Good Carma " For you ! Good stuff Man !!!
Seen any XLT equipment? They're made in Wichita, KS by Wolfe Electric, a former Lincoln dealer which started developing its own conveyor ovens almost a decade ago. I personally have yet to see any of their equipment used locally.
It was a “greedy restaurant owner” that didn’t sell the 5k piece of equipment he had, he gave it away.. Don’t let other peoples action effect your own. If you do right and get done wrong, you still did right. 👍🏼 Not picking on you. I get it.
Did you say 145 degree on a burger is done? Where I'm at, 165 on any ground meat, poultry. Fish 145, Steak cooked to desired. And I don't see any greediness going on here. One owner bought the used chain grill. You got paid to look at it. The other owner gave you a grill for free. You gave it to the other owner, and got paid to install it. No owner greediness here. You got paid for both... Maybe a little service greed... I got a grill, you want it? PAY me to install it... he he he LOL!
You are correct it was 165 temp out and 140 holding. When we set it for 42 on the dial we got 165 with slightly burnt edges so they’re gonna play with it. Couldn’t remember so I asked the owner. Told you I dot edit stuff out. 😂. Good catch. I’ll tell you that 148 burger was more my speed. Straight Medium 😋
Nah ... He's A Decent Guy ... Not a Fool ! He Wants to get paid for his time ! as he should ! He is skilled & Should be paid for his time ! He could have easily sold that thing to some one & Made some real cash ! But it would take alot of work , hauling, storage fees etc. a Little kindness "sometimes" can & Does Pay off Big time. i been in the trade 40+ Years. You would be surprised how you get referrals some times & Can End up making a Crap load of money from a New Client that Learned of a a little Good deed you did that helped someone out after they made a bad buy on a used piece of equipment.

Service greed would have been “250 dollars to haul that thing away for you” “2750 and this beauty is yours”.
3k plus install time 💰.
