    1. How to Win Friends And Influence People by Dale Carnegie
    2. Never Split The Difference by Chris Voss
    3. Influence by Robert Cialdini
    4. Way of The Wolf by Jordan Belfort
    5. The Art of Seduction by Robert Greene
I guess if one can master these 5 books & implement them in real life, that person is going to be dangerously persuasive.
Please don't be that person 😂😂😂
Seriously, they are my favorite books. ❤💖💕💟💞💝💗

I am glad to note non of these marketing tactics would work on me. I am skeptical. I always ask one question "What's *really* going on here?" Almost always I accurately realize whats going on and dont fall victim to manipulations. It is also useful in relationships. People dont tell you what they're really feeling. You have to figure it out. This works for me.

What about the ethics of doing this? I'm wondering if in the book, it reminds you not to make things up to get sales vs. genuinely relate to the client. For example... Was there really a meat shortage being predicted, or was that made up to boost sales? It's not ethical to lie to your customers to sell them things they don't need.

    • @MarcelinoDeseo
      @MarcelinoDeseo 4 ปีที่แล้ว +2

Yeah, I'm also concerned with the ethics of some of the recommended tips. After all, doing something unethical contradicts the golden rule, right?

Me applying this to asking a girl out...First, dress well, nice watch, etc...then try to relate with her about her coffee or book she is reading, etc...then ask her does she have an instagram and then share yours (make sure your last few photos are great with good comments), DONT KNOW ABOUT THE ESCALATION BIT, then finally tell her you want to take her to an exclusive trendy new restaurant (this is the tip/exchange)...what do you think? Anything to add?

This is a great video. But the salesman example at the beginning is a little behind times. Any sales associate, if he/she says:
    1. Many people have bought this in neighbourhood
    2. This is the last one
    3. I have the same at my house too!
I feel little ingenuity on the sales associate part. May be new tactics are needed contemporary to present times.

So basically in order to sell something you have to lie constantly?? Pretend you are interested in others and give false information about yourself? I know that they are small lies but come on..This is why most people hate salesmen, because they know 90% of what they see is a lie in order to get you to buy something.

Escalating commitment doesn't work. People only sign up for webinar or 1st month free/$1 because they are interested in the membership in the first place - and not the other way around. And running after thief is not escalating commitment, it is keeping the commitment already made. We hate people who try to escalate commitment so much that we claw back on the original commitment

The trouble with these sales tools is that a lot of it require lying eg. getting someone to think you are like them by saying you like golfing or the outdoors when you actually don't. What about people who want to be honest?
