I do all our ice machines with that exact lift. It helps, but it sucks!! I'm the only tech now, so I have to come up with some crazy things to install anything on the hot or cold side. I definitely understand what it takes to do a job. Great video bro.
Good job on disco on roof. I hate doing roof pms and having to go down and shut off ice machine to clean condenser. Im surprised anyone still buying hoshis. Chains I work for are not. Manis and ice o matics now. Troubleshooting easier since freeze cycle so much shorter than hoshi.

The building has a softener and filters on the water system. As far as the T goes, the water reservoir has its own drain line (the small plastic tube). I run that down into a T on the shared line to provide a suction vent and place flush
