    That was a pleasant video and a nice view of the truck, informative as usual, keep em coming, can't wait for the end product that will be amazing being that we went through the build with you!

    Clint… you’re a good man. I like that you stopped to tell everyone to enjoy life. Considerate also. I like how your channel has come along. I like learning from you. I feel now I am very familiar and far above average as far as working on the 7.3 L power stroke in my knowledge of it. I have done an engine swap after grenade in cylinder seven in my work truck, and I’ve done pretty much a full build on my current truck. I’m waiting for a PCM rebuild to be complete from Chattanooga one thing I would really like to see from you that I would really appreciate is a video on how to properly compression test a diesel. At least how to do it on a 7.3 L. I would like explained the running compression test versus non-running compression test what the differences are? Exhaust valve etc. I also think one video that would help a lot of people out and keep a lot more 7.3 L on the road is a video kind of going down the list of electrical problems that happen on the engine. I know you talk a lot about the wire harness, which is a big one. I just put a new wire harness in my truck today. I got it from swag performance. I don’t like a few things about it but it’s doing its job. Could not find one from Ford.

      The trick is get kilmat but also a thick foam for in between that and the carpet. Kilmat does great for reverberation but you get most benefit from that thick foam mat too

      @@Content7.3 it’s nothing special just a stock 7.3. I Litterally just wanted to turn the crew cab into a single cab 12 foot deck and the only active cab I could find was from a 2010 5.4 gas truck so I’m just making it work including using the 5.4 ecu to maintain the immobilizer and the 2010 cluster and stuff

      @@Content7.3 it’s honestly not that much. cut the rad support out of the two trucks, bolt the 7.3 rad support back to the frame and weld it to the 2010 cab. go through the harness and remove everything that’s not the engine / ecu / idm. Using the 2010 wheel speed sensors with the 2010 abs module , let’s the speedo work , spliced the VSS to both ecu so the 7.3 cruise control works. Used a signal converter and tapped into the 7.3 cps to get the tach for the 5.4 ecu .coolant temp - oil pressure - fuel level - 4x4 hi low are direct to the cluster right now I have the fuse box under the dash for the 7.3 engine stuff and then you just give power to the 2010 fuse boxes and everything inside the cab including Hvacc and stuff works. That’s about where I’m at now.

    Have you done a video on the Oil Pressure gauge? Six months ago I bought a 1998 E350 with 190k miles. I have put only 2k miles on it and I noticed that needle on my instrument cluster Oil Gauge has slowly crept up from about half way between red zone LOW and red zone HIGH to now reading around around 3/4 toward the HIGH zone. As soon as the engine starts the needle jumps to that level and stays there. Is this "normal?" What causes this to rise so that I know were to look to get a "normal" reading.
    I've watched hours of your videos as a new 7.3 owner. You are doing a great service. THANKS!

    Clint.... Fun topic idea. The red line limit of a 7.3. i say this because my 8.3 Cummins had 2 red lines; one for under load and a slightly higher red line for engine braking. Do you believe this to also be true for the 7.3?

I bought an 03 for parts truck to replace the trans and transfer case after the front driveline grenade Ed all of these parts out the backside of the truck and I owned it about six months. Damn 😢 I know what your talking about but when life is short! Now I don’t get communicating from the computer to figure what the hell is wrong with it. I’ve dumped about 12k into it and it doesn’t have that many miles on it. I know it had life in it and I need help finding out what it is that’s wrong. Any help would be so great thanks so much.

    If you wanted to make a whole video about the differences between the 2001 and 2002 (and even 2003).. that would be awesome. As I've said, I have a 2002 F350 supercab 6pd manual 4x4, 7.3L -- that is a cab/chassis (says "incomplete manufacturing" on the door sticker).. and I've had some strange findings when looking up parts for my truck. Some of the parts say they aren't even compatible with the F350 trucks, but rather the E-350. and I did a vin lookup, and on two of the sites it says "VAN" under type, for MY vin? But still says F-350. It's baffling to me. Even on my door sticker, it doesn't say what axles I have-- it's just blank (for the axles, everything else is there). It is a super basic truck with all manual everything (seats, mirrors, windows, locks, hubs, transmission, transfer case, etc. all of it), no tilt, no cruise control. I know you're busy, but if you did want to make a video showing how to tell if your truck is the older style (2001) or the newer changes getting ready for the 6.0 (2002)- like you said; and all the differences. I'd be thrilled about it. :).. love the channel; I've been watching all your older videos to catch up.

      I will be getting to this, As far as your situation you should be able to contact ford to find the originating dealer between ford and the dealer one of those two have the disclosure required by law of what is all changed from standard production . Normally that disclosure is added when there is a end of production and they are using up inventory or it was a buy back which wasn't suppose to be sold.

    • @calholli
      @calholli ปีที่แล้ว

      @@CUSTOMWORKS7.3PSD Interesting.. Yeah, I called my Dealer here in town and gave them my vin-- and they couldn't even tell me what axles I have. (same online when I looked it up). I'll ask them about the "originating dealer and the disclosure.. I'll look up a few other dealers in the next city if I have to. Thanks.
