If I had seen this video yesterday, I would have agreed with you. But I've been on a retrospective journey with Ace Combat and... 6 blows the holy trinity out of the water. The music may not be as insane, and the cutscene plot mid be a little snooze worthy, but everything else is absolutely immaculate beyond a point that any other AC has ever achieved.

A lot of the game mechanics that you thought were new and novel are originally from the FATE (2005) games (4) Fishing, pet that you can send to town, Fame system , the way that spells work and even some sound effects, there was one guy that went from the fate team to torchlight 1 and 2. the Torchlight games 1&2, are the new fate games we never got not a sequel to Diablo 2. if you play FATE you will get it.

I love how in AC3 there is inertia! you can do high AoA flying and it feels way more satisfiying than in AC7 that feels like the plane is on rails... To be honest since i play War THunder i cant do with unrealistic physics, breaks my immersion lol

Part of why 04 is the best was because of Yellow 13, he's the best rival ace in the series. Pixy gets by through his fun theatrics and while I love them both, Y13 is on a whole another level. The intro was breathtaking to me as a kid, the F-4 carrier take off is unforgettable. I still prefer Zero because it's the most A2A leaning game in the series, can't really beat the funny rival squadrons in that game with their _peak_ Ace Combat dialogues; if you like fighter jets then obviously you want to have more cool dogfight setpieces and Zero is unparalleled in that aspect. Plus it have J35 Draken, and the Draken is cool. Mercs are also cooler than these patriotic protags with their boring default plane skins.

You can avoid missiles more effectively with barrel rolls (the real one, not the popular misconception one). This is one of the game where that maneuver is consistently reliable to evade them (along with the PS2 trilogy and AC2), it looks really cool in the replay.

I really wish there was more to coop. On launch you had a few people down for it back on Console, but after a whilenit became a "I'll do one run just so i have the achievement to plat the game"

No the game is poorly optimiz also you are force to listen to the side character talk in the bottom of the screen and you can't turn the npc talk off annoying also the camera keeps forcing it self to look it one area piss me off you get disorientated cause of the fcking camera always forcing you to look in one area its like saying go here go here this way to the boss go here look here walk here u have to fight right the camera don't but this game don't believe this video he don't talk about how bad this game optimizations is it's should not be slow In steam its still in beta stage no more updates n no bugs fix the team jpthat made this game abandoned this game.

I still have my copy of Zeonic Front and it’s amazing to play still, because the suits felt like they existed within the world and had reasonable movement. And no other game, except maybe Federation Vs Zeon made the Gundam feel so terrifying because of just how powerful it is.

Right on target! Also, love that you brought up Gundam Journey to Jaburo and Zeonic Front. J2J was my first ps2 game and imo the best Gundam game. I aced the side missions with the Gouf. I wish I had the ability to record at the time.

I loved this game back in the day and it is still one of my favorite Gundam games ever! Playing right now! Thank goodness for emulators!!!

This game was my introduction to the franchise, my proudest gaming moment was Getting S ranks on ALL of the missions. Story Mode and Simulation. It was a slog, but it was worth it.

Shattered Skies will always be number 1. It’s the only one that doesn’t whine about war, but glorifies the honor in getting done what needs to get done.

i don't understand why people hate the story of this game so much they say it's convoluted and doesn't make sense, but i say they just don't pay attention. it's not convoluted at all

for someone who played alot of gundam seed destiny: zaft vs rengou 2+(long name i know), i cant look at the gameplay of battle aliance and not feel like its VERY mediocre. not just the combat is pretty boring, but even the story mode is just bland. the gundam vs on psp was also far more fun to play around and unlock stuff. its not a bad game, but i wouldnt count it as GOOD either. i would actually put sd g generation cross rays above it, and even that one doesnt compare with the really good sd g gen games. like DS(which looked like shit even back in the game, but is so much fun) or overworld. hell, even spirits, with its insane amount of bullshite, and no real good map to grind i would argue was a better game, since it was the first to introduce the "size" mechanic to the franchise. overall, we dont really have much choice on PC. but since we will be getting the next gundam breaker, and its based of gundam breaker 3, an AMAZING game. the only thing we are missing is the gundam extreme vs. which is the best of the gundam vs franchise. compared to those games, battle alliance is just... meh.

As someone who usually avoids anything SD, I have to say this is one of my favourite Gundam games. Sadly as time goes on and the player count drops though it becomes increasingly hard to be able to efficiently clear later missions. I do play on console though, so I can't say if the PC community has been effected by this as much. It's a very grindy game and will have you replaying the same missions over and over, but that is negated somewhat by how quickly you can clear them once you've upgraded your mobile suits. Also the balance is basically non existent making certain mobile suits much better than others, especially when it comes to some of the DLC suits. It sounds like I'm ragging on it, but where it really shines is the game play. It's just fun to zoom around the map shooting and bashing enemies which to me is the most important part.

Pc is getting breaker 4 and it looks amazing so far.

Honestly still love this game. Really like a good hack and slash game and I love Gundam so this was a fun match up for me. Trying to figure out the more advanced combo tech was nice as well. Loved using Gold Frame Amatsu Mina throughout the game along with Penelope once that DLC dropped.

Game is fun for the first hours. Sadly when you realize you are playing the same like 8 maps over and over again it gets pretty annoying. I played it alot cause of all the suits I love that are in it. Definitely worth the $20-30 range. It does feel like its missing some elements.

As for story it really cool another universe/year gundam invaded, that is the missing piece on genesis and cross rays. Also we need more suit, sadly it will be bigger size and budget to make 😂

The only disagreement i have is the aircraft selection , (the F-4 is my fav so i am grateful for that )but still i would like to see more aircraft , same problem with 6 and they dont have the F4 ;(

A pretty good game. Is not the best most awesome game ever, but i can't understand the bad reviews.

A lot of people criticised that you destroy Excalibur the next mission after it's revealed, but I think that's just good story telling. They've just exposed their anti-missile defence system as a devastating offensive weapon. That makes it a priority target, and one that isn't easily defendable. So it just shows that Belka was getting desperate, and as the story goes on it's because they had good reason to be.

I have no idea why they didnt port braeker 2 or 3 to pc but eh. Hopefully Breaker 4 will be a good sequel

Got me the game after watching the video, for a hefty discount too. I agree its nearly as good as the old games! I really enjoy it. But by the gods the story is dumb.....

This was essentially The Gundam Version of Dragon Ball Xenoverse.
