FYI...the bumper clip that you cracked...to remove the clip, you DON'T pull it out. You push the pin in to release the locking tabs. Awesome video for dampening btw.
he did everything so well how did he not know this. these clips are all over motorcycles. will be doing this with my sti thank you for this series it's awesome! did you ever do the doors?
I did the same thing to my wheel well clip. Never seen em before but did figure out later that supposed to push in the center pin. Btw, what are those clips? I still haven't found new clips cause I've no idea what they're called or part#
the clip you broke was a push in and then pull out clip. You need to push the little circle in first and then get under it with a removal tool and take out.
So helpful and such good detail! I did this for my 2023 WRX today and most everything is still the same or very similar. Thank you! Best videos for this by far. I really appreciate the explanation for how all the trim clips and parts come off. It can be very daunting to try to take apart(dont wanna break stuff!) especially on a new vehicle. This made it easy, you're awesome 😎
Thanks for taking the time to make this series, I have a 2017 wrx which I am about to start the same process of sound deadening treatment. I'd love to see a part 4, where you take the car for a drive with the camera on, with music on and without, and for you to give your thoughts on the final results of your project.
I really like watching these vids and seeing how to take apart my 2016 WRX before I attempt it. Really don't like how easily the interior trim breaks.. But everything else is good. Take off the Front Bumper and Headlights next! 👍
how much of the vibrations did it cut out? I know once you you sound dead the vibrations will move to other parts of the car. good stuff i will use this video as a reference when i drop my w6 in the trunk
Did you solve the problem of the rattles in the area where the bumper meets the side panel? Is the same rattle that I've got on my car, you actually showed a video during this one that had that rattle on it. What got rid of it? Driving me nuts
that clip that gave you a hard time. it's a push type clip. need to push the center pin in then it can come off. great job. how much time and $$$ did it take for you to do this?
Boost and Shutter like above commenter said push from the center that will pop it out enough to get a flat blade or liner tool like you have underneath it. They also make a fancy pop clip tool
Boost and Shutter Awesome video series. Like you said great reference for any interior break down job. What would be your ultimate set up(which materials brand names) for a high end job like you stated regardless of weight? Thanks
I'm new to the channel, but it would really help to list the names of materials used. links on amazon would be helpful and,as an amazon affiate( its free to him), he could make some extra funds to use in his hobby. if no links, listed names & fav sites where he purchases would be very much appreciated. He is a master craftsman with videos the best i have seen. if fact, i am hoping to soon make some videos & share what he has taught me. great job.
Hey does anybody know what is the tool he was using to take off clips. Looks like small orange crowbar. Where can I get one of those? Anybody? Thank you :)
Literally came here for the plastic thing inside the trunk that attaches to the seat. Skipped that part. What a let down. Them clips like solid in there..

Aren't Subaru Foresters and WRX's similar in body components and construction? I'd like to do my 2012 Forester...
