Thanks Clint been a license diesel mechanic since 1976, never heard that before but makes sense. I have had customers come in saying the diesel was using oil then it quit using oil. Can't fix it when it ain't broke, now I know. You are a genius. Thanks for your videos never too old to learn.
Ohhhhh boy, I bet that's what happened to me a couple months ago🤦♂️I guess I'll still go ahead and rebuild the injectors I just got everything to do it on my 2000 7.3 214,000 miles. Thanks Clint 👍👍
Recently subscribed to your channel. I am a new owner of a 2000 PSD and your channel is off the heezy for sheezy. Love it. Great videos. Great information.
Thanks Clint, I knew the rings moved, but never thought about what you just said. So far, my 7.3L has not done that in the one year I have owned it, and accumulated about 7k miles.
I have a video idea for you, I have a 7.3 with 255,000 miles and I wanted to up grade and freshen it up. Start with the fuel tank work my way to new injectors.
Can you do a video about blue smoke on start up? I have replaced everything except for my high-pressure oil pump. Glow plugs. Harnesses. No oil in down pipe but rebuilt it anyways. Relay. Injectors. Still doing it About 2 quarts gone every 1.5k miles
I have been following you to help with my shaking 7.3. I found out that I have a bad dual mass flywheel and a cracked bellhousing on my zf5. Any suggestion on repairing those cracks? Thanks for what you do.
Question. I did have a sudden loss of oil, and smoke from exhaust. I Removed all injectors, Installed new o-rings, did find one bad o-ring. Ran fine for about a couple hundred miles now the same oil loss problem returned but it doesn't smoke while running now. Any thoughts?
Hey Clint, I have a license plate that you could add to your wall. It’s a good one. Not sure how to make contact with you, but if you know of a way I would be happy to send it to you.
Yall I got a question, on my 97 7.3, I've checked the ipr, injectors, icp, CPS map, fuel pressure, boost, ebpv and sensor and tube, and all that stuff, my truck has low power, struggles up a hill and I really gotta press on the gas more, and it has a strange idle that sounds like it goes high and low and keeps doing that, any ideas?
97 has several versions depending the state of origin sold, fuel pressure good under load using a visual pressure gauge ? The Ipr and icp, cam sensor can test good and still be bad test using forscan or bidirectional scanner under load. bad Under valve cover harness or connectors will also cause this, computer and IDM can cause this forscan or scanner can verify a fault under load basically all tests have to be under load to find a off electrical issue in sensors and fuel LET US KNOW
@@CUSTOMWORKS7.3PSD there is a valve cover wire on the top near the back passenger side with a slightly burnt looking prong and oil in it, is this the issue?

Bad ass info. That has been an intermittent issue in the last 2-3 hundred thousand miles. Comes and goes. 👍

We are currently planning a series showing up grades bumper to bumper
Right on
What do you think about ARCHOIL diesel fuel and oil additives?

@@CUSTOMWORKS7.3PSD I used for scan for the icp and ipr while driving and they showed good results, the injectors also passed a buzz test.
@@wilsoncountyrp7029 Good Good check the rest let us know ( under load )
