Man, your channel is a goldmine for Subaru info. Recently upgraded my sound system and the rattles are driving me insane!! Thanks for all the info and vids. Definitely MVP 🏆
OMG BRO YOUR A LIFE SAVER, i put speakers and a sub in my wrx trunk and it kept rattling i thought it was my wing but it wasnt it was my trunk, bro thank you that rattle sound was driving me insane im liking this and subscribing
Definately good video for rattles in the trunk. I would of covered the majority of the part under the plastic over with dynamat material and the entire plastic pieces with the closed cell foam for a bit more sound reduction. When i close my trunk now it has a solid more well built feel and thump.
Great video man! I will do this part too. Make sure you put some sound deadening around the gas cap area while you're inside. My gas cap cover was rattling too.
Just got a deal on black Friday for the exact same mono amp and sub finally for WRX - holy heck what a difference the sub makes at low freq. But now my taillights are rattling along with the quarter panel it’s crazy lol
@@akqjtn Def good advices on that. I'll try that later this month during holiday time. I did sound deadening for the majority of my car but unfortunately half-ass'd the quarter panel by only doing the lower portion lol. Lesson learnt not to half-ass anything now i gotta go back.
...thanks. Rubber vacuum line can help with cables too. Yes, at 17k/15mo, my '19 WRX has developed the ubiquitous rear shelf rattle. Acceleration and rough roads generate noise. With it cold out, the noise is more pronounced and happens more often. Might as well put 4"x4" squares on the trunk lid while you are in there.
I have a ford escape every got damn thing on this car rattled so I took it in and had the entire inside done and whoa it made an extremely big difference I've got two American bass vfl signature series with the grand father amp so it's pretty extreme
Having a similar problem in my corolla only problem is I don't know if the rattle is from the speakers or from the trunk lid area when the bass is high
yeah that rattles a lot. I ended up using some friction tape on contact points and then some foam shoved in there to put pressure on the inside. Removed the rattle completely, i heard you can also use a shop towel or rag shoved inside as well.
Thank you for going the extra mile on all of your videos. We have a great subie community for years to come.

Absolutely fantastic video and information, thanks a million, you made my life so much easier, rattling has been driving me batty!
My bumper is rattling where it meets the quarter panel. Might be your source.

No no no I don't like rattling trunk imma watch this video this guy is going to make everything better
They make a roll of slim soundproofing would work great on the plastic back of the cover

Cant wait to do this to mine
Thank you👏🏻 this has been bothering me
So helpful! Thank you!
A great video brother. Stay safe.
Thank you for this, and for other comments on other videos. Much appreciate the interactions with subs!
Underrated channel! Thank you for the content!

I think the third brake light is one of the worst spots on most cars. Especially these newer wrx/sti

this was excellent. Thankyou!!!!
A great video. Stay safe.
It's been a year. So how have the trunk area hold up? The aft dash board is driving me nuts.
I have a rattle on my 2006 sti with 124,000 miles. Seems to be coming from between the inside of the windshield and dash. Driving me loco.
Love it👌🏽
My STI doesn’t have the cover you had to remove. Is that normal?
Whats with ppl putting red subaru badges in place of the blue one?
I have tow sub and wen i open the trunk the sound become very loud but wen i closed the sound is shit.. Why?
Are you planning on changing your wheels?
@@akqjtn have 6 months withy sti haven't done touch upgrading thinking of new wheels but still debating . Will look forward to future vids.
Could I just duck tApe all the loose pieces
👍
I’m listening to your rattle from my car which is starting to make my base rattle. Rattleception
Eminem is that you?
Subarus are such pieces of shit. Worst engines you could ask for. I think trunk rattle is the least of anyone's concerns.
Don't your seat fold down? Then you can look inside
