AMD FSR 3 is Here... it's INSANE | Forspoken Benchmarking

  • AMD's newest upscaling tech is here and let me tell you... the performance gains from it are absolutely insane. AMD GPU owners are finally in for a taste of that sweet frame-gen tech that Nvidia owners have been lucky to have already.
We try the new tech out in one of its currently supported titles, Forspoken, to see if it lives up to the hype.
All testing was done at 1440p.

Everybody who's going to test the demo you need to do four things to see how good the technology actually is.
    1. Turn on vSync
    2. Turn off motion blur
    3. Have a native frame rate of at least 60 FPS(around 70 is ideal)
    4. Lower The rotation speed of the camera to .7(The game sets its mouse sensitivity way too high and it makes the technology look worse than actually is)
I was a little bit skeptical at first but after I made sure all of these things were in place I was blown away. Its almost indiscernible from native frames and I don't personally notice any latency even though I dont have access to antilag+

fake frames are never as good as the real ones. Yeah right, higher number means automatically better... now look at the frametime graph... You tested it in static benchmark without any user input, so can't tell shit about how it really performs.
Input lag is over 100ms with base fps of 60.
Frametimes are all over the place, thus the game doesn't feel smoother, unless you limit fps externally.

People, this tech is amazing no doubt, but stop being blind. It's 100% clear that it has major artifacting in some areas. Actually, as far as I can tell, except for ghosting there's been no improvements to the upscaler itself. There's still major flickering, and popping objects. Look closely at the city area of the benchmark, I mean jesus that shit looks fugly. Still, framegen itself is a gamechanger and I can only imagine fsr 3 the upscaler is only gonna get better with updates and the modding community. Just don't stop criticizing where its due
