First of all, refollowing you again….thanks for being back. I have lots of money on making Snello in the past, Repashy etc and it always came out like crap. Huge waste of time, money, and energy…. Got some agar at H-Mart, and spiraliana at the health food store. This is FANTASTIC. Hardest part was putting it into molds evenly because it was so hot. Left on the counter overnight. Popped right out. 2 thoughts ideas to play with…. 1) have you ever dehydrated it? If so tell us how, I’m going to leave some out and just see if it dries well. 2)I had a small amount that was put directly into a mold with a paper towel on top to soak up moisture. ( It was left over scrapping that didn’t get heated). Anyway 12 hours later not hard, but drier. I placed the mold directly in the microwave for a couple of minutes. After cooling it too popped out of mold. It was significantly lighter than the rest, it’s floating in top of the tank…and being eaten. Next time I might put in molds directly then heat them…snail hugging….😊.

I am so sorry you went through this. I cried watching this video. Tragedies happen to the best of us. Did you consider euthanizing your babies to prevent them from dying by leech? May your heart heal from this tragedy Lav. Blessings

convinced this is magic. had two mystery snails (both about a year old) in my tank who were being unusually inactive, one passed the other day and the other was exhibiting similar symptoms today. decided to try an air bath and, lo and behold, the second i put him back in he's crawling around happily! hopefully this has saved him, i was amazed :) thank you

I would like to thank you for the videos. 15 days ago I found a clutch of eggs from my 2 mystery snails followed by a second the next day. I watched and learned and today the first clutch hatched and I have 118 babies in a nursery box. Thanks to your video's I was successful on the first try

This was a great video. I also have hydra in my mystery snail breeding tank. I worried until i saw my snails just plow right through them. This morning, however, i found planaria in the breeding tank and was hoping you'd have some advice on how to rid the tank of planaria without harming the snails.

Hi, I am moving across the country and would love to be able to take my snails. The trip will likely be about 4-5 days with stops along the way but do you have any advice how to pack them up? I’m worried if I put them in a smaller cup they might be too crammed or crack their shells. Any advice would be appreciated! Love your videos❤

I feel for you, I was given some Mystery snail and they came with one leech loose in the bag and two snails had a leech on the shells, I plucked them off and kept the snails in a 30litre tank for about a month or so before putting them in with some fish, I did loose one snail in that time but the other 7 are growing well.

The dream is dead..... Its over for Lavinia and the snails.... 5 months and no video... Looks like she never recovered from the leeches.

My snail started moving again after a couple days of hiding in my hollow log I have in my aquarium , found your video and after the 1st time of giving him a air bath the guy started to move around the tank , really underrated video thank you so much 👍

Thanks so much, I also find the suction cup container that hold scrubbers and or other items like soaps you want to drain off into the sink make excellent plant holders for the tops of tanks .

My favorite snail (a big old man like yours😂) was in his shell for days and I was so scared he was going to pass but I tried the air bath to see if that helped and he’s back to his old self!! This info was so incredibly helpful thank you!

snails can move over sharp objects and not get hurt because of the mucus they secret protecting their foot rocks wood and some crystals are completely fine in snails tanks

We have very hard water here so i didn't think this will be an issue, plus i use calcium in the Snello. But this is very good data to have

I watched my mystery snails climb to the top of the water, gather small duckweed and completely eat all the duckweed they can gather then within days tracked down all the duckweed and ate all of it

I have recently gone through the same problem. I was only starting my mystery snail journey, and lost so many from these arseholes. I removed a dozen snails from the infected tank. After a week, I was left with 5 surviving snails that I don't know how the escaped without loosing their lives. They are still alive after 3 weeks, so I feel they are safe. But the infected tank has not yet been broken down to clean thoroughly yet, until I need to move it. So no snails are going into that tank at all.

I don't know if this will help anyone else, but what I noticed was which was the same with me, It doesn't work with the plastic tube attachment. It doesn't suck up water with it. When you remove it, it will remove water but the pressure isn't that fast. If you only wanted to do a no mess water change this will work but if you want to vacuum the sand this won't work

I was horrified when I dropped my pet snail who had climbed to the lid of the enclosure. I thought that she was holding on up there but she wasn’t! It cracked a long crack on her shell and I saw a video which said to euthanize her! Well after that i read you can just patch them up with glue and egg shells but she didn’t need an egg. She’s a garden variety pest snail but I’m so happy with “her” but yeah who really knows. Her name is Unicorn.

Ohhhh noooo I think my angel fish ate both my mystery snails tentacles because I just do not see them anymore, but they are SUPER happy!

Today i gave my mystery snail an air bath while I was giving the tank a heavy vacuuming, just because I didn't want the vacuum to accidentally hurt her Antanas (I'm clumsy like that). When I was poking her to get her attention to encourage her to let go of the wall to pick her up safely, her reaction was not what I expected... after one quick little startle because she was asleep at the time, she reached her antanas towards the disturbance to see what it is, abs then decided to try to reach for my hand...I guess I smelled tasty Partly since it was her first air bath I decided to put an algae wafer in the nest for her to hopefully make it less stressful, and she pretty much immediately went to claim it. I was thinking when I put her back in the tank I would drop it on for her, but no need... when I picked her up to move her, she picked up the wafer and carried it all the way in to her perch on the artificial rock shoal at the bottom. Anyway not sure if your supposed to offer them treats or if the tank or not so that's basically what I'm wanting to know, but if nothing else the whole thing was really cute.

My adult mystery snails passed away on me awhile ago now! But God gifted me A tank with gravel with baby mystery snails in it! I found 4 of them in there! They are growing beautifully! I couldn't be happier with them!

Found some of these in my aquarium in South Australia after buying some plants, one I found the next day the next one I found many months after both captured now separated and I keep them in small aquarium I find them cool they already have some eggs

Hi Lav, my very first clutch of baby snails was just hatched. It was not easy to break it up so I was really worried that I did it too soon. But a bunch of them are climbing the walls of the breeder box. I am soooo excited. I have 4 more clutches that should be ready from now to 2 weeks from now. Thank you so much for all of your advice!! It is a tremendous help and makes me feel more prepared for something I didn't think would happen.

Everything I read says baby snails are kept under the shell of the mother why are these out?
