speedkar99 I love mine too and I will often use the 5 inch diamant blade which works great on métal too and doesnt break in your face when your in a thight spot with that said thanks for your work
speedkar99 You can always take the guard off and put a 5 inch it works very well as for me I always take the guard off all my grinder s but im very carefull expecially if I use a thin métal blade as soon as there chiped like I change them because they break which is why I use the diamant one it last longer and you dont have to worry its going to break in your face and I use grinder all the time another tip I can give if you dont already know it is that I always use my hand to screw the blade while holding the stop buttons same if I want to change the blade I unscrew it by hand the only time this doesnt work is if the grinder is too old (used)been doing this for the last 15 years 😉

This is one of the best videos I've ever seen explaining how the brake booster and master cylinder work. I always wondered why the brake pedal would return when there was vacuum on one side only - reason it does is because there is a valve that I didn't know about equalizing the vacuum on both sides. Thanks for explaining everything and for showing (rather than just talking) about the components.
Another awesome video. For me, I appreciate how you just cut right to the chase. You take the time to edit your videos so that they are succinct and to the point. So many other TH-cam presenters seem like they spend so much time talking and wasting time and not getting to the point of why the video was made to explain in the first place. However, just about 3000km of driving since the above replacements were made, the car suddenly failed to engaged any gear while driving. The clutch pedal all the way goes to floor and never return back. I have to manually return to its original position and then pressed again repeated. However, it still sticks to the floor and never return back. I was driving and all of sudden the issue happens. Stuck in traffic and was pull over to roadside with traffic police help. Wait for some time, and yes, it come to engaged and disengaged again. All ok. But, the problems arise intermitently!!! There is no physical leakage, damage or low fluids in the system. All ok. (It used to happen when clutch is used often ie in traffic jams, clutch engaged and disengaged frequently, just in 10 minutes or so. However, no issues with pulling power and no clutch slippages, temperature, coolant all ok.)

im pretty mechanically inclined and do all my own repairs, which owning a jeep and a 96 cummins is alot, i still dont quite understand how the booster works, yes vacuum pulls on the plate and a valve allows atmospheric air in to stop the equilibrium/provide a pressure difference on each side... what i dont understand is how it doesnt just go full brakes/locked up as soon as the that pressure difference is there, it provides a pretty uniform assistance but doesnt just full lock.. okay i think i just explained it to myself, the size and of that plate and the return spring are balanced just so to give you the correct amount of assistance without overpowering the mastercylinder and making the brakes either 100% on or 100% off
i still find it weird or amazing how well it works in making the brake pedal feel so effortless throughout the entire throw and it doesnt cause jerky/spontaneous braking when you you just barely touch the pedal

Been working on brakes 1986 …. Never Took A master cylinder Or a Break booster apart….. just changed them out…..Absolutely Outstanding video on how it works and what’s on the inside…. Best one I’ve ever seen…. No BS go straight to the point and explains everything flawlessly!!
That redundancy in the master cylinder saved my butt when merging from one highway to the other at 60mph. Brake line to the back wheels exploded at the same time. I didn't know that until now. Great video! Love the toothbrush!
isnt the system in the master cylinder just if one of the pistons in the master cylinder fails? wouldnt effect what happens if a brake line fails, thats down to the proportional valve? i assume if you lose your right rear you also lose your left rear but keep the front due to the proportional valve keeping them seperate for safety and mainly for brake bias. unless the two pistons in the master cylinder go to different places? one to the front and one to the rear wheels? but then there is no backup if one piston in master cylinder fails, you will lose braking at either front or rear, whereas if it works how i thought then if one piston fails you still have normal braking? er, sorry im rambling.

Considering you already know the components, basically, the pedal is attached the same way leverage wise as the brake pedal, except its hooked up to the master cylander that hydraulically sends brake fluid to the slave cylander which has a piston that pushes against the throwout bearing which spins/pushes against the fins on the pressure plate, releasing the clutch. Lol
From an old man who is retired mechanic, son you are an gifted individual in mechanic and teaching. These days guys in repair shop are mostly A part changers . I have a 74 dodge and 95% of garages refused to work on it ( and the car is a slant 6 fly the simplest engine and car to work on ! ) any way it is what it is but you are standing tall amongst these leprechauns .

Theres nothing to a brake booster. I once repaired a new porsche and the booster was dented. i was quoted $4000 for a new one. I took it to a brake specialist and he said it can not be repaired. So i took it home undone the tabs that hold it together and repaired the dent, put it on it worked like a new one. Plus it only took me half an hour!

it is in the name, brake "BOOSTER" picture an 80yr old lady weighing 130LB and driving a fully loaded chevy tahoe. do you think it will be easy for her to stop the vehicle without a vacuum assisted brake? hard as fuck
you'll understand why when your brake booster goes bad. that light tap you use to stop you car will become a fatigued foot muscle after a long drive. your foot will actually be doing the work.

And the best part: * No unnecessary and obnoxious background music that's always too loud. * No rambling on about all kinds of details no one wants to hear about your life, dog, how great you are etc.... * No long, slow boring and usually inaccurate explanations. As a ASE mechanic for 23 years, I found the best way to fix something is to first know how it works. You covered all the bases with clear, consise information. However, just about 3000km of driving since the above replacements were made, the car suddenly failed to engaged any gear while driving. The clutch pedal all the way goes to floor and never return back. I have to manually return to its original position and then pressed again repeated. However, it still sticks to the floor and never return back.
I was driving and all of sudden the issue happens. Stuck in traffic and was pull over to roadside with traffic police help.
Wait for some time, and yes, it come to engaged and disengaged again. All ok. But, the problems arise intermitently!!!
There is no physical leakage, damage or low fluids in the system. All ok. (It used to happen when clutch is used often ie in traffic jams, clutch engaged and disengaged frequently, just in 10 minutes or so. However, no issues with pulling power and no clutch slippages, temperature, coolant all ok.)

Considering you already know the components, basically, the pedal is attached the same way leverage wise as the brake pedal, except its hooked up to the master cylander that hydraulically sends brake fluid to the slave cylander which has a piston that pushes against the throwout bearing which spins/pushes against the fins on the pressure plate, releasing the clutch. Lol

Theres nothing to a brake booster. I once repaired a new porsche and the booster was dented. i was quoted $4000 for a new one. I took it to a brake specialist and he said it can not be repaired. So i took it home undone the tabs that hold it together and repaired the dent, put it on it worked like a new one. Plus it only took me half an hour!

4:32 the vaccum proportion, i never understood, why we need vaccum? the brake system is totally manual according to my research

That helps to push the big diaphragm which helps pushing the piston

picture an 80yr old lady weighing 130LB and driving a fully loaded chevy tahoe. do you think it will be easy for her to stop the vehicle without a vacuum assisted brake? hard as fuck
you'll understand why when your brake booster goes bad. that light tap you use to stop you car will become a fatigued foot muscle after a long drive. your foot will actually be doing the work.
