    I'm soaking walnuts, pecans, sunflower seeds and pumpkin seeds in distilled water with a generous splash of cyder vinegar and a tablespoon of salt. After watching this I think I need to leave out of the fridge to germinate. I'm going to make healthier chocolate bars (organic cocoa butter and powder) and sweeten with maple syrup. I'm just going to do it by eye. I was a chef for 25 years, so I think it'll work.

    i thought. phytic. acid was a molecule that plants used to hold minerals so when u consume it they also start attaching minerals of the other food thats in ur stomach like fruit and veggies, so alot of minerals and vit's are lot without people knowing it, it's good to see this info is spreading. Alooot of people never heard about it when i tell em about it. It"s also bad for ur bones to consume diary cuz the phosphor/calcium balance isn't correct (in spinach and brocolli it always is). Iv'e read about it in a book about tooth decay years ago. 2 much phytic acid and sugar are big causes. Grains also contain loads of this stuff so that i just avoid. To speed up the proces of breaking it down it helps to add something acidic in the water like lemon juice or vinegar (thats why SOURdough bread contains hardly any phytic acid, the dough is left to rest longer to break the PA down, its all about activating phytase which breaks it down. Roasting nuts also decreases the phytic acid so i soak and roast afterwards. There are lists only of the amounts of PA in specific foods and how long u need to soak. A good trick to get alot of nutrients is to eat 1 meal a day which contains alot of vits and minerals but absolutely nothing with PA in it (almost all complex carbs contain it)

    • @berthasherman6929
      @berthasherman6929 ปีที่แล้ว

      @inphinite zero I like what you said, but it's just the opposite with the PA. PA is actually protection for the plant itself to keep predators off them. Like animals, plants don't want to be eaten so PA is their defense, and it blocks our enzymes and causes leaky gut. One other thing to be cautious of is that spinach is not a really healthy food due to its high levels of acid. Do your research. Just like carrots are mostly starch. All the foods have been turned into starch due to hybridization and genetic engineering. The veggies are so starchy that you never need to eat another piece of bread in any form. Grapes with no seeds is forced on us as a healthy food but they have no nutritional value because the seed is gone. You are on the right path. This video helped me get better digestion. Thanks for sharing your information as well. Great job.

    1) Should the water ,in which the nuts were soaked, be drunk ?

    • @pera06
      @pera06 3 ปีที่แล้ว +7

      Most of the nutrients that make almond famous are found in the peel. It also acts as prebiotic fibre. I think the soaking gets rid of most of the tannins as these are water soluble but tannins are not all bad. Change the water a few times during soaking to maximise antinutrient removal. Try to consume soaked almonds and its products with green foods like spinach and brocolli for better nutrient assimilation.

    Is it possible good substances will also be washed away along with bad substances after soaking nuts in the water?

      Minimally, but getting rid of nutrients inhibitors like phytic acid & tannings is essential, otherwise most of the good substances shall bind with the inhibitors prohibiting the small intestines from absorbing them!

    I soaked nuts and then stored them and mold grew on them. So I guess you only soak what you’re gonna eat the next day
