Hi sir, I got clearcoat that's faded off the paint and now only left with paint which no matter how many times I polish it it will always come back dull and not shiny. Is there a cheap easy way to apply a very light clearcoat on the panel without having to take it to the body shop?

Although us detailers know this tip already, the way you showed how to do it was excellent and in real time to boot. So well done on the video.
You're very welcome!
WOW! What a great technique! Absolutely incredible, thank you for the important lesson!!!
This chap is a genius his skills work as I have done this repair on my own 53 plate rav 😊
Great to hear!
Perfect way of maintaining your car without spending excessive amounts of money on invisible details! Great job! Thanks for sharing 👍
Thanks for your time, and knowledge. I use your videos to keep my ‘78 W150 in trophy show condition, and my Wife’s 2012 Mustang, Club Edition in Lava Red free of stone chips. This video was perfect to fix a bumper scuff. Other guys in the club are asking me to fix stone chips on their cars as well.
Those that can teach, those that can’t claim they know. Ignore the naysayers, they are irrelevant.
Great feedback mate thanks its appreciated
Fantastic, thank you very much! I have an old beater and all the repair shops want to charge me an arm and a leg (1k+) to replace and paint entire panels or keep telling me it's not worth it. I think they know bloody well of this method, but prefer to charge extra or pressure me into buying a new car because of a few lousy scratches. Next thing you know, they'll tell you about sustainability and what not. Well thanks to you I'm gonna fix this myself now :-)
Tidy it up yourself mate. If it improves 70/80% it's been worth while
Wow I have never seen that done before, amazing, thanks!
Thanks!! Did you use single stage paint or combine base and clear to create a DIY single stage?
Amazing results as always, yet so simple method! Thank you!
WELL DONE MY MAN VERY CONSIDERATE OF YOU TO SHARE THESE TRADE SECRETS 👌
A really great way to do minor corrections... I would never have thought of this method
Super Sharp work!!! The English always do great work. Thank You!
Haha seen a fair few English bodge artists in my time but some of us are alright
Spot on mate, keep up the great work and content that you’re doing. You’ll never please everyone but don’t let that deter you. Some great advice for people like myself who want to try these little tips at home without expecting it to look brand new.
Appreciate the comments mate thanks
Mate, whoever is questioning your videos, they need to get a grip. Absolutely fantastic, matey 😎🤙🏽
Nice one as always mate. The people that accuse you of faking things really don't know what they are on about lol
Cheers mate. If i didn't chop and edit the vids they would be hours long and no one would watch them
Over half the area of my denim blue car bonnet got deeply scratched by kids using a sharp stone, I bought a touch-up and followed your method absolutely brilliant results, I was a bit concerned after putting the paint on with my finger as it looked awful but once i got the drill and cutting compound to it it turned out great, completely invisible! Highly recommend people try this before parting with a couple of hundred quid. Thanks from Ireland!!👍👍
Thanks for the tips and trick, really appreciated please keep up the good work.
Hi sir, I got clearcoat that's faded off the paint and now only left with paint which no matter how many times I polish it it will always come back dull and not shiny. Is there a cheap easy way to apply a very light clearcoat on the panel without having to take it to the body shop?
Amazing results! Thanks for sharing the knowledge!
My pleasure!
Amazing job! Just two questions: How long did you let the paint dry? And, Wouldn't be good to apply some clear coat on top?
About 3 mins. Mix maybe 10% clear in if you are adding some
Just wanted to say thank you! My brand new BMW 330 had 2 scratches and the paint color is Tanzanite Blue.. I was quoted $1200 for the entire panel to be painted.. I saw your video and got myself a polishing machine and some paint matched to the vehicle.. I can’t tell where the scratches are anymore.. end result is that it looks like new.. thank you so much for taking the time to make these videos! Absolutely brilliant! And all for under $250.. (plus now I have a polishing machine for future use) and it all took under 35 min. A+++ thanks again. Nate from Australia.
well i just watch this video. im impressed. looks great i dont understand why people are so negative. love the help. thank you.
Superb job, i thought you might wet sand the paint smear first to level it then polish, but no need,an even faster job. I taught myself how to machine polish paint 17 years ago. I could watch these videos all day long, always something new to learn and im almost 56 years old . 👍🙌
Im always learning too mate, thats what keeps it interesting.
Ignore the haters luv they cant help it. Excellent vid
Cheers

*Cuts to the next scene.*
Loved the video!
Only drying and boring bits were cut
@@cvrpov Can you post a link to the unedited version? Sometimes I like literally watching paint dry!
@@cvrpov Dude, how long did you let the paint dry? Lots of ppl. asking this but no answers!
Awesome, I have never seen that done before, definately going to use this for the scratches on my car, thanks for the video👌👍👍👍
No problem 👍
Just done it on my mini clubman very happy with the result
In your area, what would you suggest is a decent price to ask for this job? Which is a bloody good job mind you! Liked the vid, and have already been a subscriber for ages. 👍
Price accordingly to how much time you have spent, how much the method results worked and also the saving you've made the client compared to respray.
Greats tips, thanks for sharing.
Thanks mate appreciate the feedback
@cvrpov
Bought your full touch up kit
Do you do this with your solvent paint with the Gloss enhancer or without?
Greetings from Sweden
08:30 Talks about not cutting the video for transparency, cuts the video right after when showing the results lol
Thank you. I love your work and the amazing tips that make all the difference cheers mate
Happy to help
Can I ask what the prep was before applying the paint? Thanks for the video look forward to trying this!
So many people (including myself) want to know how long you let the paint dry for before polishing, but you're not answering...
In an older video showing the same process, he says to let the paint dry for 2 minutes.
@@pootieputin2771 thank you
Read manufacturers instructions
Love the tips and the birds chirping in the BG
Haha good old England
Really appreciate you sharing your wisdom. Very helpful. Ignore the negative people.
I’m about to try this on my car. This was much needed advice and I appreciate the detailed explanation. The most I’ve done is buff out surface scratches but this looks really doable!
Thanks for the great demo, as I need to do a similar job on my wife's car. Ignore the negative comments and keep up the excellent work, brother.
Great clip and tips, thank you from the USA
Glad it was helpful!
You are a paint wizard. This is exactly what I needed. You have saved me money, time, and a headache. God bless!
HI! This is an excellent video. straight to the point and detailed .Great job , and thank you .
Clearly totally above board and you can hear how sincere this guy is..Liked and subscribed...Keep it up good sir...
Working my way around my old Jag. Bit by bit eliminating the scratches. Bought the matched, solvent-based paint from Paint Gear as suggested. It's working well. Thank you very much for your videos.
Good stuff 👍🏻
TH-cam to the rescue again. keep up the good work. I had an eyesore of a rub on my car, not anymore! The window lifter on my BMW went and another simialar youtube chanel showed me how to sort it myself. it cost me €150 to do myself. BMW dealer wanted €1000. Dont listen to the negativtity. you saved me few quid!
