    Success comes from Powerful Habits - Struggle is overrated!

    In Buddhism, there is the concept of "non-self", which states, that most things more or less just happen, without much influence! If that is true, habits are immeasurably more important than most people think and cannot be overstated

    • @educationvi857
      @educationvi857 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      That is wrong understanding about "non-self". Non-self means there's no core as I , he, she, a person or being, only the process of cause and effect. But this understanding can be understood only one gains the true wisdom (Supramundane wisdom : lukuttara Panna) through ones own experience by vipassana meditation. Nothing happened by itself. Habits also arise from causes.

    • @TheDhammaHub
      @TheDhammaHub 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@educationvi857 Well, for all practical purposes, "just happens" is sufficient to highlight that there is no external "self" that controls the process. Even the most unenlightened Puthujjana can see that there is cause & effect at work but he still _assumes_ an implicit self in everything. That said, you can have many experiences of non-self way before you become a Stream Enterer. A Stream Enterer also knows how to "use" that knowledge to overcome arisen suffering

    All about the habit loop; the starting point of the cue is critical and once this is managed, this can impact the chain effect.

    Write down in detail what you'll do once you had identified the cue (what triggers to go through ) a routine of your bad habit, will increase the chances to avoid it - 7:30
    "It looks like people with great self-control aren't working hard, but that's because they have made it automatic. Their willpower occurs without them having to think about it" Angela Duckworth ('Grit') - 8:04

    I am pushing myself to doing bad habit by countiniouly doing Bad habit cue. Cue and reward is the only thing which I distracted. When I wanted to study my mind say. Why not see You tube video. And End day. I feel I can't do my work properly.That is good that the writer give me to show the real solution of that.
