Y'all forget she won an Oscar huh? Mo'nique is a great actress, her characters are always well executed and when needed multidimensional. I was excited to see her on screen again and she has been taking care of herself physically for several years now. I haven't gotten around to checking this out yet but when I got some down time I'm checking it out.
I hate that Hollywood shut her out. I love love love that Monique stands by her principles and will not let her integrity be compromised

I’m an empath and I wish I hadn’t watched it 😢… the first 5 minutes in was the clue… but I said ok maybe that was the worst but nope it got worse and wouldn’t let up…so why did I keep watching🫣 because I sometimes I try to push through and then I keep saying it’s a just movie but I was definitely still sad the next day after watching

“Thriller” is one of my fave move genres. Love seeing them done well especially with a black cast. Monique acted!! Reminded the kids of her talent!

Monique played that role. The movie took me for a loop. I wasn't expecting all that. She did give it everything.

Monique needs to win something for this, seriously. When she started crying in the room with Sky, explaining why she doesn't really go in her daughter's room, I cried with her. I was like damn Monique! It felt so real. She had to have dug deep in her real life or something. After the plot twist and the switch happened in Monique's eyes, I was like wtffff??? Lol she took me on such a rollercoaster. Crying, shocked, crying some more, cracking thee hell up, angry and then...empty. Idk sis, she did that! I wasn't feeling Sky at all. I actually would've preferred Monique be 7-0.
I was disappointed that the trailer straight up lied, but it was still a very good movie. I love Monique.
I broke down crying when Sky was telling Monique how her son died loving her. Then when Monique started to cry asking herself what had she done, I cried even harder. Then she busted out laughing talking about “F them kids, and F you too”. I just shook my head at that part. The movie really can mess with one’s emotions.
The running was giving me the comic relief I needed because I don’t like movies that make my nerves bad😂😂😂 I enjoyed it, and I love your hair

I have to agree this movie left me speechless just watched it last nite. Monique did a great job 👏🏾 really enjoyed the different dimensions she took us through with this movie. I am so proud and happy for her. Her acting skills are top tier. I can't wait to see more from her. I also liked that both her, her husband, and Lee Daniels all directed this movie. So, if you haven't seen it run, don't walk to do so

Listen EJ! I am already on the "I love MO train" but baby when she showed up on The Reading I was fully convinced she is the GOAT! I said what I said. Girl, I screamed, I cried! I even ran down my hall like Mo but I live in an apartment so I tripped over the cat litter and ran into the wall. 😂 Then she asked that girl " is that my f****** sweater" I was so scared I took my sweater off. It was an absolutely perfect performance!

Finally watched this movie while getting my locs retighten (not on BET+, but that’s none of my business) and Monique straight bodied that role. And I don’t really like Lee Daniels movies but the writing was actually good and the twist and turns in the movie were so unpredictable. Typically within the first 10 minutes I can guess the story and ending but not this one. It was so GOOD!

It was suspenseful, but for me personally it was the type of suspense you can watch SOLO
but it would be fun to watch with friends or family.
It's about as scary as the Orphan.
