I work for a trucking company. We actually were just selected as one of the companies to start doing a training program for 18 year olds to go over the road. Alot of opportunities coming along in this industry that is for sure! great interview. I do want to say there is a reason it pays so well there are sacrifices with this career and as long as you are ok with that you can make a great living.

After 21st successful years of running my own Trucking company and making millions I can say this video is on point. Strating a Trucking company is not an easy task, you need a lot of paperwork, knowledge and large understanding to run the business. I can say the basic problem to start a trucking business is capital. To get started with Trucking business you need a large sum of money as your working capital and a minimum of $50,000 in your maintenance account before making you final decision of joining the business because anything can go wrong anything, and you have to be prepared for it. But do you know you can get a governmental Grant of over $300,000 to start a trucking business. I came to know about this few years ago and it has been helped my company a lot. I get a governmental grant support every six months. Getting a Governmental Grant should be your first motive before proceeding to join the business. I wish every Trucker out there a successful and profitable business Week.

I definitely call BS, he didn't start from nothing. Parents are probably filthy rich. He reminds me of a 20 year old guy in Florida that I started working for, the guy had this huge lawn- landscaping business, I mean he had so many trucks, mowers, high dollar equipment and not to mention he was a straight up prick. He tried to act like he knew it all and started from nothing. But from somebody like me that was in lawn care almost 10 years it was clear he didn't start the business from the ground up. Come to find out his rich grandparents had basically bought him all the equipment and he had only done it maybe a year if that and it showed big time.

That’s good but how much did you retire with ? Think your business would stand up to different more stringent regulations nowadays ? Can’t cheat the system with paper logs anymore . Plus your working with a bad economy now plus a covid economy no matter how much people want to deny it.
I’m a fleet owner myself. I’m very sharp in this business and it’s very very hard nowadays to run good numbers. The freight rates have dropped significantly and it’s extremely competitive . Broker rates are cut throat and payoffs to get those “sweet loads “ from the brokers are high.
Too much expense too much regs to barley break even now. A lot has changed since the 80s.
But good for you that it worked out for you.
I’d like to see this kids numbers. I don’t think he may be doing well as he says he does. It’s alot of fast talking.
Hope he doesn’t get married someday . A divorce from a gold digging woman in a divorce will liquidate everything . I took a bad hit like that . I finally just closed my doors last year thanks to her and alot of other things.

This video is spot on and amazing to see people my age doing this as well. My biggest struggle was finding drivers at first but now I have many interested and no trucks anywhere for a decent price. Covid prices on trucks are still here and rates are low with high diesel prices. Anybody looking to get started I’d encourage you, I started with a 500k mile fleet owned Volvo that cost me 35k. Won’t get those prices any more but heres the takeaway. Stay under 500k miles so you still have a warranty(make sure you do). Make some money on that truck and don’t screw people over and be cheap on repairs. Drivers come and go but treat everyone right along with your trucks and you’ll retire early! Just my two cents

I wouldn't complain the only thing that I dislike is that no mention or realistic backbone of help he had from parents connects and all some kids probably gonna have this dream and be like oh wow I can do this! and their parents are drunks or druggies barely making it, he decides to blow a 30k loan on a truck or his last ditch effort ends up failing and might be depressed or take his own life in a fortnite game.
my neighbor did this started a landscaping business and ended up taking his own after it didn't work out.. it's sad but it happens so much around me it's hard to keep dreaming when it's not always the full story or truth rag to riches are usually bs, 1%, or connects and money.

First off, I would like to congratulate you and the entire team on making it up to 500k subscribers. That is a huge, huge achievement. There is still a long way to go. I subbed to this amazing channel back when it had just 60k subs. I have been here since almost a year now. Time flies by for sure.
I don't have a lot to say about this video since it's pretty technical. I'm not really a huge fan of trucks. I will say, however, that I want you guys to get back to this guy and see how he's doing in a couple years. This guy definitely thinks big and I love that. He is such a huge inspiration. I have started my affiliate marketing and already made $7k in just 6 months. It's nothing compared to the amount of money he makes, but we will get there for sure.
Kudos to you guys again. You are doing such an amazing job. Can you please make the vending machine video (I believe you made one) go live? I would love that. Thanks.
Also, what happened to the Q&A bliz? You didn't do it this time. Why? I was interested in knowing what books he reads, if any.
Looking forward to a next video of yours ;). When is it coming?
I noticed the last video was deleted, which is kind of a bummer since I didn't get to watch it all in time.

Something is fishy - notice how they gloss over the "how did you get started" part and jump into other data. When he said "Insurance is your biggest cost, I spend $100k on insurance a yr" most people would be like "Ok hold up. How the f*** did you get that kind of money to start with?" Clearly the kid had help. He mentioned his friend who had a trucking business. I guarantee you his friends family helped set this kid up or he had a wealthy parent to guarantee things like loans and/or insurance. Total start up costs were likely well over $200k and 19 yr olds don't have that lying around from running a paper route. Also how did he get loads? FROM HIS FRIEND - who was likely going through and expansion. Sure the kid had to work hard to realize the full potential of all that help but come on.....no one starts a biz like this and jumps to making $150/mo in revenue.......this is just like so many self-help books on the market. They tell a great story that's impossible for most to repeat because they don't have the same backing and/or opportunities.
