    Thank you for your videos! I have been fasting over the last few years varying and testing different fasting lengths. I am making my way back into ADF this week after giving 20 hours fasts a try for a couple of months. I feel for my body, ADF is the only fast that truly will shift the scale. Your videos offer me reassurance that I can push through my thoughts that tell me I can't.

      Me too!! Only ADF will move my scale. I even tried 20:4's and they didnt do much.

    Excellent tips and advice thanks for sharing. I started with the 5:2 diet before going 4::3 then to alternate day but defo need to ease in to it. Have a great weekend and week

      Gotcha! Yeah I looked into 5:2 when I learned about it through Michael Mosley, but for some reason never tried it. The 500 calorie fasting day has never appealed to me. Thanks for watching Kevin and you have a great week as well. 😊

    I had planned on doing adf last week, sailed through Monday. Tuesday the doctor started me on steroids, so adf out the window for a week.
    It’s all good and Tuesday I will begin my adf journey. Glad I stumbled upon your channel and yes I love Gin Stephen’s also . Fast on friends

    Thank you, Lexi! I am giving ADF another whirl and am in my 2nd week trying 4/3. If I can get past 4pm without crumbling, I feel like I can do it. I just watched this video at 4pm, and I brewed a cup of coffee to try to get me past the hump. I hope the coffee doesn't keep me up. So far, I am sleeping okay. But I am daydreaming about breakfast! Now to get back to grading papers to keep my mind busy. I'm also rereading FFR, which I first heard about from you. Thank you for the videos and encouragement.

    I break my fast with a Two Good Yogurt with a couple of tablespoons of whole milk Greek yogurt mixed in. It’s a gut reset after fasting.

    I’ve done IF and OMAD before, but when I started ADF, I became so obsessed with food that I caved. UGH! I don’t know why, but it has been a rough start for me even though I have experience with fasting. I’m gonna try it again. Thanks for this information.

    I'm on my ADF journey and I find fast days to be 80% mental. 20% physical due to a short period of hunger pangs within first 12 hours or so.

    Truly very hard for me to actually do a first 36h fast, and its very hard even tough I have done IF for long. I have had to redo a 36h fast again and again because I was unable to. I have to relearned my brain not to crave inn to temptation and be consistent. I am trying a month ADF challenge and see if I can do it.

    Do you alter your fast any according to your monthly cycle? Ive been watching Dr. Mindy Pelz and she says you should not fast the week before your period. Im in my 2nd week of ADF so Im curious about your experience since you have been so successful..

    • @MomFasting
      @MomFasting  ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Hi! So yeah I’ve heard all of that and I really think it depends on the person. ADF has helped me to not get sick the week before my period, because I used to get a cold pretty much every month at that time. The fasting method podcast (Jason Fung’s team) addresses this and says that if you’re trying to conceive, you shouldn’t fast the second half of your cycle because you act as if you’re pregnant. If you’re not, you’re good to go, especially if insulin resistance is your main problem. This is why it really is individual. I would never advise anyone on this, but I’ll say that I do ADF during that time, because it works for me-but I do vary my schedule quite often depending on what is happening. Hope that helps!

    • @mikesishaiah
      @mikesishaiah ปีที่แล้ว +2

      @MomFasting yes..that is helpful. I've wanted someone's opinion who has been successful with ADF...so thank you!! I have been fasting in various forms for about 5 months but not the week before my period and that week seems to undo what i accomplished. So, I will fast all month now using the ADF method!! Blessings

    What happens when she stops ADF or IF

    • @MomFasting
      @MomFasting  10 หลายเดือนก่อน +5

      If by “she” you mean me, just like with every diet or lifestyle, if you stop doing it, your results don’t last. This isn’t really any different. If you go back to doing what you did before, your body will go back to what it was before.
