    PRO TIP: If your sheet pan is an older workhorse like mine, you can spray it, line it with parchment and spray again. The whole thing can be lifted out to cool on a cutting board. You won't leave knife marks in your sheet pan when cutting. Peel away and reuse to separate layers after cutting.

    Happy Friday, my friends! This recipe was developed with YOU in mind. The #cdfam LOVES oatmeal and banana recipes, so I created super simple energy bar (highlighting these ingredients) that I think you will love!! Enjoy. XO-Dani

      Thank you for another great video 😊 I know what I am making!
      I have been loving your channel for years and it's so nice that you give us the recipes.
      Can I ask for something?
      I live in Norway, we don't have "quarter sheet pan" and most of us don't have cups.
      Is it possible for you too post the measurements in grams and the sizes in cm also?
      Teaspoon and tablespoons are ofcourse the same 😊

    • @PonytailRuth
      @PonytailRuth 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      Thanks for your wonderful recipes. As 'KattMus2010' also commented, those of us not living in America have no idea about cup and baking tray sizes (I am in England). We always work in weights for ingredients and measurements for baking dishes instead, so it would be really helpful if you could please say what they are.

    • @PonytailRuth
      @PonytailRuth 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@KattMus2010 I live in England and agree with you that we need weights in ounces or grams and measurements in inches or centimetres, as it's so different what the Americans use.

    Instead of 1 cup chopped walnuts:
    1/2 cup EACH-
    Walnuts, rough chopped
    Coconut, shredded unsweetened
    Pitted Medjool dates (about 2 large), finely diced. THEY'RE JUST AWESOME!

    I really love that you make things so accessible and easy for people to do. Why make healthier (and enjoyable eating) so complicated, expensive, or trendy? People will always come back for the classics, like a great wool topcoat in the winter -- furry shrugs (and dalgona coffee) wont last a season or more before the next "big thing" hits. Thank you for this recipe -- I have never made bars before, but it looks pretty easy, and I can't wait to try it! Cheers, and hope you and your loved ones are taking good care during this time.

    I know that this obviously takes away from the healthy factor a bit, but I decided to make some date caramel with a little maple extract and some sea salt, and laid that over the bottom of these after they cooled a bit, then I used Dani’s recipe for her chocolate magic shell from a while back and spooned that over the date caramel and omg-I’m in heaven. I hope Dani knows how much these recipes have inspired people throughout the years and even my additions were the result of her encouragement in videos… I kept thinking of her “whatever lights you up!” as I was doing it 😂

    I am doing mine with pumpkin puree, a mix of hemp seeds, cashews, pistachios and walnuts.

    I have made these countless times. So so good! My kids love them too. I’m wondering if I could keep them on the counter instead of the fridge? Would they not last as long sitting out?

    This is great because you cook the oats (yum!) also I plan to use almond butter instead of peanut butter

    Made this last night on my new quarter sheet pan. I followed the recipe except (1) I toasted 1.5C large walnuts (250 oven for 30M) and then chopped them. I meant to carefully measure the chopped nuts but forgot so I'm guessing that the 1.5C unchopped came to 1.25C chopped. Second tweak was I added splashes of soy milk because the batter was like cement. I used the equivalent of maybe 1/4C. Any nut milk would have loosened the batter. I used organic crunchy PB, no salt, roasted peanuts being the only ingredient. After the "loaf" cooled down, It slipped easily out of the pan onto a cutting board. THEY'RE FABULOUS. Maybe even a tad too sweet, so next time (1) I'll use at least 1/2C nut milk, (2) stick with whatever 1.5C of nuts equals when chopped (sunflower & pumpkin seeds, almond slivers, slices or toasted chopped hazelnuts would be great too), (3) double the cinnamon and vanilla, and (4) 1/4C chocolate chips and 1/4C cacao nibs to tamp down the sweetness and add crunch and nutrition. Dani, you are GOOD!!! Thank you!

    tried this recipe and it is very good. I will say they arent sweet enough for me so Id recommend adding some sugar or sweetened coconut flakes or something to add sweetness
