12 town and country. Loud hissing coming from brake pedal. Also can feel air coming out around pedal when brake are applied. Hard pedal along with abs kicking on. Does that sound like the booster is bad? Thank you
Yeah it could be that! I have seen the seal where the master cylinder bolts on go bad also. You could get some soapy water in a spray bolt and spray it. That would show you where the leak is.
Im hearing a hissing sound while breaking in my van , sounds like its coming from front passenger side , could it be master cylinder or brake booster? Or even both
I have a 2013 chrysler town and country. Both abs and traction control lights on. Checked codes. 1 active 2 stored. Brake booster - general signal failure(stored), right rear speed sensor-circuit current out of range(active even though I just replaced it), and vacuum pump control circuit performance - performance or incorrect operation(stored). Changed speed sensor, still throwing that code. Braking performance is poor, pedal gets hard and feels like the abs is kicking in. Any suggestions? Diagnosing this is driving me crazy. Im trying to avoid replacing parts i don't need to. Thanks in advance for any help!
It sounds like you might have two different problems. Do you have a scan tool that you can go into and see each wheel speed sensor? Then that way you can see if they are all readying the same speed. You could have a broken wire going to that sensor. I would fix that problem first and then go from there it could fix all your problems. Let me know if you have more questions. Thanks
My brake light now stays on. If I pull the pedal up all the way it will go off. Otherwise all three breaklights are on. My fuses are good. Is there a way to adjust the pedal or do I have to install a brake stop switch?
I actually have the same problem. What I ended up doing is taking some JB water weld epoxy and three small washer and bonding them to the top of the brake switch. For some reason the new master was to short on the one I did. Hope that helps.
My pedle will go nearly to the floor and there is a hissing noise when brake peddle is pressed. is this a symptom of a bad booster or could it be something else
I got a constant hissing noise coming from my break petal without even pressing it and there’s break fluid all over the carpet on driver side what could that be? And I gotta use my emergency break for breaks to even work!
You made it look easy. I'll let you know how well I do.
Thanks! Good luck to you! Let me know how it goes and if you have any questions!
Gracias, me ayudo bastante este video

I have the same exact problem.

Do you have anything leaking? If it’s coming from the passenger side then no. You got something else going on.
5:01 😂 my daughter was pissing herself laughing... Good job by the way, helps us a lot !

Get some soapy water in a spray bottle. And spray where you can hear the hissing noise. This should help you see what’s leaking.

Sound like you have a leak in your master cylinder. It could have made the seal go bad in the booster as well due to brake fluid leaking in it.
What was the reason you replaced it ? I’m having a air noise when pressing brake pedal
Mine had a hole in the bottom of it. You can spray it with some soapy water and see where it’s leaking from.
It get stiff or it random doesn’t break leading to collision
They can get stiff and stop working. Mine was all rusted out.
Thank You

Can you cover adjusting the push rod?
They don’t have an adjustment! What do you have going on?
@@csautomotive12 Pedal seems to travel ~1.5" before brakes engage. Without adjuster, it seem like too much play. Bakes were bled twice.
Grasias 🎉
Your welcome!
Don't forget to scoot the seat back before taking the battery out 😅
Great point!
How to know heavy dury or regular booster
You have to see if it’s single or dual position calipers on the front.
5:01 did u fart ?
