to score so well.
Now that’s a lot of shopping.
Hahaha - I have trouble resisting when there are beautiful and useful things do such good prices! 😆 cheers, Christine

I never thought of needle felting. I just put mine away to start sewing. Thanks for the ideas.
So pleased to share some inspiration - have fun creating 🤗
You never fail to surprise, and whilst we don't all have your ideas and ingenuity, you create videos that inspire us. Wonderful piece!
Awww thanks Linda 💙🧵🪡
This is so lovely Christine, that frame! - I want to reach into the screen and feel all those textures 💚💚💚
Thanks so much Sally - it is such fun working on this! 💚🪡🐣
This is wonderful! I recently found my punch needle things from decades ago - even have a little battery operated gadget and the batteries were terribly corroded! I cleaned it up, put it away and there it sits! I made several Christmas ornaments when I first got it but !haven't been inspired again until I watched this I love what you are doing!!! I have had health problems for several years but am making my way through the sewing room again! This is so inspirational! Look at all of these exclamation points. LOL!
It makes me so happy to hear that this has provided inspiration for you Kat and I hope it brings you creative joy and healing 💙🧵🪡
I thought the nest would be brown or beige
It really is a wondrous nest that they make 💚
Everyone immediately knows what you mean when you say 'standy uppy'. So many words should be words but aren't (or are, depending on how you look at it). For instance, the word overwhelmed is actually redundant because there really is a word 'whelmed' but we never use it. Nonplussed, preventative, alot - they are made-up words but used so often in everyday language. But that's why we wouldn't understand a person who spoke 12th-century English. And I am unanimous in that (as Mrs. Slocombe would say)!
Chuckling away at the Are you being served reference - it’s funny now to look back on shows like that which were considered so risqué at the time. Language is a fascinating creature, consist shape shifting. Cheers, Christine
Beautiful ❤❤❤
Thank you dear Robin 💚
Oh wow I love your work. Very inspiring and clever. You are an amazing artist. Hugs
Awwwww thank you so much Ginny! And congrats on your win on Annie’s live! Cheers, Christine 💙🧵🪡
Using lace for the lichen was so clever. I am learning a lot of new techniques. Thanks ❤❤❤

I'm in love❤. Beautiful project👏👍💐
Thank you so very much Anita - this is a joy to work on 🤗
There are no words this is beautiful. Could you tell me if this yarn is available in the UK please
Hi Gail - do you mean the wool I sm felting with pr the cottons used for the thread painting, the wool is from a company called Wool Chambers - I’m not sure if they ship overseas. There’s a felting company in the UK called The Makerss that may have some things of interest. Cheers, Christine
Adorable!
Thanks Martha - I thought you’d enjoy the texture play 💚
