    Great video as usual.
    Carlson's "Tactical Breacher Choke" also has a new version called the "Tactical Breacher Muzzle Brake Choke". It's worth noting the Tactical Beacher Muzzle Brake comes in 2 types... Cylinder, and Extra-Full. So if you're a 00-buck kind of guy and don't run slugs you can get a cool brake with a decent pattern. Definitely the coolest choke I have... although the JMAC Customs Muzzle Break is on my hit list some day.
    One thing I'd mention is that some external/extended muzzle chokes do not fit with the factory barrel nut. The IWI TS12 barrel nut has a small lip on the end that prevents some wider choke tubes from fitting through it. You either can't get the nut over the tube when installed, or you can't install the choke tube fully when the barrel nut is in place. The Manicore Arms Muzzle Break nut fixes that issue, and opens up a huge amount of choke tube options you can't use otherwise (or you can machine/grind/sand down the lip I suppose). Some extended choke tubes do fit through... but not all.

      That’s one thing about the TS12 to keep in mind if you’re considering it’s purchase is that it has very little third party/aftermarket support, but I am also happy to see that companies such as MA have stepped in to give us more options; I’m hoping that this will be a growing trend🤙🏾

    The Buck Kicker from Kicks chokes has performed great on mine. Doesn't work for slugs but I have gotten great spread reduction with 00, #4 and birdshot. Just to add the gun is so much fun to shoot the weight just disappears when you get into a rhythm.

    I can't imagine many people complaining about the weight. Yes. It's a LITTLE hefty but, it's a shotgun. So, take that complaint with a grain of salt. Also, it's a bullpup. Which means that the weight is pretty centered. So, as you mentioned, the traverse is pretty great.

    Great video as usual. You and ATTAK consulting have the best TS-12 videos. I'm looking at either getting this shotgun or the Beretta 1301 tactical. Any opinions? I like the high capacity and bullpup factor of the TS-12, but I'm thinking the Beretta might have a better gas system and be more reliable. Looking forward to the 10k review.

    • @PeaK808
      @PeaK808  2 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      Mahalo for checking out my video and for the kind words🙏🏽 yes, ATTAK consulting has some very good content, I’m hoping to do some sort of collaboration with him in the future as I think it’d be a lot of fun and have great informative potential.
      I have a Beretta 1301 from Langdon Tactical and it’s awesome. I know this piece of advice probably won’t help too much in your decision between the two, but they are both excellent platforms and in my opinion, it comes down to what kind of experience you want.
      They are both very reliable, though I do think the 1301 will operate over a larger spectrum of ammunition. Though it’s important to note in this aspect that the TS12 (in my experience) is also extremely reliable as long as you follow the recommendations from IWI in running at least 1 1/8oz at 1200 fps (with a few exceptions). There are MANY different loads to choose from within these parameters, so where some people have said the TS12 is picky with ammunition, over 10000 rounds in MY experience, I disagree. It won’t run EVERYTHING, but you have a very broad selection of what it will run.
      I will say that the 1301 doesn’t need to be cleaned nearly as often as the TS12 (in my experience). I have yet to clean my 1301 with about 1200 rounds through it, while my TS12 needs cleaning every 700 rounds or so. My 1301 does need to be cleaned though because I can tell that it’s cycling slower.
      The 1301 is more of a traditional semi auto shotgun whose manual of arms will apply across many other shotgun platforms and vice versa. The TS12 on the other hand, isn’t complicated by any means, but it’s so unique that nothing really carries of to, or from it to another platform.
      The 1301 is lighter, and cycles faster for what that’s worth. The TS12, while heavier, is more lively and faster pointing because of its shorter overall length.
      You will be super stoked with either firearm and they’re about the same price, it just depends on what you want.
      If I HAD to pick one, it’s be the TS12 for its flexibility, utility, and because it’s so different and unique, and I’m into that, but I truly love my 1301 as well.

I have them on all of my defensive shotguns. 7 round cards because as you know with the TS-12 and the KSG25 you definitely need at least 14 more shells on board. Is that the Eotech you're running ? I'm not sure if you know this ( probably) but if you remove the little plastic cap at the end of the mag tube and just let the spring go to the end of the screw on cover it will increase capacity by 1 and the 1301 will still run like a champ. I put a Phoenix telescoping AR style stock on my 500. It has a built in 5 rd. side saddle. Then I put a 7 rd. Esstac card on the reciever. 7+1 and 12 on the gun. For zombies. :-)

      When you say bolt pins I’m not sure if you’re referring to the pin holding the bolt and bolt carrier together, or the pin for removing the butt pad in order to access the bolt carrier for cleaning?
      Regardless, I can only speak for the one I own, and I have over 20000 rounds through mine with no issues, other than those that have arisen because of the system being dirty and needing to be cleaned, leading to FTE and FTF.
      I was advised by IWI to change the springs at 20k rounds, which I have yet to do, but am planning on getting done once I start seeing regular issues.

    • @PeaK808
      @PeaK808  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@iz3866 I’m sure it’s a combination of the two. Like I said in the video, I initially went to the MACH because I found myself going to the charging handle a lot once my TS12 started getting real dirty; it’s easier to find, easier to grip because of the slightly longer length and more aggressive stippling.
      Regardless as to whether you’re running the stock CH or not, the esstac shotgun cards can really be placed anywhere you can get a good connection, so one could place the loop side of the Velcro lower on the frame as to interfere less with the charging handle, it’s really up to the end user🤙🏾

    What red dot sight are you using, or would you recommend for the TS12? I'm looking at adding a Holosun 510 series with the multi reticle system.

    • @PeaK808
      @PeaK808  ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Aloha nō! Thanks for checking out the video🤙🏾
      I’ve tried multiple optics on my TS12 and have more or less settled on an Eotech EXPS-2-0 which Is a holographic sight, not a red dot, as I feel the reticle, combined with the large and clear glass lends themselves to very fast target acquisition and transition with this shotgun.
      I can only recommend optics that I have personally used enough to form an opinion on, and so I cannot say much for any of the Holosun optics as I haven’t used one beyond a range session or two on students’ or instructors’ firearms.
      If you’re looking for something on the budget end of the spectrum, the Sig Romeo 5 is great in my experience.
      I’ve run one on my 870 police for years, not treating it very well as the gun was cheap as a police trade in. I regularly THROW that shotgun into the bed of my truck without a care, I’ve run it over with my truck accidentally and have dropped it optic first onto rocks while climbing over walls and fences several times; the optic has deep scars in the aluminum housing, the turret caps are bent and I’ve never lost zero.
      The XDR is probably just as good but I don’t have as much time with that version of the Romeo as I do with the Romeo 5.
      Primary Arms makes great prisms; I have the SLX cyclops on a few rigs and ran one in my TS12 for about 3 months. It is sturdy, the glass is clear, it comes with all the mounts you need to get started and most of all, the ACSS reticle has a TON of utility, and I feel is a fast optic on the TS12.
      Trijicon RMRs are great but getting up there in the price as are the aim point T2s. Set it and forget it, though I’ve moved away from open reflex sights like the RMR because debris can get into the emitter, which I’ve had happen with mud.
      I like the eotech the best, and I hope my answer helps you somewhat.
      Have a great weekend🤙🏾

    Can this gun be used by a lefty w/o getting hit by ejected shells , or should I shop for a LH one.

    • @PeaK808
      @PeaK808  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Aloha e my friend thanks for checking out the video.
      It depends where you set your chin/cheek weld as to how often you get hit by ejecting hulls. I am predominantly a left handed long gunner, but because I also often have new shooters /students using my firearms I only buy right handed guns as the majority of people are right handed.
      Also, in my crazy, inconceivable, way way out there preparedness mind, in the event something catastrophic happens and it’s the end of the world situation, most firearms one will come across in the wild will be right handed platforms, so I feel as a left handed shooter, I should be able to proficiently, seamlessly, and easily use any right handed gun.
      When I shoot the TS12 with MY natural head position/chin weld I get hit once in a while but it’s only slightly noticeable and easily ignored BY ME, your mileage may vary.
      I would say if you are a left handed shooter and almost always are the only person using the firearm, I would shop for a LH model.
      I hope this helps

      I have no personal experience with their muzzle brake, but I’m sure it’s a quality product.
      Like I’ve told many other people who have PMed me about brakes for the TS12 and such, the truth is, in my opinion, it’s really not necessary by any means of practicality; the TS12 is very soft shooting and controllable for a 12ga, but if you wanna get those cool points with the brakes, by all means get it!

      Yes, you’re on the right track; remove the barrel nut, and then use the choke wrench included with your TS12 (I’m sure any beretta/benelli choke wrench would work) then remove the factory choke that comes installed. Screw in your new choke and get to blastin’ 🤙🏾

      I have a tendency of making my videos too long by going off topic instead of staying focused. Something that didn’t make the final cut to this video was the reason why I didn’t mention what optic I’m running.
      I wanted to keep to accessories specifically for the TS12 and/or shotguns, as one thing the TS12 DOESNT have going for it at this time (it has gotten better) is aftermarket and 3rd party support.
      Also, it’s my opinion (which isn’t worth much, I’m just some guy on the internet after all) that optics are such a personal preference for shooters, and had I started talking about my optic, that would have been another video all together.
      I’m planning on doing a video about this optic on this shotgun and why, but it just didn’t make sense to me including it in this video.
      In case you didn’t see it couldn’t tell in the video, it’s an EOTech EXPS-2-0

      @@natoshi_sakamoto absolutely, I’m glad to help out and having conversations like this as well as creating a space for people to talk about firearms and share information about the lifestyle are some of the main reasons why I started this channel.
      Since we’re talking about it already, I chose the EXPS2 because I like having the option of being able to remove my optic if I need to, as well as appreciate the higher mount height.
      The EOTech is fast, but the most important thing FOR ME is that it is a true holographic optic, and as someone with severe astigmatism and Keratoconus, the reticle remains stable and clear to me instead of blowing out or shattering like a lot of true RDOs do, again, for me, because of the condition of my eyes.
      I like the added benefit of being able to do rough range funding through the EOTech’s reticle, and, though I’m not “married” to any one platform or piece of equipment (I will use whatever works best for me) my experience with multiple EOTech optics have been great and it’s what I like to use on this set up.
      I’ve tried RMR type 2, Burris Fastfire 3, Romeo 5, Romeo 5 XDR, aimpoint T2, primary arms cyclops, vortex sparc II, Romeo 4, aimpoint acro, and a few others, but with this platform I’ve always come back to the EOTech
