      I’m taking WAYYY too long on my 10K review; I think I built it up in my mind to be this grand project so I e just been editing and editing… it never ending… I’m thinking about doing a lightly edited “range review” I can drop easily, and then take my time on the “polished” review.
      What are your thoughts?

      @@PeaK808 Here's my $.02. Your content is very entertaining and informative. I'm guessing that people would be very happy viewing what you have even if there is a disclaimer that you're working on a polished review. I have no doubt that people will gladly watch both. I don't want you to be working on just the highly polished review a year from now when there is an announcement from IWI about a Gen 2.

    Well heck, this was a very well done video. I'm really glad TH-cam decided to throw you into my suggestions feed. Most LE & military training and procedures include keeping the shotty & long gun in a "condition 2" or, as you correctly said it is also called, "cruiser ready" until needed. Then a round will get chambered (condition 1) upon deployment, say, from however they are secured in the police vehicle as we roll in scene. For qualifications, many agencies have at least one stage of fire where a speed load and tac load are completed, but it doesn't seem to me that using the ghost load would expedite anything for the purposes of quals. It is very cool tho, and I appreciate watching & taking the info brother! Mahalo!

    One thing I discovered is you have to make sure what ammo manufacturer you're using because some of them say 2- 3/4" but they're actually longer and if you can get 5 rounds in the tube the tube will not rotate. I believe Fiocchi is one of them!!!

    • @Outlawv21992
      @Outlawv21992 หลายเดือนก่อน

      I had this happen with some supposed Rio 2 3/4 rounds... I could only get 4 of them in the tube. Thought my gun was jacked.... but sure enough I bought some more expensive Winchester 2 3/4 magnum slugs and BAM Five of them went right in.....

      I absolutely love my TS12 and I’m very confident you’ll fall in love with yours as well! Please LMK how your first range sesh goes with it.
      I use a variety of different loads, most recently I’ve been shooting Remington Sluggers, 1oz rifled slugs. Just make sure that your shells are in spec and meet the requirements specified in the manual (1200fps, 1 1/8 oz)
      These slugs I’m using are lighter than the minimum, but they’re moving much faster at 1610fps and have been working fine on the L gas setting.
      I have a Carlson’s tactical breacher choke on my TS12 right now, it’s not a suppressor (I would if I could lol).
      I’ve been using this for several months now and it’s pretty cool, there is a very small reduction in recoil, but i have it on for cool points more than anything else.

    there's enough space at the front for another shell, if they made the tubes a bit longer, it would have held 6 shells in each tube. 18 shells in tube. btw if 1 shell is in the lifter..... do I have to use the charging handle to put that shell into chamber?

    Peak 808 - quick question. You mentioned that you use a pump shotgun for home defense. Why not the TS12? Just curious. I just picked up the TS12 yesterday and really got it for home defense. Considering the size and maneuverability I figured it was perfect for the task.

    • @PeaK808
      @PeaK808  2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Aloha nō my friend, sorry for the late reply
      I’m going to make a video on this question as a few people have posed it to me as well.
      Long story short, it comes mostly down to the other members in my household and what they are comfortable and capable in using. MY TS12 has been nothing short of amazing; I have put over 3500 shells through mine to date. It is however, very unique, and with that comes much different ways to employ the gun to its best effectiveness.
      I’ll be making a video on how I’ve taught myself to run this platform soon as well.
      I hope this answers your question, it doesn’t have anything to do with the TS12 itself or my confidence in it, it’s purely because my girlfriend can run a pump like a boss, hasn’t put the time in to learn the operation of the TS12 and SHE doesn’t feel comfortable with it, though she does say the TS12 is better balanced and easier to hold.
      She also is 4’11” and 105 Lbs believe it or not lol

      @paulyp9853 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@PeaK808 Thank you for quick response. Much appreciated.
      Totally get it. A pump is an easier platform to run - at least a more familiar platform. The TS12 isnt difficult but it does take some work to get use to it. If she is more comfortable with it then it makes sense. Dont mess with household Mana!!
      I am fairly new to the TS12 so I I understand that it takes some adjusting to that style, but it is a blast to shoot .

      @@PeaK808 Recently at a shotgun class. I thought I was pretty bad ass with my TS-12 that got so many odd looks and compliments. In the class we were running mostly birdshot with an occasional select slug command given during a course of fire. At the end of the day we would all individually run the "gauntlet" involving moving, shooting, using cover and firing from various positions. We were told to load up our shotguns. I used the ghost loading method to give myself that extra round.
      At the starting line as I was given the "threat" command I was told my first target was the one roughly 30 yards away and required a slug. UGGGGG!!!!!
      Typically I will pull back the charging handle which ejects the round, drop in a slug through the ejection port, release the charging handle, push the safety off and fire. In this case I pulled back the ejection handle and I had a hot mess to deal with as the two birdshot rounds got jammed up.
      Maybe I did something incorrectly. Once I got home I tried several more times with dummy rounds. Without the ghost load the method I just described for a select slug drill worked fine. Likewise I believe I could remove a round from a magazine tube, rotate that tube to battery, fire off the chambered round and the ghost load round and have my third shot be the slug, but I don't want to have to fire two rounds, or even one round, just to make room for the slug.
      I hope I explained things in a way that makes clear the dilemma I ran into at the training drill.
      Thank you for all of the great videos.

    • @PeaK808
      @PeaK808  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@kylepaquet5930 the buttpad is a game changer. I have all of MA stuff for the TS12 and the buttpad has provided the best benefit in my opinion.
      To tell you the truth they’re about the same. Both chokes have a little bit of recoil and muzzle rise mitigation but not much. They both look cool though, and that’s the most important thing behind being safe and effective with your firearm is looking cool🤙🏾
      The Carlson’s choke has the teeth on the end for breaching doors or muzzle punching zombaliens in the face so if I were to reach real real far out there to split hairs, I’d say the Carlson’s choke has more utility…. If you’re going to be breaching doors and muzzle punching zombaliens in the face.
      Aesthetically I like the Carlson’s one more, the MA choke is a little big to me, but I can also see how someone could think the opposite looks better.
      All up to you my friend, and either will be awesome because it’s YOUR gun🤙🏾🤙🏾🤙🏾

      Aloha nō!
      MY TS12 came with an Improved Cylinder, and a Modified Choke. I expect they all come with these chokes, but I’m not entirely sure, as another subscriber wrote me privately to say the screws holding his TS12 together were a different type than mine when I made the “complete teardown” video

      Aloha nō my friend thanks for checking out the video!
      My bolt was locked open when I thumbed my followers (you can watch the bolt drop a few seconds afterwards). I’m not very good at making these videos, so most of the time I end of filming and re-filming, then re-re-filming… it’s a terrible process.
      Im pretty sure that I stuck my thumb into the chamber before I hit the tubes and I think you can see it in the video, but it’s been a really long time since I made this video; I can’t remember.
      Nonetheless, I will be more careful and do a better job in the future to make it more apparent for
      myself and for viewers
      Thanks for the input! And I hope you have a great long weekend🤙🏾

    *_The Truth_* about the IWI Tavor TS12 *no gun industry reviewer talks about:*
    The IWI *TS12* is VERY ammo sensitive and so you must test each & every type, brand, size, i.e. everything that you will use in the shotgun to make sure it works.
    God bless

    • @PeaK808
      @PeaK808  3 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Aloha nō my friend! Thanks for the input!
      You are absolutely correct, it’s important to try out different loads to see what works best and then stick with those.
      I’m still in the LONG process of editing my “2k rounds later” video, and I hope to get that out in the next few weeks. I’m pretty confident in saying that I’ve become well-versed in the operation and practical employment of the TS12, as I e had mine for over a year and have put over 2 thousand shells through it.
      With that prefaced, I do agree with you that one must run different loads and then stick with what works, but I wouldn’t say that the TS12 is “very Ammo sensitive”
      IWI specifies that for the platform to run reliably, one must use shells that are at least 1 1/8 oz with a muzzle velocity of at least 1200FPS. In my experience, as long as I’ve stayed within those specs (there are MANY different loads within these parameters) and kept my TS12 clean, I’ve had perfect reliability.
      Thank you for the valuable info for our little community, and I hope you have a great week!

      Aloha nō! Thanks for the insight and criticism; there have been several others who have sent me DMs on Instagram or commented saying similar things.
      Right now I don’t have a lot as far as production and editing (I run everything off my phone and a microphone I got on Amazon) so when I render videos the sound often ends up very different on my phone vs a computer vs a television.
      As I’m able to get better at filming, editing, and producing, I’m hoping to be able to afford better equipment to create better content.
      I appreciate your input, and I’m thinking from now into the immediate future I’ll be omitting music from instructional videos.
      Have a great weekend🤙🏾

      I think you're making the right decision on the music. Learning about how a weapon operates is serious business, and music just distracts.
      I wanted to learn more about the "carrier release lever" on my TS12, since the manual doesn't cover it much, but I had trouble understanding a lot of what you said due to the music volume. I do think you answered my question in the video (5:23) - it just releases a round from the magazine to the lifter, right?
      If you plan to keep producing videos for the long term, I can recommend Sony Vegas Pro, which I've used for years. It's not free or cheap, but it's full of features you can use to produce truly professional quality videos in most any format you want, and do it without spending a lot of time reading the user manual. ;)
      Video's just a hobby for me, but my gear now is a Sony FDR-AX1 4K videocam and Senheiser EW 100 G3 wireless mic system.
      You enjoy your weekend too!

      I’m going to reshoot this video w/o music.
      Again I really appreciate the feedback, when I started my channel and moving into the future, I wanted this to be a place where ideas, information can be shared and we all have the capacity, capability, and opportunity for interaction and to make each other BETTER.
      Thanks for sharing something with me that will make me better at this.
      Yes the carrier stop drops a round from the active tube onto the lifter. If your tubes are empty and you’re dry firing or working on your tool, this lever sets up the bolt to be locked back.
      I will check out your recommendations on equipment and software. I’m down for investing in setups and such, so again, really appreciate the insights
