    For everyone who keep saying that the fanatec is better for the same price, I want to explain them a simple thing. I bought a t-gt 2 like new, only opened for an exposition, for 500€. The fanatec DD pro would cost me 700 plus third pedal plus booster plus expedition = more than 1000€. Is really the fanatec product double better than the thrustmaster? I tried the t-gt 2 many times and the feelings that it transmits on gt sport are really remarkable, and I can’t wait to play with gt7. But I’m sorry, for all those pro players gran turismo is only an arcade and the thrustmaster is rubbish. I only admit that if you have to pay the whole price for a new one (750€) they’re actually too much.

    i'm loving my tgt2! just ordered a ps5 so i can get back into gran turismo because it truly is THE racing game for me lol. I've tried em all at this point it feels like, and I just miss that gt experience. I would have had to spend hundreds more for any of the direct drive options living in canada. i had a grand to spend and this was perfect for my purposes.

    If you like thrustmaster then get this wheel is what I say I don't think people realize heo many have switched to fanatec and gone back to thrustmaster its just they are used to how it feels and they gel with it me I gelled more with thrustmaster then my own cswv2.5 I didn't care if it wasn't as smooth I liked the way it felt better then you ask all these people saying the dd from fanatec feels like the cswv2.5 it makes you think about a fee things sure the DD is better for sure but some still enjoy the feel of thrustmaster its all preference at the end of the day me I like the weighty feel to thrustmaster I don't need a free flowing wheel lol do I want to get the new fnatec dd yeah I do but I will still use the thrustmaster at times also my point is DD is great but you can still enjoy a really good belt wheel I know I do and I know many others that just won't switch from thrustmaster and I'm talking league racers also I know a good bit or record holders that still use thrustmaster just saying enjoy what you have guys sometimes upgrading doesn't improve everything sometimes your use case and your preference and what you are used to matters lol

    thanks for the review, good to see some people making the effort to get an opinion out there on it so soon. i have personally owned a TGT and have since moved on from it, going to a fanatec clubsport 2.5 and then a fanatec DD1 and now i own a simucube 2 pro. i will say GT sport was not my main game but i did play it at times, i wouldn't call the TGT ''OP'' for GT sport just because it has that transducer feature, any DD will perform better even in GT sport because the most important thing for performance is speed and accuracy and you can hear the problem in the TGT straight away, when you turn the wheel very fast you can hear the wheel whirrrr, that whir is resistance, its not very free flowing and not very smooth, this was a problem with the original TGT and i even found the T300 to be smoother to turn (although not as fast for sure). but compare this to basically any direct drive and that resistance is gone, DD hardware is extremely fast, the wheel is far more alive in your hands and so quick and responsive, that will trump a little extra road feel the transducer mimics.
    still... appreciate the review and time, i was looking to see if thrustmaster at least changed the belts used along with the pulleys to bring it more in line with the csw 2.5 which is extremely smooth, no cogging noise etc, seems thrustmaster didn't even attempt that, im shocked.

    Hi mate. I have a thrustmaster T150 pro. Today I had a problem of my paddles. The gass paddle became clutch and the clutch paddle became the gass paddle. Is there anyway to change the settings? Please please advice me. Many thanks

    • @afons
      @afons  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Hey mate!! i found the answer to your problem!
      "The answer is very simple. The pedals on some Thrustmaster wheels can be flipped upside-down so the pedals hang. When you do this the gas and clutch signals need to be swapped. The wheel is able to do this really simply, and unfortunately can happen accidentally. The pedal mode is switched by pressing and holding the MODE button on the front of the steering wheel base. This will change the power indicator from red to green and back again. Red indicated floor mounted pedals and green is for hanging pedals. If you were holding the servo base and inadvertently pressed the mode button you could have ended up switching the mode by mistake.
      So the next time you encounter this just press the MODE button for three seconds and your gas and clutch will swap."

    Pretty new to sim racing with a wheel, have a pretty decent rig now, but still using the T150 , but did upgrade my pedals to the TLCM. For me it’s about fun and affordability. I’m about ready to upgrade my servo set up… With that said, is it it worth it to go straight to the TGTII instead of the T300, also, will this unit take the same wheels as the T300 as far as interchangeability? I’m ps4 platform only right now and all I play is GT Sport at the moment

      Yes it allows all wheel rims and it is better then the t300rs since you alresdy have a rim and pedals really good pedals tbh you can just buy the base as thrustmaster said they will release rhe bundle but will also be selling the base by itself now it is a few hundred more then the t300rs base from where you sre st rven the t300rs would be a good upgrade and you can grt that base for like 220 right now I I Amazon even has stock so thats a great price and deal I love my t300rs still to this day even after owning the cswv2.5 I just like thrustmaster wheels I like the weighty feel they have but the tgt 2 imo will he the best from thrustmaster the issue is the base looks like it's gonna be 500 and that's just for the base mabye theh will drop it to 400 on release after hearing people talk about price but can't go wrong with the t300rs man

      hi greg just wanted to say i upgraded from my logitech g29 to the thrustmaster tgt and the difference is like night and day its so much smoother as its belt driven much more accurate and smoother and is built with some awesome tech built in power supply is seperate from hub and with fans built inside actual motor and inside casing will never overheat the t300 was prone to overheating the wheel is small but great for gt sport i found i smashed all my lap times in tarmac racing and also in rally games this is simply because its much more realistic than using a g29 i maily play wrc 9 at the moment and another vast improvement to my tgt was to buy the sparco rally wheel this is 33cm diameter and again this made a huge difference in realism and again i smashed my rally stage times i went from always being in the top 200 right down to 7th place i was totally blown away the wheel i had before this was the ferrari evo 530 wheel again much improvement on the standard wheel that comes with the tgt my advice is if you like playing road/ rally games go for the sparco r383 rally wheel as this is just so good its also got a nice thick rim so is very nice in hand and is so much more realistic and immersive for track or rally stages hope this helps cheers terry

      Tough question, I upgraded to the T300RS Gt and the T-LCM pedals which for me was a huge updrade and is a fantastic setup that just does the job. The T300 is a great wheel and priced fairly well and can take all the Thrustmaster wheels. The TGTII is a LOT of money but if you have the budget, then it is worth considering though I personally think it is too expensive especially with the new DD wheel launch.

    • @thesimcave1340
      @thesimcave1340 3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@vMaxHeadroom thanks for the reply, been watching a lot of reviews of the T300, and right now it seems to be the best bang for the buck, for me anyway. Combine with the Thrustmaster Sparco P310 Competition wheel add on for a total of around $450… pretty good deal! Not many of us can afford a new DD and who knows when or IF Fanatec will ever make it PS4/5 compatible with all the licensing issues.

      Thanks for your comment! I would absolutely love to get my hands on a DD wheel base to finally draw some comparisons (for gran turismo at least).
      In my experience the TG-T is extremely well rounded for the GT games due to the functionality of the buttons correlating with the game settings, apart from the classic “rumble” that gives a weird depth, and slide perception.
      I’d be very interested in seeing how the DD handles this in GT Sport! I’m sure it’s incredible, but different.

    • @afons
      @afons  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I have yes! It’s always going to be a bit of a personal decision. If you only play GT Sport, and aren’t planning on getting on any other driving game then the TGT is without a doubt the best wheel out there.
      The amount of feedback, and depth you get from the rumble in the tgt is werid to describe and fantastic in gran turismo.
      The fanatec feels Nicer, has better finishing materials, and if you are going to race in other Sims out there (or go PC) then fanatec is probably the best bang for buck.
      You will have to calibrate the wheel, and make sure the drivers are all up to date. Requires a bit more maintenance in this sense as the tgt is just plug and play essentially,
      If you already have fanatec pedals then it may make more sense to go for the csl. It’s a great wheel and for the price it’s awesome.

      I own a TM TS-XW with T-CLM Loadcell pedals and a Sparco 310 wheel ( all together 700 EUR ). I like it but wanted to go for a DD. But I don't need 15 or 20Nm torque. So when Fanatec made the order available, I ordered the brandnew Fanatec CSL DD plus Boosterpack and McLaren V2 wheel. I will keep the TM Loadcells as they are very good. .....and the fanatec package it's way more then the 800 USD TM is asking for the complete wheelset incl pedals ( no Loadcell though ) .
      First, the fanatec CSL DD is just the wheelbase for 500 USD. You will certainly need the Boosterpack to get this 8Nm torque and some more FFB features for another 150 EUR ( 200 USD ? ) . Unless you have already a Fanatec wheel suitable for the new CSL DD, you would need a rim ( wheel ) which is another 250 - 450 USD at least...finally you would need some pedals. The cheapest Fanatec clock in at around 250 USD, I think. If you want loadcells, you're talking 400 USD. So we are talking about 1.200 USD rather then 800.- and that still does not include Fanatec loadcell pedals, which add another 200 $ to the bill. Ahh and in case of Laodcells and direct-drive you will need a rig. No way to run that at a normal office desk / on the floor. So plan another 500$ for a halfway decent Al Rig.

I bought it because the previous TG-T worked wonders for me, as a GT Sport driver primarily, but it was getting slightly old and some buttons started failing now and then. Not a huge issue but with GT7 in the (hopefully) close horizon i thought id get this now and give it a go.
      Its not for everybody, and there is a lot that can be improved in this wheel but its enough for what i usually race in. I have been interested in other sims recently and maybe down the line i will consider getting a pc with different gear in mind.
      Again, thanks for the comment! Have a great day!

      That depends on where you live I guess. For the 8nm without express delivery it’s 900 euros more a less (I ordered the DD Pro in November). I’m in the EU. Essentially the same in terms of bundle (base, wheel, pedals) for 100 euros more, and an extra 2nm with newer technology. I’m very excited to see how it feels. I’ll make a video comparing the two as I haven’t seen any yet! Thanks for the comment! X

      @afons  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hey! Well, the CSL DD Pro (8nm) costs more than the tgt 2 (if you get the same bundle including pedals, wheel and wheel base) although it’s roughly the same price and you are getting DD.
      I ordered the DD Pro in november and it arrives in one month. I’m looking forward to testing it out thoroughly and I’ll do a comparison video after. Thanks for the comment!

    "The T-GT II was refined and perfected in more than 23,000 hours of intensive research and development work ..." 23.000 hours of development time and you still have to fix the wheel with a screw .....

    • @KingdomChablo

      They did that because all of their add on wheels use this system. So it would not have made financial sense to change the connector.

      @@KingdomChablo Sorry Darren, I've never used the screw before, there are simple and, above all, inexpensive QuickRelease solutions that work on every wheel ... you just have to want it!

    This wheel isn't even worth buying. You might as well just save the money and get a Fanatec setup that's so much better with higher quality.
