Growing up in the 60’s, No fast food, momma did all the cooking, stay out her kitchen, she look at you eating and expect you to tell her how EVERYTHING TASTE, and always say it didn’t taste right to her, but you better not say it. Not because she’s my mom, SHE WAS AN OUTSTANDING COOK! She didn’t eat other peoples food…EJ you got it!
Sounds like my great grandmother, my grandma, and my mama! They were all outstanding cooks but they would not touch nobody else’s cooking!
I'm that way too. I didn't want to cook for Thanksgiving but I wanted somebody's food to taste like mine so I could show up for a plate.

I’m so sorry. My grandma is in the hospital right now,I’ve been praying she’s okay,I never got to do a good holiday with her since I don’t have my license yet (working on it) and don’t live that close; hour and a half but it’s all freeway-I would have gotten a bike a long time ago if there was a sidewalk or bike lane option. I’m torn between wanting her to stay and coming to peace with God taking her. My grandpa passed over twenty years ago and I know she misses him so much still.

My Mom let us help her when we were younger, but she did the lion share of the cooking. That was her gift to us and it made her feel good. Now we cook for her and it feels great.
