    Psyllium Husk(Isabgol)- 1tsp
    Apple Cider Vinegar-1 tsp
    Mix this in 250 ml water and have it 30 mins before your meal.

    Isabgol should be taken for only a few days not to be continued forever it stuck to intestine and can cause complications later on .... So also advise this to people you are doing a great job

      As long as you drink it with enough water, I am not sure it can get 'stuck' to the intestinal walls -- the cells of these walls are shed and renewed every 4 days or so.

      This is absolutely correct regarding isabgol. I used to have this regularly for a long time. I stopped after I had a colono scopy which showed isabgol in my intestines. It should not be taken as a regular drink

      Actually it should be taken like a medicine once in 10 days or a month if it does not suit you. Sabja/basil seed is good alternative, isbgul is 100%fiber and sabja is 25% rest 75% is omega 3 anf other vitamins and minerals.

    It's been a week since I'm consuming 1 Tbsp. Psyllium Husk with water only 30mins before dinner. My gut feels better, very little or no indigestion since last week. Thank you for your advice.

    Simple prebiotics are fruits and vegetables, psyllium husk is husk is cellulose fiber , which is more load for the body to digest. But with vinegar added it will simplify a bit but simple is fruits and vegetables (which we can eat raw, not hard fiber ones)

    One tsp of psyllium husk, one table spoon of ACV and 200-250 ml of glass of water 20-30 min before your meal. If you find ACV too strong can reduce ACV to 1 tsp.

    Please do more videos on digestive issues. It is widespread ailment, affecting a very large section of the world. What is sad, is it is mostly ignored by conventional medicine. Doctors do not want to get into the root of the problem or even arrive at a diagnosis. They just prescribe pills, which are at best short-term fixes and really not practical option for long term. People just suffer in silence with no respite.

    to me neither isabgol or ACV helps. i use left over rice, add some water and yogurt to this, mix well and leave it overnite on the countertop. Not in the fridge. next morning before brushing i drink a glass of hot water and then after about 10 mins have this rice and yogurt mix. then I brush my teeth. our saliva also creates a lot of healthy bacteria overnite which is really good for digestion. the yogurt produces a lot of friendly bacteria and consuming this first thing in the morning works miracles on my gut. just once a day is enough. somehow store bought stuff never works for me. i tried kombucha, Yakult. by the way yakult has too much unnecessary sugar in it. so better avoid.

      I find this interesting and want to try it. When you say left-over rice, how old is the rice? Cooked on the same day? What is the quantity of rice? The proportion of rice and yogurt? Thanks!

      @@0anant0 rice cooked the previous day evening is what I mean by left over rice. not too old. just a bowl of rice is good enough. 1 bowl of rice half a cup of warm water and about 2 tablespoons of yogurt. mix it well and leave it overnite on the counter top. morning if you wish add just a pinch of salt mix it all well and consume.
      by morning the yogurt and rice both get fermented which releases millions of probiotic bacteria. and it has a very neutral taste. I dont know if you are from India but this is a very common food in many parts of India Orissa its called Pakhala and is relished all day. in South India this is a common practice to have this first thing in the morning. try it. its good for you. if you consume it everyday for a few weeks, you will see a considerable improvement in your bowel movement and general health as now your intestines have got the fuel to "Process" your meals and it will efficiently send nutrients to your blood stream. Also when you are eating your food take your time to eat it. relish every morsel. chew your food properly. Digestion starts right from the mouth with the saliva. Ive met a lot of people who wolf down their food in 5 mins and then go to the washroom 3 times a day assuming they have good metabolism. and are always tired and lethargic. my answer to them is, you are dumping everything you ate. your body did not receive any nutrition from what you ate. the food chunks are not processed, just eliminated. Please eat right.

      @@buddhapiyao1315 Thanks for the detailed info! I will definitely try this. I do 1-3 day fasts on every new and full moon (some Buddhists follow this tradition). The first thing I consume to break the fast is yogurt -- can't describe how amazing it tastes after not eating for 2-3 days! I will definitely try this rice + yogurt. Thanks again!

      @@0anant0 fasting is really good for health. but somehow i could never fast. I get a splitting headache if ive not eaten for 6-8 hours. but I do eat small meals 4-6 times a day which keeps me going. I am very conscious of what I eat, will always check that its not oily, not too much sugar or salt. 90 % of the time i eat home cooked food and yogurt is the only animal product i use that too just a bit. rest is all vegan. I have a habit of drinking 2-3 glasses of hot water as soon as i get up then a warm glass of lemon water. i leave a gap of atleast an hour then eat about 10 soaked black raisins which ive soaked overnite. after about an hour of this I have my breakfast. the rice yogurt probiotic I take as lunch or early dinner sometimes and have it atleast 4 times a week.

    Psyllium Husk or Isabghol is a calcium blocker.Not advisable to consume for long periods of time.Consult your local Hakeem or Vaidh/Ayurvedic practioneer.

      May be true 👍🏼, infact anything in excess is always bad. evn Vry simple water in copper vessel also, good health drinks, supplements etc one should not take for longer periods, instead depending on our body type how it reacts- check & after 40-90 days stop that routine, take a break for few days like 15-30days & start again if needed. Take care always be healthy 😍

    • 1 tsp psyllium husk
    • 1 tbsp apple cider vinegar
    • stir into 200-250ml water
    Consume 20-30 minutes before one, some or all of your daily meals.
    If you find ACV a too strong for you, add 1 tsp instead of 1 tbsp.
    Optional: Add 1 tsp of Sri Lankan cinnamon to one serve per day (preferably before a high sugar or high carb meal). Cinnamon can reduce the spike in your blood sugar levels after a meal.

    I have IBS what helps is to mix 1 tsp sabja (basil) seeds to 1 litre drinking water wait till the seeds swell, add a tiny bit of tang for flavor n drink this water throughout the day

      From what I have read, pebiotics should be taken with care in case of IBS. It can be irritable to some. Check with your doc.

    Psyllium husk can act as sandpaper if you have gut / intestine inflammation issues
    . Try inulin from sunchokes

    Wow Thankyou Doctor.... Had emergency surgery 4 3mm stones block me had jaundice and Dr. said had to remove gall bladder. I always have a stitch pain like if you run to much on the right of my rib cage or at the end of my ribcage... What is the problem. Thankyou Doctor. It's like a tooth ache always there.

      its best to take a doctors advice for balancing hormones specially if your thyroid is affected. A very safe Ayurvedic herb to balance is Shatavari. Shatavari can be taken by women at absolutely any age. even right from childhood. a teaspoon of Shataviri boiled in a small glass of water can do considerable good to balance your hormones.

      Join candida groups on facebook... You will learn how to eradicate candida. Also kids whose gut is compromised with dysbiosis and candida have autism. Maybe your child improves once his gut improves.. Best of luck...

    Isabella is not a laxative. It is simple fibre. Helps with constipation . Does it that mean it is laxative.

    Actually a pre and probiotic drink gives me tremendous flatulence and uneasy feeling. For a few days I would feel gas, bloat in abdomen and weird feeling. This may not suit everyone as our system is not suited to sudden load of these things

      @@minakshi7155 The bacteria contained in these drinks may not be suitable for a particular body. We all have different genetic make up and react differently to these organisms. Just eating lots of fresh fruits and salads if possible with skin can provide innumerable gut friendly bacteria and also fiber necessary for growth of these bacteria. We don't need all these fancy experiments, which are not approved by any medical authority like ICMR, FDA etc

    We are told in India not to eat baasi food or overnight food the next day esp rice .But probiotics made from rice isn't it harmful n get spoilt the next day.i don't understand this concept recently suggested by most people .please remove my doubts

    What about Slippery elm ? can you please explain what is the diffrence between both because we are using Slippery elm and we didn’t know about Psylium husk, we use only for baking bread for example.

    Hi there, confusion here, so many youtubers advise not to take psyllium husk more than 5 days and then after one month break, can be restarted for another 5 days. What is your opinion? Is it safe to take psyllium husk every day with no side effects? Thanks!

      no its not safe for everyday use. Isabgol can do more harm than good if taken for longer period of time. just take more simpler probiotics like yogurt. ive mentioned a very easy recipe in my comments for a very effective probiotic. If you wish to try it for a few days. take a bowl of rice cooked in the evening. add little warm water and yogurt to this and mix well. cover it and leave it on the countertop overnite. by morning the yogurt and rice has fermented and generated millions of probiotic bacteria. you may add just a pinch of salt to this, mix it well and drink it. This you can have everyday without any side effects. this can be had any time of the day but if you have tummy issues its best to have this in the morning on empty stomach. over a period of a month or so this will help increase your gut bacteria naturally.

      1 Tea spoon Isabgol / Psyllium Husk
      1 Tb or 1Tea spoon Apple Cider Vinegar
      Mix in 200-250 ml of Water
      Drink 20-30 min before meal/meals
      Try 2-3 weeks
      Add Cinnamon Pwdr if not diabetic
