After gaining the awareness that I possess this value, I am working on NOT worrying about being "right" and NOT wasting my time and energy to prove that I was/am right. This was really good.. thanks..
I haven't read the book.. but guess now I will..
A few points I live by that are mentioned here...
    1. Someone did not get you angry... you reacted to them. No one has control over you. You'll keep hurting yourself by that bed post corner (i always do), regardless of how angry you get with it.. and it has absolutely zero care of how angry you get. Same is true with people.. At some point you have to tell yourself.. time to get a new bed without a sharp bed post.
    2. You see a problem, you resolve it.. you can't resolve it, you mitigate it. (remind yourself the words from the Serenity Poem)
    3. When a "bad" thing happens.. use it as an opportunity for growth.. good entrepreneurs will try to profit from it.. use it as a learning experience.. the one benefit from all "bad" events is the opportunity to learn from it. Don't make every loss a 100% loss.. learning from it is very valuable.. maybe worth more than the actual loss.

5:08 struggling artists... Really? Tell that to van Gogh.
There are many errors in this presentation. It’s just the same script used by Tony Robins and Brian Tracy and all the others.
The fact is that the MORE personal responsibility you take, the MORE empathy you tend to have for others. But the LESS personal responsibility you take, the LESS empathy you tend to have for others.
Which type is the most successful in the real world? It sure as hell is not the empaths.
We live in a psychopathic system run by psychopathic creatures, managed by their agents and lackeys. That’s obvious from ALL the empirical facts.
So what are these bat-squeak self help gurus really selling? Fake hope to the sleeping sheeple.
The World runs on a few rules. One is: Screw the other guy before he screws you. If you disagree with me, explain how a misogynistic crass vulgarian serial bankrupt asset stripper turned ‘reality’ TV presenter became president of the most powerful country on Earth.
Successful creatures demonstrably DO NOT take responsibility for their actions. They pass the buck and fire anyone who disagrees or threatens their status.

Thanks for the insightful summary... And for saving me buying the book if those are the core messages you've distilled from it. Edgy title, regurgitated wisdom - not a huge amount of original thought (or at least that's how it comes across to me, based on my knowledge).
Love the summaries, keep up the great work 👍

Reading self help books won't improve your life.
You've to work super hard to be successful.
    Self Improvement is masturbation.

I want to add something to this "not giving a fuck" thing. For me it is really hard not to. I recently learnt about 16personalities and learnt why I am like that. Maybe if anyone out there has problems with it, too, can take the test. It is free and only took me like 10 min.

The problem is too many people are busy kissing the ass of others to make them like you. Do you what you like and want to do. Never sell your soul to others.

I think I will have another IPA. Seen it all done it all and at 70 don't give a fu?k. Skydived, bungee jumped scuba dived and did all that drew me in. Have old injuries creeping up on me but what the fuck.

You might practice this by not bleeping the word "fuck," which proves that you do in fact give a fuck. However, this book assumes that fate is in favour of everyone, and that victims of those who hurt people can always make up for the damage by taking responsibility for the situation. Many times the victim's lives are permanently ruined beyond anything that can be recovered, and then the victims fall into despair because they in fact give a fuck. This can lead to suicide and never having to give a fuck again.

well taht's what your oppressors wants you to believe, that you shouldn't blame them for their responsability and change the world to create a world where the people are in control, write and vote their own laws instead of monarchs. no, don't focus on that, you might actually change the world, just think you can't do nothing about it and say its your responsability to change not them, but yourself...
    nicely done 1984

Who wants to 'take responsibility' for all of my problems, and make them your problem?!
I wonder if this guy/the author of that book would 'take responsibility' for me kicking them in the nuts?!

The book was a piece of literary shit. I quit reading halfway through. Anyone can repeat vulgarities over and over and over and over. Get it? The man is no writer.

Too much egocentric brain damage ....learn to determine the difference between wants and needs , cultivate a sense of self esteem by staying motivated to learn and perform , kick social media to the curb ....you'll be fine and you won't have time to wonder if your life " has meaning " .

The title is the thing I don't like about the book. It seems to be a worthy read but the technique of " not giving a fuck" is not the prominent feature of his problem solving method. It is only one step along the way to better thinking in regard to the pain that your problems present, i.e, to put your pain aside and focus on solving the problem. I wish he had chosen a more appealing title.

Acceptance is truth and the truth hurts but it sets you free we will be able to lie to ourselves better than anyone we will meet on the planet but once we stop believing that lie where are no longer a prisoner of that lie ask yourself what lies are you telling yourself This Moment to accept responsibility of your actions is to accept truth of your actions🤔

I loved reading this book and the reason for it is that he doesn't include ton of example. Even if he does, it's gonna be
meaningful and not just to extend it. Also, he does a good job of simplifying things and make them pertain to the
    common sense.
