Today i gave my mystery snail an air bath while I was giving the tank a heavy vacuuming, just because I didn't want the vacuum to accidentally hurt her Antanas (I'm clumsy like that). When I was poking her to get her attention to encourage her to let go of the wall to pick her up safely, her reaction was not what I expected... after one quick little startle because she was asleep at the time, she reached her antanas towards the disturbance to see what it is, abs then decided to try to reach for my hand...I guess I smelled tasty Partly since it was her first air bath I decided to put an algae wafer in the nest for her to hopefully make it less stressful, and she pretty much immediately went to claim it. I was thinking when I put her back in the tank I would drop it on for her, but no need... when I picked her up to move her, she picked up the wafer and carried it all the way in to her perch on the artificial rock shoal at the bottom. Anyway not sure if your supposed to offer them treats or if the tank or not so that's basically what I'm wanting to know, but if nothing else the whole thing was really cute.

My adult mystery snails passed away on me awhile ago now! But God gifted me A tank with gravel with baby mystery snails in it! I found 4 of them in there! They are growing beautifully! I couldn't be happier with them!

Found some of these in my aquarium in South Australia after buying some plants, one I found the next day the next one I found many months after both captured now separated and I keep them in small aquarium I find them cool they already have some eggs

Hi Lav, my very first clutch of baby snails was just hatched. It was not easy to break it up so I was really worried that I did it too soon. But a bunch of them are climbing the walls of the breeder box. I am soooo excited. I have 4 more clutches that should be ready from now to 2 weeks from now. Thank you so much for all of your advice!! It is a tremendous help and makes me feel more prepared for something I didn't think would happen.

My friend saved an aquarium from a yard sale that was going to be thrown out. Glad he did. When he set up the aquarium for his Betta fish there was a baby mystery snail that popped up in the aquarium. He gave it to me. I now have it in a little 4 gallon tank today so I can keep an eye on it for it's food and growth

How do you clean the breeder box?

I wonder if it kills any parasites they may have being out of the water?

Hi, I recently got a blue mystery snail and want to really gove this a good go, I have had random snails in the past that accidentally found their way into my tank on plants and also had some in a goldfish tank years ago but this time I want to properly take care of "Lapis" (blue mysteries name).. I find wonder shell quite difficult to get where I live.. Will cuttlebone shell work as an alternative?

I use a mix of small pebbles 15 pound bag and Aragonite sand 15 pound bag and my ph stays perfect. People having issues always comes down to the water quality. It doesn't matter what aquatic animals you have YOU NEED TO DO WATER CHANGE AND KEEP UP THE FILTER. I personally take out my snails and put them in a "Feeding Tank " 1 time a week for an all you can eat buffet. Biscuits me a chance to not only inspect them it also gives me a chance to really put protein and calcium into every single one of them and not just throw the stuff in the tank and the bigger ones pushed the little ones out of the way and eat all the good stuff first. Since I started doing this my snails are beautiful and so big.

Hi..... we are from the UK. My 9yr old daughter is obsessed with snails. Land and water. So we have got her a tank with bladder,trumpet and mystery. We are trying to figure what they eat. I have tried cucumber, lettise and pellets but they don't seem interested. With the food you mentioned bell pepper, Cauliflower do I have to cook these first?.

Will the original snail shell under the egg shell heal and grow back if it was an injury and not merely erosion?

Thank you for your video. My mystery snail named Mosely died today. He put up a good fight. He hung on for a full month after his opperculum fell off. I put him in a hospital tank by himself. His opperculum began to grow back but then sadly his shell cracked at his opening, but he seemed so strong i really thought he would survive that also. I felt like i was really going to have a great true story to share with fellow mystery snail lovers about this brave and strong little guy holding on. I made him a little "island" next to shallow water which i changed twice a day from the clean cycled tank he originally lived in. The water level was enough for him to immerse himself or climb on to his island if he choose. He would climb on to the island and climb back into the water periodically at his own will. i would put a blood worm, or crab pellet or daphnia next to him so he wouldnt have to search for food. I believed he was honestly going to survive and even thrive, and then I would put him back in his original tank, but i found him gone today. my heart broke for him and i do mourn his loss. Snails are cool and i love watching them in my tanks. I had a nerite snail who passed and i saved his shell, and plan to save mosley's also.

Thank you! i found your video searching for info to help my mystery snail. His trap fell off and i thought he was dead but instead of throwing him out i moved him to a bowl by himself. For 2 weeks i saw no movement yet he was not decomposing so i suspected he was alive but ill. Today to my shock he was stuck to the glass on the side of the bowl and I was so happy to see that, but he is obviously not well as he has not and still is not acting normal. I am going to try your airbath idea and will post an update. Thank you for posting your video. i also wondered if there was a known aquatic med for a sick snail so your video answered that as well.
