No issues with the sound here.
I've been driving out of Plainview Texas and we get alot of miles here.
Add a little activity and the day averages out to 375 to 430. I have only been driving about a month out of training.
I appreciate your videos and use it as a continuing training tool.

Great video! I recently applied for a driving position. I live in NC and have been driving for a foodservice and grocery distributor for over 22yrs. It's a very physically demanding job I unload every piece on the truck. I have a clean driving record for those 22 yrs I'm hoping I land a spot with walmart I'm approaching 50 yrs of age and I'd love to finish my next 15 yrs getting paid to be a great driver and not have to unload! I did get an email from walmart to set up a time for a phone interview can't wait to see where this leads. Thanks for your great information about this job its very helpful!

That's awesome! My best advice at this point is to listen to everything they tell you and do it exactly the way they say when it comes to the onboarding. Once you're done with all that you'll be hired and the fun part begins. I guarantee you won't regret making The move to Walmart. You'll probably ask the same question of yourself that everyone else does and that is why didn't I do this years ago. Congratulations on the phone call back.

Thanks for the reply! Just curious my phone call is scheduled next Tuesday I never put a reference when I applied. Can I still use you as a referral when I get the call?

@@JeremiahJohnson-cn4zb Yes you can just let them know that you forgot to put it in and ask them if you can change it with them right there being ready with the information of course.

i haul crude oil get paid by the hour i maybe drive 170 mi a day home every night its not bad just doing the same exact thing gets boring

That's why I'm not a fan of set runs. A lot of our guys would rather just do the same thing everyday. If I did that I would probably not like my job anymore.

What Walmart D.C. in Spokane, Washington, by me

The closest DC to Spokane would be Grandview Washington or Hermiston Oregon.

Next time I'll have to wear my little external mic because the background was a little overpowering in this video.

I live in Redding and about to get into trucking. (Coming off disability) 5 on and 5 off sounds great for me. I live alone with 3 dogs and one of them is 14. Your local activity circle sounded great. I'd love to be able to land something like that where I never have to leave my dogs outside/alone for more than a day or two. Is this possible with a newbi Class A? Thanks for the videos. Subscribed.

We do have some guys that just run local and go home every night but there's not very many positions like that at a Red Bluff. As a newbie truck driver you would have to get 30 months experience in a semi truck before they would consider hiring you.

Occasionally they'll give you a run that requires driving let's say 800 mi but generally your average is somewhere between 150 and 350 mi away.

i dont understand why everybody is so in love with a walmart drivimg job lol they pay slightly more than ur typical mega carrier buut it really isnt that much more money. tha pay structure jus different than ontop of that sll those dumb ass stipulations u have to do to even work there for what an extra 10k max a year compared to somewhere else smh...fools gold ill tell ya

Im gonna be honest, i was getting about 8-1100 a day at walmart as a dedicated driver for about 12yrs every fall amd winter in 2011 it was $800 and as time went by it went up with landstar. The benefits that these guys get is unbelievable. U can go to college for free, u get equivalent to 4 weeks of vacation upfront as far as 21 days of pto and working 5 days, you get about 11 surgeries if needed 100% taken care of including great cheap nedical, dental, and vision, u get their pharmacy meds at a discount, u get a 10% discount card for everyday purchases including 35% i believe 2 times a year, of course bereavement, short term, long term disability, xmas and thanx off, u will
Work all year because again walmart and amazon is the number 1amd2 retailers in the world there isnt a slow month or time, u get top notch income for a regional job that only goes about 600 miles away from home where u can get home maybe 1-2 times in a 5 day period. No touch freight, u can get ur 401k matched at dollar for dollar, so every dollar u put u get a 110% gain right away due the match and 10% gain on targeted funds. I dont even know jobs who are offering a dollar for dollar match plus u get to putchase Walmart stock at 15% off. Walmart stocks has gained an avg of 12% for the last 36 years. So ur buying shares that dont plummet and u are buying it at a 27% off discount with the 15% discount and the 12% growth off top, and the reason why most drivers are millionaires after 18-22 yrs there. U get $2500 to help other drivers there for referrals, u get close to 1k a qtr for saftey bonuses. So if u can get 2 guys in plus your safety bonus, and ur a fresh driver at 105k base(i was just given a offer letter yesterday for 105k in texas) that is 119k your first year. Im sorry name me another job that is giving these benefits. I was making after taxes and expenses about 3100 a week at walmart as an independent and if i had medical, and etc ill be making the same as walmart drivers. I have been independent for 16years, and i now know i made a Mistake. I have no reason to pump walmart up, but i think u have been misled. Those guys who work at walmart never leave, and the one who do are guys who wants to run their own programs. And most guys who leave they come back.

I appreciate that! Those aren't bad wages for being relatively new. I should probably be mentioning my wages are based on working here for 17 years so it will be a bit higher than a lot of the new guys. I appreciate you watching my videos and I'll do my best to get some useful information out here.
