I have no words to describe how amazing those tulips are! The thread painted one is spectacular and the felting painted one is so near to the real flower! You are so creative and talented, Christine and your talent shows up also in finding wonderful doilies😅love them! TFS ❤
Hi Christine. What a nice video. Beautiful treasures. Love the feeling. I never did it. The sound of the needle gives a soothing feeling and it seems very relaxing to do. Thank you for this video👍🧡👏💐
Thank you Anita - felting is definitely very relaxing and the thrill of finding gorgeous vintage linens too. They came out of the wash looking wonderful 💙🧵🪡
Beautiful work Christine, lots of inspirational ideas . Great idea with felting the flower fabric looks lovely. What a fantastic haul and such a bargain.Good job ❤
Thank you Joanne - I’m happy I followed through with the felting idea as it ended up working so well for the tulip. Even more glossy with a quick iron at the end 🤗
Thank you Christine for your video and company today. Those tulips are amazing they are jumping off the screen, look 3D and what a lovely rich colour. I know my great aunt (RSN trained) used to inspect my needlework and was very clear on the non touching of work. She used to tell me that I was just like my mum always stroking the work, no discipline😂 At the age of 10 it took all my concentration just to get the stitch right. Lovely haul, what stories those antimicassers could tell. All the heads over the years.
So happy to have kept you company and isn’t it amazing how the traditions evolve and we all now delight in creating tactile pieces and many of us also love looking at the “messy backsides” of our work as my friend Annie calls them 😆 cheers, Christine 💙🧵🪡
Gosh Christine that is absolutely fabulous!!! Realllly gorgeous. ❤❤❤ Love everything about BOTH pieces and the writing is fantastic. My gosh im totally speechless on all the stunning work and creativr ideas youve done. Genius!! ❤❤❤ Been catching up on all your videos and with each one you can probably hear all my oooo's and wow's all the way from Adrlaide. Hahaha. 😂😂
Enjoying watching your video on a lazy Sunday morning. Your work is so lovely and inspiring. I do want to try felting and ordered some tools based on your recommendation. Postage was a bit high to US but I like to support small businesses so am happy to purchase from them. Your vintage doilie haul is amazing. I never come across good deals and usually end up paying top dollar for them.
Thank you Mona - sorry to hear the postage was expensive but I’m sure you will find the felting tools wonderful to work with. I look forward to seeing what you create 🤗
Hi Christine, watching you on Sunday morning. That felting is so beautiful! I would love to learn how to do it. Would love to learn how to make some little animals, ie little rabbits. Love your work! 🥰
Hi Gail - do you mean the wool I sm felting with pr the cottons used for the thread painting, the wool is from a company called Wool Chambers - I’m not sure if they ship overseas. There’s a felting company in the UK called The Makerss that may have some things of interest. Cheers, Christine
Hi Lynette - the fibre and wool company is called Wool Chambers: woolchambers.com.au I’m not affiliated with them in any way but I loved that I could buy small/affordable quantities to try out (which even when are small quantities are plenty for my felting needs). Cheers, Christine
Beautiful, your page’s are amazing. Thank you for sharing.🪡🧵♥️

The petals are beautiful both the thread painting and the felted wool, which was obviously meant to be the petals on that piece.
Thanks Martha - really enjoying branching out in my textile and fibre play 🤗

@@createandcraftwithchristine thank you.
Can you wash a felting pice. I was thinking of put it on a jscket
Hi Beth - I don’t think felting would stand up well to washing or would potentially end up more matter looking.
