Hi, just want to ask you a quick question. I appreciate all your videos. Truly helpful. my mystery snail tank, everything's good except for the KH is at 5. Would you recommend the limestone rock ,crushed Coral or the baking soda? I also have a bag of crushed Coral buried under the substrate and I'm not sure if that's enough. Guppies are good if you don't have too many. Once my guppy population got bigger, they would nip at the mystery snails for fun it seemed. The snails remained closed all day to avoid the non-stop nipping. Once I kept finding my male mystery snail upside down every morning for three days, I realized they were too stressed. Once I moved them into their own tank they came out of their shells and are moving around again. 😁 Guppies are peaceful, but they can be brats. lol

I absolutely love your videos. By far the best ones on youtube. As a grandma I can tell you you're absolutely beautiful both inside and out and you do a wonderful job

My snail had not moved for weeks, then I tried this. He is not completely well but he is moving around a little bit now. Definitely a big and hopeful improvement. Thank you!

Can you put to much calcium?

Oh my dear, you are amazing. I got interested in snails this morning the information out there was so boring the others treat them just like an ornament just throw them in the aquarium and forget about them but you bring them to life thank you so very much I am excited and I love your videos❤

I always tie a lava rock to the root ball before I plant them in the tank. My Pleco likes to dig up everything. So it’s probably going to help with the snails too lol.

My mystery snail won’t eat the snello I made for her. She’s eaten fish pellets and a bit of spinach but most of the time whatever I leave is untouched until I have to vacuum it out. I’ve checked my water parameters and the water is hard, between 73 and 75 degrees, no nitrites or ammonia, nitrate between .05 and .08 between changes (weekly) and the only other food that goes into the tank is fry food for small neons. I’m worried about her because she used to zoom around the tank but now just kinda hangs out at the water line

I just git a new snail yesterday (I don't know it's age) and it won't sink. I've seem it try to stick itno things but it couldn't and I decided to try this, hope it works!

This really works! We ordered a few mystery snails online and one of the three refused to come out of its shell. Days went by and we thought it was going to die. Then we saw this video and I did the air bath. It still was in the shell with the door closed, but I figured it was getting air anyhow. Then I put it back in the tank and miraculously the next morning (this was the late evening when I did this) it was moving around the tank! A miracle. So definitely worked for us.

First of all, refollowing you again….thanks for being back. I have lots of money on making Snello in the past, Repashy etc and it always came out like crap. Huge waste of time, money, and energy…. Got some agar at H-Mart, and spiraliana at the health food store. This is FANTASTIC. Hardest part was putting it into molds evenly because it was so hot. Left on the counter overnight. Popped right out. 2 thoughts ideas to play with…. 1) have you ever dehydrated it? If so tell us how, I’m going to leave some out and just see if it dries well. 2)I had a small amount that was put directly into a mold with a paper towel on top to soak up moisture. ( It was left over scrapping that didn’t get heated). Anyway 12 hours later not hard, but drier. I placed the mold directly in the microwave for a couple of minutes. After cooling it too popped out of mold. It was significantly lighter than the rest, it’s floating in top of the tank…and being eaten. Next time I might put in molds directly then heat them…snail hugging….😊.

I am so sorry you went through this. I cried watching this video. Tragedies happen to the best of us. Did you consider euthanizing your babies to prevent them from dying by leech? May your heart heal from this tragedy Lav. Blessings

convinced this is magic. had two mystery snails (both about a year old) in my tank who were being unusually inactive, one passed the other day and the other was exhibiting similar symptoms today. decided to try an air bath and, lo and behold, the second i put him back in he's crawling around happily! hopefully this has saved him, i was amazed :) thank you

I would like to thank you for the videos. 15 days ago I found a clutch of eggs from my 2 mystery snails followed by a second the next day. I watched and learned and today the first clutch hatched and I have 118 babies in a nursery box. Thanks to your video's I was successful on the first try

This was a great video. I also have hydra in my mystery snail breeding tank. I worried until i saw my snails just plow right through them. This morning, however, i found planaria in the breeding tank and was hoping you'd have some advice on how to rid the tank of planaria without harming the snails.

Hi, I am moving across the country and would love to be able to take my snails. The trip will likely be about 4-5 days with stops along the way but do you have any advice how to pack them up? I’m worried if I put them in a smaller cup they might be too crammed or crack their shells. Any advice would be appreciated! Love your videos❤

Do you get the calcium carbonate on Amazon too? Any special brand? And I'm happy you're recovering from the leech crisis!

I feel for you, I was given some Mystery snail and they came with one leech loose in the bag and two snails had a leech on the shells, I plucked them off and kept the snails in a 30litre tank for about a month or so before putting them in with some fish, I did loose one snail in that time but the other 7 are growing well.

The dream is dead..... Its over for Lavinia and the snails.... 5 months and no video... Looks like she never recovered from the leeches.

My snail started moving again after a couple days of hiding in my hollow log I have in my aquarium , found your video and after the 1st time of giving him a air bath the guy started to move around the tank , really underrated video thank you so much 👍

Thanks so much, I also find the suction cup container that hold scrubbers and or other items like soaps you want to drain off into the sink make excellent plant holders for the tops of tanks .

My favorite snail (a big old man like yours😂) was in his shell for days and I was so scared he was going to pass but I tried the air bath to see if that helped and he’s back to his old self!! This info was so incredibly helpful thank you!

snails can move over sharp objects and not get hurt because of the mucus they secret protecting their foot rocks wood and some crystals are completely fine in snails tanks

We have very hard water here so i didn't think this will be an issue, plus i use calcium in the Snello. But this is very good data to have
