Thank you for this video. I graduated highschool when Pale Rider was realeased. I was surprised to see Eastwood in another western or anyone. The bullet pattern when over my head. Thanks for pointing it out.
Star was a boy wtf!!!!
That scene ruins the whole franchise. The should re-shoot all 9 pictures again.
Nobody wants full frontal from a dude
He was Christ - it’s obvious - well in his second form
Not only is it his best it is THE best
My Father named me after Kevin Kline's character
I consider this film a hidden gem from my childhood. Last night, I watched it again for this first time in a year or two. It has lost none of its magic over time. There are certain images that are forever frozen into my brain, like Reinhart and Maximiliam merging in Hell and the meteor coming at the bridge. Alex's death shows that you don't need blood for something to look horrific. Reinhart is a calculating antagonist who gets progressively creepier throughout the movie. I love the mat paintings, the score, the 70s laseers, and so much more.
They scrapped the design and van damme with it
This film turned Jennifer Jason Leigh into the prettiest girl in the world! She kept that title until Natalie Portman showed up..
11. A Russian friend critiqued William Smith and the other Russian-speakers and said their while they were fluent, their accents were terrible. But the extras playing Soviet soldiers that yelled things in the background sounded authentic. 12. As authentic Soviet clothing and uniforms were not available, the camouflage overalls worn by the VDV (paratroopers) and then captured by the Wolverines was probably supposed to be the KLMK pattern, copied from black-and-white photos. The movie camo had a dark brown-green base with white or light splotches, while the real camo has a lighter richer green base with more subdied light green splotches.
The most I’ve ever liked Sean Penn was in this movie. Now he’s just an ass.
In ‘A new hope’ when Luke says “I can’t see I thing in this helmet” it was a genuine remark from mark Hamil (his actor). He thought that the cameras weren’t rolling and was complaining about his lack of vision 😂

Best vampire movie ever!
The remake sucked so bad!
JJL was HOT!!
The football scene is still my favorite. The announcer describing Jefferson's hits and the scared opposing player are hilarious.
It’s twelve o’clock, American, another day closer to victory. And for all of you out there, on, or behind the line, this is your song.
Really?!? The first PG-13? I remember as a child when PG-13 started popping up, but I didn't know this was the first. But I remember that tons of 80s movies (and beyond) started being rated PG-13. That rating was created so that young teenagers didn't have to have someone over 17 with them.
I thought that about that with Led Zeppelin!
"Kiss me, you won't regret it."
100% dream, the movie ends fading to white; that's Quaid waking up, lobotomized
Sherman Oaks Galleria was where mediocre kid actors hung out in hopes of getting recognized/laid.
It's funny how Penn went method w his role. I mean, it's Spiccoli. Not exactly a complex character. If there was ever a character that didn't require method acting, it's probably that one.
1st thing to know....this movie stinks. Only good thing was the lack of a red bikini top
Clearly it’s your taste in movies that stinks
I ❤ U Jennifer Leigh Lee
I saw this at the movies, we had to then, with a date and this soundtrack was so perfect. Somebody’s Baby was perfect.
I thought the Kashmir playing was a joke, that Rattner didn’t know Led Zepplin and just thought any Zepplin song would fit the criteria.
90 Recall was so good and such a visually stimulating and compelling visual story. Going to check out the 2012 Recall tonight, hoping for the best
One of my absolute favorite 80’s high school movies! “No shirt, no shoes, no dice!”
"All I need are some tasty waves and some cool bud and I'm fine"
Yes!!!! Great movie! ❤
Yes. I noticed Rat playing "Kashmir" instead of side 1 of Led Zeppelin 4, but at the time I chalked it up to how Rat had a tendency to eff things up. Brian Backer (Rat), Robert Romanus (Damone), and Judge Reinhold (Brad) were all around 25 when the movie was filmed but all three do a good job convincing us they're 17 or 18.
They also said “Michael” an insane amount of times
Awesome movie! Some of the facts are a little bit off
Clearly not a dream
Gnarly
Star was a boy in the orignal script? And the older brother was attracted to "him"? :-(
Star wars a boy ????!!?!! Looked it up - you lie
One of the best. Avenging angel perhaps...when greed just gets so bad, divinity must intercede to bring back balance! ha ha
My gf went to a school dance with the actor who played Curtis Spicoli.
Lol. Go away, Curtis! I don't hear you unless you knock!
All due respect what did Patrick’s father death have to do with red dawn
No Dumond Dong?
I do think the original script probably sounds silly like the Goonies vs vampires LOL. If Hollywood does remake them go with the original script can't fuck it up any worse than that LOL.
Jennifer, Jason. Liege. My crush.
The movie was filmed in 1981,a true classic.A lot of people don't know that Jennifer Jason Leigh s father was Victor Morrow,he was killed a couple of weeks before Fast Times was released while Filming Twighlight Zone The Movie.
Killed how? Oh, right...the helicopter scene.
Two vietnamese children also died in that helicopter crash. One 6 years old girl and I think a 7 year old boy.😔sad RIP to Vic and the children.
Leigh and her father had been estranged for most of her life..
@HailAnts Really, that part I did know, because I think she filled a lawsuit against the Production, and the Director.
Another fun fact: There were two versions of the Phoebe Cates fantasy pool scene: the one we all saw, and one where she undoes her top but leaves it on. They show the second one when it airs on TV. There's also a deleted scene where Stacy tells Linda that the guy she slept with, called her house, and Stacy's mom said that Stacy was still at school. So that's why she never heard from him again, he discovered she lied about her age. Another fun fact: JJL really was 19, playing a 15yo. Final fun fact: The first guy she slept with was depicted as being much older but in real life, he was only about 20.
I didn’t know they deleted a scene about Stacy being in school. They should have left it in. Thanks!!
@@Tennkpt Stacy and Linda were walking through a parking garage at the mall, and Stacy sees the guy's car, then she and Linda talk about him a little. Up until then, I thought the guy was a jerk, he slept with her and then never called her again, but he did call and they cut it out.
As a 21 year old girl, it pissed me off that he didn’t know Kashmir was on physical graffiti, not Zep 4 lol
It actually turned the whole legal thing into another thing to laugh about, that Rat was so awkward around girls that he couldn't even get the right album to listen to.
Clints movies always had a mystery about who the man with no name is.
The uncut version is just a wondeful feast for the eyes, highly recommend.
@@hermeticxhaote4723 what did we miss?
