During the rebuild, you didn't appear to disassemble the tip of the IPR (the area that has the spring in it). On the earlier models (94.5-95.5), isn't it especially important to take apart and clean because there's supposed to be a "filter" in there? Also, if you have a recommendation for a different OBDII interface, I would appreciate knowing what you think. The one referenced in the video is not currently available.

Hey Clint If you were to buy a new harness where would you buy it from? Pro source diesel is the only site I've found that sells motorcraft OEM for $629.99 with the starter solenoid and glow plug switch. You know of a better deal? Or should i just go with pro source diesel? Also a 1 year warranty. Please help. Thank you.

hey boss my truck has no codes buzz test passes but cylinder 6 is dead and when i plug it in white smoke swapped with new reman still runs rough and white smoke then i swapped with #2 and still up crap creek without a paddle i had a short in the harness from that bare wire that wraps around them looks like a shield wire or some kind of warmer wire, butt connected that all up but still smokin could the idm be bad without a code

Great informative video. Well spoken and received. We have a 2001 F350 four-wheel-drive 7.3 used for towing RVs and race trucks. We put some Evans NPG Waterless Coolant (Lifetime guarantee) in it in 2009, it worked great for a few years and then we stopped using the truck regularly only starting it up occasionally, and short runs. Recently, we decided to pull the leaking radiator and found all the bottom part of the engine, especially hoses and the bottom few inches of the radiator were full of a clay like, looking and feeling material. We contacted Evans Coolant in Pennsylvania and sent a sample of the clay like material including our aftermarket coolant filter, which was full of the same material. Evans spokesperson made a hard to believe claim saying that the 7.3’s had a history of sand casting failure, polluting the coolant and supposedly causing the clay like problem. We were expecting not to have problems with cast-iron rusting, releasing sand in the cooling passages using a coolant that had no water in it. It was a time-consuming installation procedure having to completely remove every drop of coolant containing water before we installed the Evans and PG stuff. Wondering if anyone else has had a similar problem or could offer an opinion or solution as to what we can do and maybe help other people in their choices of Coolant. We installed the Evans Coolant at about 115,000 miles and the 2001 F350 7.3 now has 165,000 miles. Love your videos

My trucks only starting occasionally when it’s warmer, was starting and driving just fine. Now it’s colder (30-40s) she doesn’t wanna crank, could it be my CAM sensor?

I just changed my IPR valve valve and it was definitely tough trying to get it started I got it started but it's still when you go to start it it kind of it goes into like a limp mode for 15/22 maybe a minute and then it kicks in and then runs great but when I'm going down the road once I get on the freeway I go to get hit it The engine light comes on and I was wondering do I need to fill the high-pressure reserve back up with oil or what what why was it such a hard time getting it started that's my question and what do I need to do is there a procedure that you do after you get put the new IPR in

Hi sir, I am diagnosing a 2003 f250 with 7.3 l Crank no start. Firts issue the scanner won't scan the truck. The obd port has power and ground. All the fueses are good, the fuel pump working, have oil up to the level, pcm is online. I noticed the rpm is not moving while i crank, is it possible it can be the cps

Just replaced my interstate batteries six year warranty I got exactly 6 years. And the one battery was reading 9 V (All kinds of issues with it running.) Replaced with odyssey batteries. Runs a lot better . Thanks

im about two steps away from checking the IDM . i have two 2002 7.3 f550s that stopped running and ive replaced all kinds of (OEM) parts. they are driving me crazy . been watching all you videos trying to fix them .thanks for the info

E99 233k I've been having an issue where my truck almost dies or does die when I'm at a light or start going. It doesnt always do this. It can drive just fine most of the time. Seems like it happens in the rain. Fusebox seems dry no water on carpet or behind fusebox. I have changed my cps sensor. I've now been lost in the forums from wiper geound to pop to icp. It started wanting to clunk out while getting on the onramp to the free way. First time its really done that. Any have suggestions or should i just tske it to a mechanic?

I bought my 7.3 with mismatched batteries. I never thought it was an issue. Now I have an alternator going out and the battery light flashing. Never would have thought it had to do with mismatched batteries. Thank you for your help.

I have a 1995 7.3 f350 and recently replaced my radiator, water pump and thermostat. I used green 50/50 coolant that has turned into a yellow color. Any idea on what might cause the change in color? Is this normal?
