Hey man nice to see your tutorial again! I feel like it's been ages since I saw your last . Got a bit of a problem and I was hoping you could help me out. Of course only if you have spare time. How do I go about making an explosion (just a small explosion like the Mk2 AP mine from RHS) that is repeatable (or replayable not sure what the term is) but the players won't take a damage? This is just for a training scenario so I don't want the players to take damage from the explosion and I thought it would be good for immersion. I'm still a newbie on this stuff so any help or suggestion would be greatly appreciated. Cheers!
Hi mate. To make an explosion you need to attach that explosion to an object, usually a mine or other ordnance. I'm not sure there is a way to ensure that no damage is done to your team though, and the object will also be destroyed. I'll look into it for you.
@@OnlineCombatBN Thank you! Currently what I have is AP mine, and 2 triggers. One trigger for- allowDamage false (so the players wont get damage when the mine blows). The other trigger is for the mine ( when players run past this trigger the mine will blow). That's it. What I was looking for is for the mine to respawn again on the same position/location in the event the players decided to go for a second run.

What if a squad member dies? will the heli take off anyway? I've been running tests and doesn't seem so, any ideas?
If a variable is missing it won't take off. Better to just have one player with the required variable.
Hello mate, I've just uploaded my mission "Nuclear Agent" to the workshop, I use your videos for when I get stuck on something, but one thing I could use a bit of help with is optimising a mission, like binarizing the mission file before releasing it, I use show/hide alot but I wondered if there is anything more that can be done. Also, I know there’s a way to get a respawn to appear on an objective once it’s captured, but idk how. There’s probably already a tutorial out there for it but I like your videos lol so like, say I’ve got a PvP game going on of sector control, I’d like a respawn and arsenal to become available on that objective for whichever team controls it. And if there’s a way ti lock the teams out of each other’s arsenals
One thing I’ve noticed, is that if you create different tabs in the side bar to the left to organize all the things, if you have things synced to a module, and you put the things into a separate folder than the module, it won’t work properly in game

Hi, thanks to all the great tutorials! They helped me a lot! I´m working on a Coop-Mission atm, and i want to have a Mobile FOB with respawn for players. But I also want the FOB to spawn after destroyed near the players. So I created another vehicle respawn point next to the the first task. And chose in "Position selection" the point "Newest", and in the first at the beginning "Oldest". But that doesn´t work. Can you make a video about that plz? Hey hey I hope you're still active but I was wondering how do you make the Radio Trigger only activatable within the trigger radius? I tried call{s1 in thisList ;} but thats not working
That's not how radio triggers work. They are designed to be manually activated. If you need a trigger that activates based on radius, use a normal trigger.

Do you know if it's possible to sync the ability to call in the ammo drop to a trigger? For example, if I wanted players to eliminate AA positions before they could call it in can I sync it to a "OPFOR not present" area trigger to then make it available?

Ok M8... Ive only recently been doing Arma 3 Missions... I use the "Faster" software to run my dedicated server.... For some reason I can only use 6 Mods - If I use any more I get the same error message for Multiplayer - It says all slots are taken on startup and yet no one is online... Server is there etc.... Just no player slots, it always says 0/0... Remove a mod - any mod and then 0/30 etc.... Any idea whats going on here ???? Im about to start Arma Reforger so maybe this doesnt happen in that, however that editor looks like a freeking nightmare to understand...
I've never used the Faster software. That error sounds like a 'feature' more than a bug. Try contacting the software dev for the program. And yea, the editor for Reforger is an absolute mess, so much so, I haven't bothered with it at all. Unless they fix that the game won't last as long as Arma 3 has.

So i tried this for a c-47 paradrop mission. The ai's do talk but cannot hear them inside the cabin. Too bad. Thanks for the tutorial.
So turns out the AI's need a radio in order for them to speak out those Audio files. It took me a day but I solved it.
Hey i can see its been awhile since you posted this vid but im hoping you can help! In my arma 3 mission, I am using the EOS script. When I go upstairs in a building, the EOS zone is deactivates and despawns the enemies, but when i go back downstairs, it comes back on, any idea what could be causing this? My mission is on CUP's takistan if it helps
In the script you can adjust the activation height. I'll have to check this soon and let you know where to edit it.

Haha, I managed to integrate S vest script with COS with the help of that ChatGBT and an old template i found online to go off, was made up with myself 😂

I'm finding that if I place the paratroopers into the aircraft on the ground, when they eventually land on their parachutes, they always without exception try to walk/fight their way back to the airfield they took off from. That's frustrating.
Hello mate, I make missions for me and my brother to play, When he dies and respawns, if we have the same weapon, I lose my gun the second he respawns. Just the primary nothing else. , I have this in onPlayerRespawn; P1 setVariable ["Saved_Loadout",getUnitLoadout P1]; P2 setVariable ["Saved_Loadout",getUnitLoadout P2]; and this: onPlayerKilled: P1 setVariable ["Saved_Loadout",getUnitLoadout P1]; P2 setVariable ["Saved_Loadout",getUnitLoadout P2]; - I'm just not sure where I'm going wrong, any help would be appreciated. Great tutorial as a template to build more on, covering the base fundamentals - it's much easier to get more advanced, once you know this stuff so thank you - 30 minutes well spent, I just copied your mission and tested it, then started to edit for my own tailored version - thanks man
Can this be done with an AI units advancing into the trigger? How would the WP`s work? So lets say, two infantry sections are moving in stops and starts as they would if they were performing tactical bounding? I can`t quite get it to work. (As usual).

Awesome video, some of my guys are dying when they hit the ground, the script only works with one plain?
Should work with all planes, just make sure the variable name of the plane matches the one in the script, and don't edit anything else.

Thank you - I have watched a LOT of the ShackTac videos over the last year and enjoy them - but always wondered HOW such missions were created, and seemingly in the midst of a mission, "edited".
Consider a convoy of vehicles, how can you ensure a squad of troops get into the correct vehicle? I find they keep getting into the wrong vehicle that doesn't have enough space, and leaving squad members behind as the convoy moves off
