At the tender age of 4, my mom have me a beautiful purple satchel bag to keep my retractable colored crayons in. I would be so proud to carry this beautiful bag around with these awesome crayons to share and color with my friends. Everytime I brought my beautifully embroidered purple satchel around adults, the took particular interest in it and would ask me questions like " who gave you that bag"? Fast forward to my college years. I bought Crown Royal for the first time.......guess what I then realized?? 😂😂

Remember Entenmann's? They used to make these rectangular guava pastries. My mom would buy a box. There were just enough for everyone to get 1. My brother put 2 in the baking soda box that sits in the back of the fridge. I was going to the kitchen for a glass of Sunny D and caught him cheesing.
As a teen, my family and I were at the Corral of Golden and my mother would not put those soft buttery rolls in her purse to-go so my brother and I put it in our pockets. We snacked on them later.

Milk jug full of pennies, old parkay butter container with fish grease, sandwich meat container becomes Tupperware for lunch at work, big gulp cups from convenient stores is added to our cabinet like we bought a set, tin cookie containers hold important documents at the top of our closet, and a half a gallon milk jug with the top cut off can hold a piece of ivy plant, that we got from somebody’s yard until it starts growing and put in its own pot.

When I was little, supermarkets all used to sell little jarred shrimp cocktails in small reusable glasses with metal lids, and most people would obviously reuse the glasses after they were done with the shrimp cocktail. My mom did the same thing, but she got so MAD at me for refusing to drink orange juice out of that glass, like refusing to pour it into some other glass and not letting me leave the table until I drank it. My head knew it had been washed, but my soul said "YUCK, NO"

The best repurpose container was a coffee mug. Got a coffee mug out my grandparents kitchen cabinet to pour my coffee in and discovered my grandfather’s dentures. Turned out to be a good thing because they were his good teeth he wore to church on Sunday’s and they had been missing. RIP PopPop.

Basically any container with a lid will have multiple uses in our household. Cool whip tub, butter, sour cream, juice container will be reused to make iced tea. I love us!!
The price of food didn't increase it's the recycling home use of these containers that drove the prices up!

The craziest thing I’ve ever seen is green beans delivered to a church potluck in a gallon milk jug with the upper part cut off to make the opening large enough to pour them into the container (foil on top). I was a child when it happened, but I remember the women in the kitchen talking about it. And I know for a fact that those green beans did NOT get served that night.😮
