Yea, i got the same call a Little while ago. Leaking Water pipe in ceiling , not a/c. Right under where the a/c unit was on the roof But it ended up being the overhead water pipes to a Hand sink.

Wow, i've Got the 557's too. Just not these new style. Mine are about 5 yrs old. i Like mine. no Major problems. i noticed lately the end brass fittings on each end have started to turn , i heard some one else having same problem ( My old style 557's too ) Maybe why they re-designed. Those New ones Look Very Cool ! 😎 Just Don't use in the rain ☔️ . i was checking ip ratings and Testo is not rated for rain. the Fieldpiece are rated 2 times higher for rain ☔️. unless they have changed recently. Those Testos Do Look like the Best Manifold out there Right now though ! Enjoy !!! Edit - I Just subbed Sean's channel. Great Video ! He Really set you up with some incredible stuff. Self contained 2 door freezer Re-Builds - Take A LOt of time & Have to be done 110% Correctly. otherwise they WILL bite u in the but / be a Headache. if it's over 10 years old replace condenser fan motors & Suction pressure regulator. Suction pressure regulators leak by the adjustable screw. 10 years on motors is it. toss em. a tip for you - Use 55% Silver & Flux when welding in compressors. it will look alot nicer , lower temperature. Compressors are steel. You are basically welding steel to copper. treat the welding as such. if u want to continue using 15% on your compressor installs , dip your 15% Rod in " Stay silv White Brazing Flux " it will help u alot. Your Welds were dirty. That's why it looks like they did not go so well. Clean up the outside of the compressor joint. clean the inside with a clean rag or paper towel to remove any oil. Clean copper is Very important on hot gas welds & suction on hermetics. Clean the outside of the joint when the plug is still in it with a little sand cloth. Compressors & driers should be welded in with 45 or 55% silver rod c & Flux or a Orange 🍊 rod 55% pre Fluxed rod. a Good Looking Weld is A Good Sealing weld = no Pinholes. If a weld looks Shitty You can Cover it in White brazing Flux , Re-Heat it / Get it Real hot & the flux will do the rest. it will let the good stuff flow in & Float out the dirt. i'll do some Videos.

I have on loads of manitowoc with hpco issue. I have clean the condenser, ensure the fan is running freely and still the machine goes into hpco. I believe this is a manitowoc fault that has been correct in the ntx model. However i have on occasion unplug the machine after clearing the error log and the machine return to normal working. Sometime you turn on the machine and it goes straight into hpco. Another solution is to remove the side panel to allow better cooling. I currently maintain about 60 machine

Excellent finds, dropping the T-stat down the return is more common than one might think, leave a dummy stat for the BOH folks. Those supply ducts are terrible and its not unusual for me to find them shut. I always check the return vents too, oftentimes they'll look okay at a glance but if snap a pic of it zoomed in, they're always plugged up.

I would just put a wireless sensor. And Done. Those Honeywell vision pro 8000's thermostats. You can wire an remote indoor temperature sensor, or use the wireless indoor sensor, and program it with the Red Link wireless accessory option. Then you can leave the thermostat in the current location. And put the indoor sensor where ever you want. Most of the time, the thermostats are located in an office. And the sensors are in the space needing sensing. Or you can move the entire thermostat... good luck 👍

Joe another way to test schrader is put a cap on it with a hole in the cap then use leak detector to check at the hole in the cap if you get a hit then use bubbles to verify on the cap when putting bubbles in the end of the service port you take a chance of contaminating the refrigeration system when you attach you gauges. Just a tech tip from a nobody to a super tech.
