Thank you for the great review. I considered both the S8 and the S7 and went with the S7. With a mix of very low pile carpets and wooden floors in our house, the S7 performs great, and the extra cost of the S8 didn't seem justified. Based on the many reviews on TH-cam, the Ecovacs Deebot X1 Omni seemed a great second choice, especially with the much lower price tag. Coming from an S6 that I've used for 3+ years with excellent service, and seeing Roborock's product development helped me decide. The only gripe is there is no warning when the onboard dust bin is full. A drying attachment is available for the S7 for about $100, but since I only mop the entire house once a week, I just remove the mop head, throw it in the washer, and let it air dry. No odor problems. Emptying the dirty water container after a mop job, rinsing it with water and adding a few drops of disinfectant eliminates another source of odor. Based on other reviews, I understood the S8 was better on carpeting, especially in homes with dogs or cats who are always shedding. This review may question that assumption. Since we don't have dogs or cats, that made the S7 a better choice for us. It's a wild market these days with lots of robots out there that do a variety of things. Reviews like this help people choose the model that's best for their needs and that meet their budgets. Thanks again for your hard work and presentation!
I am in the same boat as you , with a house without carpets, so I got the S7 MaxV Ultra.. I bought the drying accessory for the dock, though. It works great!

@@user-bl4lf9rg8m If you have carpeting, you may find the S8 performs better with pet hair. I'm also hearing that people who bought the S7 are buying the roller brush for the Roborock Q5. This is a brush roller, unlike the rubber roller that comes with the S7. The brush roller seems to greatly improve the S7s carpet vacuuming ability. As with ANY robot, if you have shedding animals in your home, be sure to check the roller, spinning brush and wheels to avoid hair tangles and poor performance.
One thing to note when comparing the S7 MaxV Ultra to the S8 Pro Ultra is that when you did your navigation tests on the S7, the navigation system probably didn't have the navigation system updates that it now has with the S8. Just something to keep in mind with the software updates that older models have gotten in the time since.
I picked one of these up and set it loose just a couple days ago; I'd ordered it long before this video came out in anticipation of it's awesomeness. Mopping is as mentioned, fantastic! Better than my Braava Jet, so I'm glad I can put that thing away! The vacuuming though, to be honest, my previous Neato D10 did a better job in a single pass on hardwood floors. (I have a Roomba S9+ for the carpets upstairs, and it's fantastic too.) The rest of the features blow the poor D10 out of the water though. Only thing I might add is that this robot sure talks alot! Scares my 2-yr-old daughter!
I’ve bought three shark vac types based on his review and they are spot on. He does summarize in detail about the pros and cons and budget of vaccum models and is on point. I just can’t see myself paying over $1,000 for a robot vacuum that is not perfect. Especially, if it is weaker in suction than the Roborock Ultra S7. Shark tends to be 1-2 year behind technology improvement features compared to Roborock but their price point is a lot wallet friendlier.
One feature thats important to me is a bagless auto empty dock. I dont want to be stuck in 10 years unable to buy bags because they no longer produce them for that model. And if I was to buy such an expensive item I dont want ongoing 'subscription' costs/additional outlay all the time. Can you please highlight this a little more in the future or with comparison tests. I think one of these robots has this feature but I cant remember which
Buying bags forever is a definite negative. Having allergy problems, though, mean a sealed bag is important to me. I'm hearing that Roborock will be unveiling zippered, cloth bags that are washable and re-usable. Stay tuned!
I purchased the S8 pro Ultra and I am VERY happy with it. Yes its pricey but its so good, it cleans quickly, is quiet and is totally autonomous. Also the mop washing feature is excellent the mop still looks like brand new and I live in a very large home so it gets used often. The app has so many useful features as well. Its lightyears ahead of my Neato D7
I really wish you'd include a test score for getting over door frames (or whatever they are called in English). In Europe, there's a ton of really tall doorframes in older apartments and houses. Some of them being up to 3cm tall, but more often 2cm.
@@cwill2127 actually there's a big difference in how they are handled. My J7+ is able to climb a 3 cm doorframe after I made some minor modifications to the doorframe.
Interesting. I don’t think we have that in the US unless you’re going from a room with carpet to a room with another floor type (like wood) and it’s usually a small metal strip that’s barely noticeable. Why do old building have them over there?
This is my first robo vac. I never thought I needed one until I got two golden puppies. I was vacuuming and then mopping daily. Too much! This is such a game changer for me! I take the pups to doggie park and let the robo rock run. When I come home, spotless squeaky clean floor! It’s seriously a must for people with long hair dogs. I got the bundle and keep the stick one in my bedroom, and my only confusion with that is it says to unlock to self clean? Thank you for educating me on this vac. ❤
My only experience with robo vacs was the eufy LR30, said it could do carpet and carpet to rug, no it couldn't. Tracking was shit, kept ramming into everything ended up returning it a week later
I have a German shepherd. How well does the mop washing/cleaning deal with pet hair?? I have the iRobot vac and mop. And trust me. No matter how “clean” the floor is when the mop goes after the vac. There is pet hair on it. 2:22
I highly doubt that the carpet deep cleaning and crevice pickup results were due to operator error. You're a pro! Super disappointing that the dual roller wasn't the smoking gun to overtake iRobot for carpet cleaning. I certainly hoped it'd be. I'll stick with my S7 & S7 MaxV for now
Been watching every review on s8 pro untra since there was only one result on youtube. Waited to make a purchase decision until I saw what Vaccum Wars had to say. I think its the S7 for me. Thank you!
@@adiands850 "since there was only one result" -- that's how long I've been watching. As in, I've been watching since the first youtuber got their hands on one, when it was first released/announced, and there was only one actual result for the s8 pro ultra at that time. Since then, I've been watching every video, but waiting for vaccum wars.
@@CharlesReinmuth thanks for the explanation, I completely understand now. TBH the Vacuum Wars review has left me confused, as it seemed to reach opposite conclusions to the other reviews, on hardwood performance vs carpet and things like battery life.
@@adiands850 yeah, I agree. I went back and watched some others. I trust Vaccum Wars' standard tests. I got the feeling that many of the others were just taking the marketing at face value, and repeating what the vaccum is "supposed" to be. Like, it's "supposed" to be better because of the dual brush. So people say, "this has dual brush, which picks up better on carpet". However, vaccum wars tests everything and assumes nothing. So I feel better about their analysis. But that could just be me, or I could be wrong about some of the other videos.
YES. Well, if you care about mopping. I upgraded from N8 pro+ to dreame L10S, and It's a night and day difference when it comes to auto emptying and obstacle avoidance. In the past 2 months I've had the dreame, it got stuck twice (once by tangling up with a sock, once with a curtain) - and I have a messy home, courtesy of 3 cats and a dog. Speaking of, it never failed to auto empty the fur - a recurring problem for me on the N8. Vslam comes in handy with animals too. It's also consistently faster, quieter (now I have the robot set to run mopping&vacuuming cycle daily before my alarm clock), and gets better coverage. If you can find L10S for cheaper than the roborock, get it - It's almost the same vacuum by what I've seen in the review, and at last, a one that I can call perfect. It does what the box says.
I have the S7 Ultra with the auto water fill/drain dock (ordered from china, they dont sell it "officially" in the rest of the world). And THATS a real game changer. Never have to worry about how many times a day/week the robot mops because it always has water in the tank and also empties the waste accordingly. No going back to manual water changes after that. I would not buy the S8 and then the special fill/drain dock for it again (costs around 30% on top of the ULTRA model) just for upgraded dual brushes and a little better mop system.
Was about to upgrade from S7+ to S8U, then I saw a video about Dreame X20 last week. It can extend mops to cover edges and most corners; pretty interesting. Sadly their US variants seem to lag behind by quite some. L10 is similar to S10 overseas, and we don't even get S20 (Pro)/X10/X20. Shipping the G20 (S8U equvilant) overseas is also a viable option, consider it's about $720 not counting shipping. Adding all the cost it's still half the price comparing to S8U. The only down side might be the warranty.
Very surprised about the carpet performance. I thought it was supposed to have more suction power than any previous model? 6000 PA for the S8 , 4200 for the Q7 and 2500 for the S7 ?
to stay on the carpet better, without a doubt the solution is to place two mops, a smooth rubber one on the front to catch most of the hair and put another mop like the conventional ones, it doesn't make sense to put two identical mops, or put a mop with a brush and the system When turning, cut the hair.
as someone with ocd this seems amazing , id like for you to put more input on how clean the unit stay after multiple use , I sold my old roomba cause it pretty needed a deep clean everytime it went out lol
Two things it sounds like it's missing, at least compared to competitors: 1. Auto vacuum-full emptying (not base, but vacuum) 2. Preset cleaning zones; not just rooms. I like making the rug or near a pets cage.
@@shaggyfilms Irobot has patent on dust bin full sensor as well as carpet debris sensor, I hate Irobot so much they are holding back the entire industry
I had the same issue in my kitchen. The one area where our birds are need vacuuming 1-2 times a day. The sink/food prep might need vacuuming 2-3 times a week. The table area needs it only once a week. I divided the one room into three separate rooms which spares me the job of creating zones every time I vacuum.
I am a HUGE Roborock fan.I have had an S5 max for years and love it. With that being said I cannot being myself to spend $1,600 on a. Vacuum. That is insane. And I say this as someone that can easily afford it. I just choose not to.
Sad to hear about the lack of power.. do you think it’s something that could be changed with an additional power setting as a software update even if battery life suffers? Maybe they handicapped it because power was draining too quickly?
HOLY SHIT. We are in the future. When you show it with fast pace video it’s scary how precise it is like there’s a ghost maid nanny invisibly controlling it
Yup, no surprise here - as always, I say Roborock is the best. It's my version of Chris's Shark (his fav). Love my S7 Max blah blah Ultra. I had no idea that going against the grain caused streaking. I wonder if the S7 Max has that go-with-the-grain feature.
There's no reason Roborock can't add S8 features like this in a firmware update for the S7 MaxV. It has the exact same sensory capabilities; even more actually, with the camera. I'm hoping updates start rolling in soon.
RE: Floor Mapping When first freeing a robotic vacuum to chart the perimeter of rooms, is it best to pull away from walls as many furnishings as feasible? Seems a more accurate floor plan would result in more thorough cleaning, regardless of what’s sitting where when later sweeping and mopping. Thank you for your guidance and rigorous reviews!
I've vacuumed over a million square ft with these robots. The answer is... sometimes. Try mapping the way that requires the least effort possible first. Quick map, then clean & map if that fails, resetting each time. Use temporary no-go lines and zones for difficult areas which you observe cause the map to distort. The map will "correct" itself over time with each run. Always save a backup to restore in case your map becomes warped. You might need to partition your home into two "rooms" or put no-go lines between certain walkways or doorways. It's a bit like a game, but you can eventually get any map to be "perfect". Don't forget to save a backup.
I think that you should do the Navigational and Obstacle Avoidance Test on carpet as well, because obstacle detection might be harder on carpet? Great video by the way!
Nice video as always! Theorising why it didn't impress you when it comes to the crevices and sand - I imagine that the much larger aperture for the dual rollers would decrease the floor pressure of the suction. I think the dual rollers are better for hair and dust/fluff/lint than the S7 MaxV which I found struggled with the standard brush for some pet owners. Keep up the good work!
With Neato Robotics shutting down, I'm soon in the market to replace my D7. I don't understand why other companies have not yet taken to the D shaped design. Surprised to see that 5 years after buying my D7, it's still one of very few with this design. In this video, all the dirt was in the middle of the room. I'd like to see how vacuums do with getting into corners. The lidar tech also allows it to vacuum with very low light.
@vacuumwars Can you post on your website the scores? I am looking for one that has better mop scores but also preferably one with a “bag-less” auto empty bin. On your site now there are a select few that you list specs for.
Dreame L10S Ultra also allows you to mop with the grain of your wood. The Roborock updates seem to be straight out of the L10S Ultra. It seems crazy that Xiaomi owns 2 extra companies competing in the same space. I've also found the best solution is doing a full vacuum run followed by a full mop run personally.
It's very interesting, as I think this is the only TH-cam review where the carpet deep clean test was worse than the S7MaxV. All of the other reviews found the S8PU is better on carpet but worse on hard floors.
This review honestly seems like the outlier review. They may have a defective unit. Everyone else has had no complaints about the suction power or battery life. Id definitely like for them to exchange the white one for the black one since iirc the white ones on the s7 line had issues.
From the many reviews I've seen, I agree with you. The S8 was highly recommended for homes with higher pile carpeting and/or shedding pets. The S7 was considered superior when it came to hard surface floors.
Edging closer and closer to perfection but not quite there yet. It's great to hear that apart from the occasional catching of a carpet/rug edge the mop lifting does work. I heard some reports on the s7 Ultra that the pad didn't lift quite high enough and could still brush the mopping pad against the very top of a medium to high pile carpet. I can understand that clearing high pile might be unrealistic but clearing medium pile well is a must in my view so good to hear that the s8 Pro Ultra is doing that. My few regrets based on this review are... 1 - It's disappointing to hear that vacuum power, power efficiency and deep carpet cleaning seem to have gone backwards vs the previous s7 generation. 2 - I didn't like the look of those tangles on the brushes. I had Roombas where the brushes looked similar in the past with hair and threads wrapped around the brushes and the ends of the axles. One thing that I like about my current Ecovacs T8 AIVI is that I never seem to get any threads or hairs wrapped around the brush and the ends of the axle stays very clean. I was having to unwrap stuff from around my Roomba i7+ brushes and remove a lot of fluff from around the ends of the axles after most runs whereas my Ecovacs brush never needs attention apart from when the app tells me to replace it. 2 - Although I think it's great that the camera is no longer necessary for object avoidance I'd still like one in my perfect robot. Ecovacs provides a plastic cover that slips over the front so that could easily be provided for people with privacy concerns and with the new structured light system would no longer compromise object avoidance but for those of us who don't have privacy concerns an onboard camera gives the ability to photograph objects avoided (useful to see anything falsely recognised as an obstacle that might be confusing the robot) and also for home patrol - rather gimmicky I know but you never know when you just might need it. Perhaps more importantly though a visible light camera could probably work out when the robot was close to a junction between a hard floor and a carpet or rug and make sure it doesn't span the boundary to avoid that issue of wetting the edge of a rug or carpet. One other thing on the s8 Pro Ultra. I believe that you can get plumbing kits for the Ultra base now so that you can connect it to a cold water supply and a drain if those are close to the dock so that the waste water tank can automatically be emptied when it gets full using a lift pump to pump it out and the fresh water tank automatically filled when it drops below a certain level to give an even more hands-off experience. I'm still very tempted by the s8 Pro Ultra and am not sure whether I can hold out from buying an s8 Pro Ultra for another year until the s9 comes out (probably) because the s8 seems to be so close to perfect.
First time watching this channel because I have been obsessed with the Roborock S8 Pro Ultra even though its to WAY to expensive for me I love the technology behind it. This channel is amazing. Is there a specific testing methodology on how these tests got created? Do the tests get updated? any informative videos on ONLY the testing? I love it.
Definitely want you to mention in these videos whether the dock requires some kind of bags or other consumable to function, not having a "subscription" is a big deal to me.
With all the improvements to the S8 Pro Ultra like included drying and the dual brush ineas getting a bit of buyers remorse from getting the S7maxV Ultra last year. After hearing the carpet and crevice performance is worse I'm more secure in the S7 and I'll just get the drying module for that. Hopefully they can iterate on their dual brush and work out the kinks by the time i actually need to replace the device.Great review as always
I purchased the S8 Pro ultra and ended up sending it back and going with the S7 MaxV. I waited for all the updates and all the promises and it is just nowhere as good with obstacle avoidance as the camera based. They make all these big claims but the S7 Max v is just so much better and I got one refurbished from Amazon for $900 that was basically brand new with $100 three warranty. I honestly can't think of a good reason to go with the essay besides I'm certain some of these reviewers get kick backs.
I started looking for a replacement vacuum last year (I have one of the early Neatos, it's finally started to fail in weird ways) and however much I liked what Roborock is doing, the camera was the reason I held off. So since they're having a sale in a couple of days, I might just go for one of the S8 versions now.
My s8 pro successfully avoided two puppy piles today! Thank you and I will be more careful next time on my pre-clean. However, it was a great feeling I ain’t gonna lie
I was considering replacing my S7 Max V ultra with this, due to the two moping vibrators and dual rollers, but after seeing this, there isn’t a reason. I am eager to hear other comments on this though
I was trying to decide between the S7 MaxV Ultra and the S8 Pro Ultra this past month, to replace a 3 year+ old Roborock S6. With very low pile and low traffic carpeting on the 2nd floor, and mostly hardwood on the first, I chose the S7 since many reviews said it was superior on hardwood floors. I didn't feel the added price for the S8 was justified for my needs. And, ok, I admit it. I love the hell out of that video camera. Being an old man in a big house, this has changed my life. It does a beautiful job, saves hours of time each week, and spares my back.
I looked forward to dual brush so much and waited until s8 is released but im so disappointed with their power :( if s7maxV ultra and s8pro ultra were the same price, which one would you recommend to buy? What would be a reason to buy s8pro instead of s7maxV if there is any? (Except for mopping function (i dont use mopping))
I own the S7. Its biggest disadvantage for sure is obstacle avoidance, it does make many mistakes there (this is my first robo vac, im sure its better than others). Any improvements in that area i think are worth it
Hi! Thank you for the review and great job as always! I'm torn by this video because now, I'm contemplating on whether I should still splurge on the S8 Pro Ultra or save some money and get a decently discounted S7 MaxV Ultra? I was hoping for an all out knockout with the S8 but with the low carpet deep clean score and crevice pickup, I'm wondering if I should get it. Do you think they can fix this with a software update that improves suction? Or maybe we now need to run the robot on higher suction power to assist with the pickup? Please do a follow up video about this; I hope you'll do more tests and investigation on it. Maybe Roborock can help answer some questions too. I'll wait for a followup before pulling the trigger on the S7 MaxV Ultra
I feel exactly the same!! I watched the video anticipating it to only reaffirm what I want which is to buy the S8 but now I’m think about going for the S7!!
i love my S7, wish i waited a year and would have gotten this. my house is always a mess with cat toys. and its a bit annoying that they get stuck. but other than that i love my roborock

This channel convinced me to buy the s5 max when it was relatively new and now you've convinced me to upgrade to the s8 ultra. Great review.
Thank you! We hope you are happy with it!
The camera on my S7 has saved my butt multiple times when I had to check my home while traveling... I like that feature
The video that everyone was waiting for ! Thank you master of robot vacuum.
Awesome! Thank you!
This has been my favorite robot vacuum yet, roborock continues to bring innovative new features
super input. Thank you!
I think one of these robots has this feature but I cant remember which
I believe all the Shark Robot Vacs are bagless with the auto empty dock. I like mine!! :^)
Buying bags forever is a definite negative. Having allergy problems, though, mean a sealed bag is important to me. I'm hearing that Roborock will be unveiling zippered, cloth bags that are washable and re-usable. Stay tuned!
@@Dagot1948 That's awesome Tony! Thanks for sharing!
So glad you are happy with it!
@@ZenWe you have to clean the dock station after a few months but it’s not hard to. It scrubs the mop pad but the vacuum rollers
I've been following this channel for years, and its pretty crazy how cool your test have become!
Thanks so much!!
I really wish you'd include a test score for getting over door frames (or whatever they are called in English). In Europe, there's a ton of really tall doorframes in older apartments and houses. Some of them being up to 3cm tall, but more often 2cm.
I think any robot would struggle with these unless it had treads or large wheels like a tank lol
@@cwill2127 actually there's a big difference in how they are handled. My J7+ is able to climb a 3 cm doorframe after I made some minor modifications to the doorframe.
@@mathiaslorenzen9668 in America they’re often called a “threshold”
Interesting. I don’t think we have that in the US unless you’re going from a room with carpet to a room with another floor type (like wood) and it’s usually a small metal strip that’s barely noticeable.
Why do old building have them over there?
We have them in older homes. We call them thresholds
BEST REVIEW EVER. Straight to the point. Good visual ! You rock :)
Why thank you very much!
IT's really good to hear that it's worked so well for you. Enjoy those puppies!
I'll stick with my S7 & S7 MaxV for now
I think this is the only review which found it performed worse on carpets. All of the other reviews found it was better than the S7 MaxV on carpet.
@@adiands850 Potentially calling it that vacuum wars got a subpar item here just flawed enough to perform on average worse.
Honestly I don't buy anything smart robot vacuum wise without watching your videos. So tyvm for your hard work ❤
Thank you!
I've got my roborock s4 and it is still doing well but that mopping feature seems like a no brainer!!
Great review as always. I will upgrade to S9, my S7 is still a beast to justify the change.
The king has stepped foot.
😄
Huh??
@@BitSmythefuck that mean 😂
Thanks for the review and cementing my decision to stay with the S7!
Been watching every review on s8 pro untra since there was only one result on youtube. Waited to make a purchase decision until I saw what Vaccum Wars had to say. I think its the S7 for me. Thank you!
When you say only one result, what do you mean? I did a YT search now and there are around 12 reviews of the S8PU over the last few weeks.
We hope you are happy with whichever one you choose and we are happy to have helped you out!
Haven’t been around here for a long time. You’ve progressed so far with your methodology. Great to see!
Thanks, and welcome back!
Question: Is this a "worth-it" upgrade if you have a Deebot N8 Pro+
I bought one two days ago..
. So yes lol
I just got the N8 Pro+ and it's wonderful for the price. Upgrading just depends on how much you value the added convenience.
You should try comparing this to the S7 MaxV, because I think that would help a lot of people choosing, since your videos are really helpful.
The tech has finally reached the level where I'm interested (vacuuming and mopping). Wow!
Well that already happened a while ago. It is getting quite good however.
Lets gooooo. These are so hard to get in canada but ive been wanting to get a roborock forever thanks to your thorough reviews
Thank you!
If you’re near the US border, services like Kinek make it super easy ;)
Been using it for years
I have the S7 Ultra with the auto water fill/drain dock (ordered from china, they dont sell it "officially" in the rest of the world).
Could you please send me the link to what it is that you ordered? I’d love to not have to change the water.
@@Texas_Painter
It doesnt let me post links here.
You'll need to google it and you'll find it im sure.
Awesome review, without all those biased opinions!
Thanks!
Awesome. Navigation and hardfloor loocks sick. If we need smth except for bringing the price down, is a slick aluminum casing option.
I love the camera. I use mine on the S7 Max too find my dog while Im at work
Was about to upgrade from S7+ to S8U, then I saw a video about Dreame X20 last week.
Check out other reviews of the SP8U. They all say it has better carpet performance than the S7 MaxV.
to stay on the carpet better, without a doubt the solution is to place two mops, a smooth rubber one on the front to catch most of the hair and put another mop like the conventional ones, it doesn't make sense to put two identical mops, or put a mop with a brush and the system When turning, cut the hair.
Great review!
Im actually very glad they dropped the camera. Its obviously not necessary but is a privacy issue.
as someone with ocd this seems amazing , id like for you to put more input on how clean the unit stay after multiple use , I sold my old roomba cause it pretty needed a deep clean everytime it went out lol
Definitely agree. Really thorough and a great review. Thank you :)
Very welcome! Thank you too!
Amazing channel!! Found u randomly but love your videos. Never think vacuums be so interesting lol
Welcome aboard! Thank you!
Two things it sounds like it's missing, at least compared to competitors:
1. Auto vacuum-full emptying (not base, but vacuum)
2. Preset cleaning zones; not just rooms. I like making the rug or near a pets cage.
I don’t understand how all these companies can make vacuums return to their docks to charge, but not to empty their dust bin mid run. Mind boggling
Deebot it x1 still has a few more features over this but the mop lifting over carpet is nice.
Please do side by side comparison with Roborock S7maxV Ultra with the dryer module 🙏
I am a HUGE Roborock fan.I have had an S5 max for years and love it. With that being said I cannot being myself to spend $1,600 on a. Vacuum. That is insane. And I say this as someone that can easily afford it. I just choose not to.
What's the point of easily affording things then not buying them? You only live once and you can't take the money with you.
@@rtm135facts buy that Vac if not you just can't afford it
Sad to hear about the lack of power.. do you think it’s something that could be changed with an additional power setting as a software update even if battery life suffers? Maybe they handicapped it because power was draining too quickly?
I rn using my roomba i7 and now when its worn out ima try the ROBOROCK s7 maxv ultra because I needed a robot that vacuums and mops
Thank you! Looking forward to getting my S8 Pro very soon. It will be a huge upgrade from my current iRobot 981!
Those “old” 980s are peak iRobot IMO.
It has served us well.
Such a detailed review, thanks a lot
RE: Floor Mapping
When first freeing a robotic vacuum to chart the perimeter of rooms, is it best to pull away from walls as many furnishings as feasible?
Wow that final scene was quite cool
Thanks!
Thanks!
From what I've read, pet hair tests worked out to be about the same, so it doesn't even seem to have that advantage.
Thank you for this review, I was really looking forward to it and finding out how much it is different to S7 MaxV
You're very welcome!
04:36, don't leave us hanging, a lot of hair tangles, but no word about how it compares to the s7 maxv with regards to hair tangles!
Just like xiaomi vs redmi

S12 can fly and teleport through rooms
@@pablesm ill just settle with the S11, that can clip through walls

Is the ability to change mopping direction an S8 feature, or has that been made available for the S7 in an update as well?
That ending animation though....is no one going to talk about that?😮
We have been having some fun with that!
Looks like the S7 for me.. it's perfect to peek into my vacation home 1200 miles away...
That Midjourney morph at the end tripped me out.
Thanks!!
Great video and review as always. One thing is a vacuum system cost $1600.00 if should make supper for me also.
Thsnks for tne review. Tests are very proffessional!
I love it.
Definitely want you to mention in these videos whether the dock requires some kind of bags or other consumable to function, not having a "subscription" is a big deal to me.
well i have the previous one and i have to say, it's the best buy i've ever done
The AI visual effect at the end was hypnotizing!
Awesome! Thank you!
i love this robot so far, only annoyance is not being able to use other detergents like mr clean. i find i have more streaks with their solution.
My s8 pro successfully avoided two puppy piles today! Thank you and I will be more careful next time on my pre-clean. However, it was a great feeling I ain’t gonna lie
That outro is so fire 🔥
Thanks! We had some fun with that.
Great informative video! Just one question: how close can it mop at the edge of a wall? Will it leave few cms of unmopped area?
I have the same question! Did you happen to buy a Robo vac yet?Thank you!
I can’t wait to see Dyson tested on here ;)
I was considering replacing my S7 Max V ultra with this, due to the two moping vibrators and dual rollers, but after seeing this, there isn’t a reason.
Any improvements in that area i think are worth it
Thanks for your comment! But isnt s7 different from s7maxV? (Even without the dock options)
@@JJk-il5de yes, it’s they are different. Go with the s7 maxv, it’s worth it.

Would be neat if you could measure the standby power consumption and the consumption for vacuuming on the highest power setting per m2.
I still have my roborock s5 💪
THE OUTRO !! - Love the AI generated morphing sequence of what the Roborock could look in 50 years!
