Congrats on the new baby. FMLA & CFRA, PFL are all programs to use when needing time off to take care of family members or to bond with new baby or adopted children
My first year at gemini I get 25 days off , local home everyday off Friday and Saturday. . It’s rare but Walmart isn’t the only one with unheard of PTO
I hired in 2014 took 3 weeks off for my Son in 2015 used the 50% of the family leave used EDD for the rest of my pay take home stayed the same. It's true on the PTO I have already used 26 PTO day's this year I still have 10 day's left and a Safty day. The stock works like a saving account I put in $45 a check it adds up over time when you need that extra cash. Working out of 6021 is good once you get on a program or get your own truck its a great place to be at. The 5 day work schedule with the same 2 days off every week. Like I have said and you also there is no other better place.
Well said. Thanks for the comment. The more insight and information the better! I forgot to mention the 10 roll over days lol. Video title should say 95 days. 😄
Thanks John. Hope you had a great Thanksgiving also. I'm just about to get out there and see what kind of traffic I can get stuck in today on black Friday
Don’t forget to take the other 2 weeks to care for your wife I had a baby last year so I took a total of 8 weeks I took 2weeks before the baby was born and the other 6 weeks after the baby born
Just remember that if you are off for more than 30 days you have to do that "AIMS" refresher course in Apple Valley and if you are off during rebid you can not bid on a shift for next year's rotation.
I’ve been enjoying your videos for the last month and I have a chance to go to on boarding in two weeks. The differences this will be for a local driver position in Shelby North Carolina and I cannot find much information on the Internet on local driving positions for Walmart. I am currently working Monday through Friday at $30 an hour with medical dental and vision but not much other benefits. Can you tell me more about the local driver position or do you think it would be worth a switch?
As far as I know it's the same as what I'm doing just miles with differ depending on the area. All the same benefits I talk about. Get your foot in the door and if you want to switch to a sleeper just talk to management
Thanks for watching. Let me know how on boarding goes. I'm curious if there are any major changes compared to what I talked about in my onboarding video. Thanks
It's a limited program as far as I know. And where they do have it I heard 1000 plus person wait list. So if you want to drive just go get your license and make more money than the warehouse and then when you get 30 months experience come to Walmart for the big bucks
Drive4walmart.com is the only way to apply. I recommend using a desktop or laptop. If cell phone turn location settings off. Then search your area. Google Walmart distribution center near me. And then search for that on on the website. If it doesn't come up that DC may not be hiring at the moment
It's different for everyone based off age, smoker, and it's not a flat rate for adding people,I know it's way cheaper for just myself. But I'm 32 non smoker and I have currently just myself and my daughter on this plan. I pay $46.70 every 2 weeks for a kaiser HMO bronze plan. And $10.59 per 2 weeks for a $1 million life insurance policy.
Mostly drop and hook sometimes you wait for the store to unload you. Depends on the load and if you work out a a grocery or gm DC. Gm has more drop and hook loads
my company after 6 years gives me 13 days paid vacation and no sick time and 5 holiday paid days at a whopping 150 buck ha ha beat that.and 401 k they match a whopping 50% of 4 % HAHA LOL
Ouch but that is better than my first job. Job had a cap at 2 weeks paid vacation and 3 sick days. No 401k no extra holiday pay. So you think about coming to Walmart?
@@walmartprofessionaldriver Yeah I've been thinking about it I actually had Orientation set up a year ago but I chickendout. Just scared to leave something you've been doing for so long . I do make a good salary even though the benefits suck
@@tinman6922 I hear ya. It's a little stressful for a few weeks but man think of the paid home time your missing out on. If you ever want to set up a phone call and go over all the details of what to expect at on boarding send me an email @ Walmartpd21@gmail.com. And if you do decide to apply, use me as a referral. I wouldn't quit your job before on boarding like they ask you too. No reason to be extra stressed out.

Ya. I still haven't done Aims so I'm already due for it when I return. And my return to work date is February 4th so I'll be good for bids too

I took 3 months off and no refresher was required in FL

To drive for Walmart, I heard you can also work in the DC'S and they will hire you. Is that true? I am thinking on applying at one of the DC'S.

I'm decent driver. Good experience and clean license. I would like to apply Wal-Mart. I tried online but unsucced. Any advise how can I apply.

Also I made a video about this if you scroll back
How much is the health insurance?

Do you guys get paid weekly or biweekly?
Bi weekly
Do you have to unload the truck or do you drop and go?
Mostly drop and hook sometimes you wait for the store to unload you. Depends on the load and if you work out a a grocery or gm DC. Gm has more drop and hook loads
Does the discount work at Sam's?
I don't think so. That's one complaint I have is that we don't get a free sams membership
Hey John is the 12 week program only for employees?
Yes DC and fulfillment center workers at select locations for now
@@walmartprofessionaldriver I’m in New York so I gotta go to PA or Delaware . Do they help u get your permit or st the CDL license

I don’t work for Walmart . Just wanna get the Proper steps to become a truck driver for the company. And the requirements for the program.
How is the drug test with Walmart drivers ?
Normal dot pre hire urine test and then dot randoms after that. Walmart won't test your unless your in an accident
@@walmartprofessionaldriver thanks for the reply
How many years do you need to apply? I have 2.5 years.
Look at the video I made last week. It breaks down all the requirements

Great Bubba, but they’re screwing the single workers to give you Chubbo’s the paid time off. N
