    Nice topic John!
    Up here at Grantsville 7026 we service the entire Intermountain range. That's all of Utah and Idaho, eastern Oregon, western Montana, western Colorado and Eastern Nevada.
    While we aren't responsible for any stores in California, I'm there at least twice a month. Very familiar with the Colton DC you mentioned. As well as the Jarupa Valley yard (not a fan)
    We service a few stores up here that are over 700 miles from the DC.
    Lots of miles up here!

      @@gino.MG-UT I'm on a 5-2 schedule. The pay is very doable, many drivers make well over that. I have videos on my channel about it.

      @@d.sandell2555 Walmart does have a chain policy, however it's not strictly mandatory. If the situation is too bad, you have the authority to shut down instead. This is trusted to us, so it's best not to abuse it.

    Hurricane UT 6029 It’s a fashion DC here so our first load for the week is a dock drop to another DC. After that just helping out whatever DC you’re at for the rest of week. The farthest is probably Hermiston OR or Loveland CO. I’ve been up to Spokane WA, across to Casper WY basically cover the whole west and every DC surrounding. Porterville, Apple valley , red bluff. Seen em all in just 4 months. Great miles, great people and culture

    Phil - Sacramento 6889/7186 - I've been with Walmart for 10 months, Basically Sac was started to supplement McCarran NV DC as Sac is basically a relay yard and a spot to store tractors. So my general week is from NorCal to McCarran NV and back to stores in NorCal. I have been sent to Vegas a couple of times, SoCal 1/2 a dozen times, Oregon 1/2 times, Tecoma Washington once, Missoula MT once. Over-all though, it's mainly NorCal stores

      I've done work for the following DC's, McCarran, Red Bluff, Porterville, Shafter, Apple Valley, Hermiston, Grantsville of coarse Sacramento. As John stated, we go where they dispatch us. They always route you with enough time to get home on go-home day.

    I work out of Palestine TX 6036. I go all over TX. Alot of time in DFW and Houston but I've to NM, OK, KS, ARK, MS, LA. We do overlap coverage areas. Just this week alone i was in DFW, Ark, and Ok. Did about 3k on miles averaging 500+ miles a day. It really depends on which TX DC you get sent to from move to another. Sanger Tx 6068 will send you to Ok. Plainview TX DC 6012 will send you up into Ks, Colorado and Missouri or NM. Palestine TX 6036 will send you everywhere. I have no clue from one to the next where I'm going or where I'll end up for the night.

And you’re right down the street from me I’m in Tobyhanna looking to get more direct information about this DC Or at least the north east period.

    • @walmartprofessionaldriver
      @walmartprofessionaldriver  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      There are plenty of places to put chains on off the freeway and Nothing says you have to wait till the last minute like all the idiots. Walmart gives up live up to date information on our tablets that tells us where the controls are. So I like to get off the freeway about 10 to 20 miles early and do mine safely. Also they pay us $60 every time. It's really not that bad. And we also have special crews out on Donner that are there to assist us. They are Walmart only chain assistants and we all have there phone numbers if we want them to come help us

    There teasing you because your new ,when I got hired in 1995 we covered all Arizona, Nevada up to Utah ,all Oregon and Washington.,after they built other DCs they cut the area after Apple valley was built we wound up all week in Los Angela's picking up apple valley's garbage while there drivers got the longer runs when I was hired I averaged 3200 miles a week when by the time I retired in 2018 I struggled to get 1800 miles a week we spent 85 percent of our time in Las Angela's traffic, they make it look good when your new but after a few years they'll start screwing you none of the original drivers in porterville are still there ,they either retired quit transferred a few got fired on purpose and atleas 15 of the drivers died.most were in there 50s,
