    My 2019 odyssey has this exact noise and took to Honda dealer for diagnostic which cost $250 and was told the issue was high pressure fuel pump, cost to replace $1559 before taxes. The part OEM is only $180 online so their 2 hours labor is $1200

    • @csautomotive12
      @csautomotive12 9 วันที่ผ่านมา

      Most of the time deals cost more for any repair. I’m sure a lot of that cost is for the part. They charge a lot for the high pressure fuel pump if you get it from the dealer. They’re not too bad to change. So if you can do it you would save a lot of money.

    Thanks for the info. I to was having the popping noise thinking it was the cv joint or the actuators. I changed them out. After replacing the parts, the noise was still there. Hopped on the internet and this video came up. I had changed the oil pan gasket about 2years ago and guess I didn't tighten the bolts to cross member specifications. I tighten them to 65ft lbs. and now I'm driving without the noise. New parts but no noise. 2012 Ford F150 XLT 4X4 5.0L

    Great vid! My son and I are working on replacing both chains on our 2006 3.5L Colorado while also taking the head out to be rebuilt. This is a home job and bigger than anything I've done before, but we're both embracing it as a learning experience! Two questions for you: 1 - We don't have the tools to evacuate the a/c, so I plan to just detach the a/c compressor. But aren't there other a/c hose components that have to be disconnected before removing the engine? I just don't want to end up accidentally discharging all the freon. 2 - We have to pull the camshafts before taking the head to the machine shop. As long as we remove them while at TDC and put them back with the same alignment (flats up in back), we should be fine, right?

    • @csautomotive12
      @csautomotive12 12 วันที่ผ่านมา

      First off good luck to you guys. Make sure you replace both timing chains when you take the motor out. There’s one in the front and one in the rear. It’s going your way be hard to get the motor out keeping the ac connected. there is not a lot of room in them. If it was me, I would just take it to the shop and have them evacuate it and then take it back when you’re done and have them recharge it. Just make sure you follow the procedure for rebuilding the engine and you’ll be just fine. I hope that helps!

Any advice on how to avoid that from happening if im not replacing the engine?

    • @csautomotive12
      @csautomotive12 26 วันที่ผ่านมา

      So I’m not sure if my first post got to you. So if it didn’t I wouldn’t be too worried about the bolt. The car I was working on had a rebuilt title that had so many problems. I would just loosen the bolts by hand. If they all break free then you should be good to take them out with an air gun. Just make sure you put a jack under the motor to support it. Hope that helps!

    Excellent !You actually gave a vivid and clear video so there's no confusion as to where you were taking apart the engine. The dealer recommends taking the whole assembly down from the bottom! Are you going to show a video on reassembly? I"m doing a 3.6 Chrysler 200 and was hoping I could remove it from the top, but wishing I didn't"T have to remove the whole front end! Thank You so much for your perfect videos!

    • @csautomotive12

      Thanks! I haven’t done any reassembly videos just because it the same steps to put it back in. Yeah most of the time I drop everything out the bottom. I just wanted to see how it was coming out of that top. On most cars it always easier coming out of the bottom. But I would have to say this one was not too bad coming out of the top. Good luck to you!

    Thanks for the videos. Question did you check to see if the block was not warped as well?

    • @csautomotive12
      @csautomotive12 หลายเดือนก่อน

      You’re welcome. You could always put a straight edge on it and check it to see if it is. The block is so much thicker that most of the time they do not warp.

    Really appreciate the work completed for this video. I lost my wire harness documentation and the video helped me identify most of the harness connectors/sensors.
