    How does the Walmart employees unload a drop truck in the pouring rain with no steps to get in and out of the trailer to use the hand trucks to pull the load to the end of the truck for the fortlift driver to be able to pick it up

    I'm on 6/2 schedule out of Palestine, TX 6036. Meaning i work 5 1/2 days and off 2 1/2 days.

    Hey, can someone break down the 5/2 schedule because I think 5/2 means the same five days and then off the same two days every week but I know guys on a 5/2 schedule that are off on different days at random times throughout the year without using PTO.

    I’m trying my hardest to get into the A2D program never drove a truck before so honestly really nervous getting behind the wheel. I’m nervous about backing and turning the the truck and making sure the trailer clears on turns. But I’m more nervous about the pretrip. I’ve watch many videos of one and seems so extensive and so much to learn.I’ve see when you take your cdl test that during the pretrip you have to announce everything your inspecting and the conditions. That seems so overwhelming. But I do understand how important a pretrip is, your in control of a massive vehicle so safety is important. So the pre trip scares me

      Does anyone know what the interview is like for the associate to driver program? It’s not like I have a cdl truck driving experience I can mention . I used to work for a frozen food delivery company that delivered food to peoples homes but all I needed was my regular license. But I did need a DOT card and had to follow certain regulations but I was home every night. Also had to a pretrip and post trip.

    I may be mistaken but I thought I saw a Walmart day cab truck. Those trucks are used on home daily routes and schedules.

    • @walmartprofessionaldriver
      @walmartprofessionaldriver  ปีที่แล้ว

      We do have them. My DC is seniority based. Some DCs near big cities you can get day cab day one. That's basically all they have some places.

    • @jenniferclark7149

    Maybe a silly question but, if you're overnight and sleep in your truck...you don't get paid for any of that?

  • @jasongrob165

    Do you get to take truck home on your home time or have to drive back to dc and then drive home?

    Does PTO include holidays or is that separate?

  • @hectorfernandez6748

    At what rate do you get paid on your PTO days?

    • @walmartprofessionaldriver
      @walmartprofessionaldriver  หลายเดือนก่อน

      0 to 24 months you get 21 days plus 4 safety days, 1 per quarter. So 25 days. Then it's 30 total days till the 5 years mark. It caps at like 40 days after 15 years or something like that. And usually 10 to 11 months to earn all your days

  • @jeromeking701

    Do you get all the PTO right when you're hired? Like you were hired in January so did u automatically have 21 days of PTO?

    great vids ! With your 5/2 schedule, how much do you spend on showers at truck stops and is this a tax deduction or does it not go over the standard tax deduction?
